It became evident that there were flaws, and I first contacted Alan in May to notify him and ask him to come back to make the necessary corrections. My brand new liner was slipping loose, coming untucked and sliding into the pool, especially the deep end. Not just a little inch-long spot here and there; seriously long areas throughout the rim, and almost the entire width of the pool under the diving board, were coming undone. He had shoved what looks like broken Popsicle sticks in an attempt to get the liner to stay put in one corner, and this was basically the only area that was actually holding. Alan replied to my initial text by requesting photographs, which I sent the day he asked for them. I waited about 3 days and reached out to Alan again because I had not heard from him. When he finally did reply, he was very curt and indicated that I live too far away, it would take at least 5 hours with travel time, and he just couldn't do it in May as that is his busy season. I didn't realize how far he had traveled (in retrospect I don't feel that's my problem, either) but I am also a small business owner and I understand busy seasons. I waited patiently, then made several more attempts to reach Alan by both phone call and text to find out when he could come and correct the errors. I even asked if he has an associate who could help, or if he had any referrals he could provide for me. He has not replied to any of my messages. It is now August. His disrespect and disregard for me and my situation (after I spent so much money!!) leave me puzzled. I don't understand how a business owner can leave a customer with a major issue, an issue that he created, and I really don't understand how a business owner just completely blows off a good customer. I just bought this house with the huge in-ground pool, I could have been a client for years! It appears that Alan Marshall doesn't care about you, your project, or doing a good job. All Alan Marshall cares about is collecting your hard-earned money. Beware if you are considering hiring Marshall Pools to do work for you.

On top of that, his crew damaged my power to the house. He denies any of this, claiming that the water (we have a well) and electric were messed up when they arrived last Friday morning. I have pictures, video, witnesses, and home inspection reports that clear show/state that there were no electrical or water problems prior to "good ol' Eddie" and his crew. I have his "drawing" of the fence dimensions and the digital measurements that show he lied and FAILED. He did put in a MISS DIGG Ticket, as did I. And he told me something was weird and that he would make some calls. I told him in person the day before they did the fence work that the previous owner said that the gas and electric for the main house came in on the back corner. So he overestimated material needed, even given that he shorted me TWENTY-TWO FEET of fence. He did not put it where I wanted...put the gate on one side about a FOOT from the stair case so nothing can go through that gate save for a person going straight up the stairs. He damaged my power, and maybe my well pump and tried to claim it was already bad. I am going through a lawyer and my insurance (his insurance Bois Insurance, seems only there to protect him, not his customers when he screws up) but this guy needs to be reported. On top of everything else, my wife and I are both dealing with some health things AND I am a disabled Vet...something good ol' Eddie was told in passing...apparently he has no problem screwing over people and stressing out people just to gain a quick buck.

He did everything he said he would do and did it to exacting standards. His and his crew's work was just outstanding. We built our house 22 years ago. From the jump we had trouble with one of our retaining walls. It cracked as soon as it was built but the builder assured us it was 'just a shrinkage crack'. It was also so big it should have had rebar installed but he didn't to cut corners. We've tried for years to get someone to fix it. Including one individual who took our money and ran No one wanted to do it because it was an in between job, not big, but not small. We couldn't find anyone. Along came Craig. He told his plan of how he would remove the old broken wall and replace it. AND HE DID IT EXACTLY AS HE SAID HE WOULD! What a joy to find someone so dedicated. But the bacon on this sandwich was the price. Incredible! No deposit or money up front! He just said "pay me when it's finished." In retrospect, I wish I would've spent more to avoid working with Brandon & Miranda. When I originally booked, I was told the start date would be May of that year. The start date was pushed back further and further. I had to reach out for any sort of communication, as Miranda rarely followed through on getting back to me. We got our front porch redone and had a back deck built. I was told he would do the front porch to start, then the back deck after so that my children would still be able to utilize our yard during summer. Instead, he started on the front porch and dug giant holes in my backyard - insisting this had to be the case for permitting reasons. But then once the job started, I only got a maximum of 2 HALF days of work per week. Again, barely got any communication during. I'd have to reach out asking when/if they'd return and I only got a response part of the time. My favorite was being told there'd be a delay bc of materials being late even though the materials had been delivered to my house a week prior. The job finally finished about 6ish weeks after it began. Much much longer than the 2 weeks I was originally told. But I figured whatever, we'll leave it alone since it's done and they looked good. Except the quality was crap too. He changed the back deck plans without ever communicating that it'd be different (one side abruptly stopped creating a 4ft drop to concrete and I have small children & he built around a post we talked about him removing). Within a year, multiple rails on the front porch were coming off & the wood on the back deck was rippling, peeling in multiple places, & corner pieces were separating. I reached out 1 year before the 2 year limit in the contract was met but was told for the next year that I was "top of the repair list and Brandon would be out soon to assess and fix." He never came. Miranda never communicated. I even expressed concern that she was intentionally delaying it past the 2 year mark and I have her saying in writing that they'd honor it but it's been almost another whole year since I've even gotten a response. So, you might pay less going with Brandon but you're going to pay for that difference elsewhere. Strongly do not recommend!!!!!
