I love the Lone Tree Library! Small, quaint and easy to access (now that the entrance is one way and a red zone - thank you!).

OK first thing first. It took me six months to finally cave and call them. I have been wanting to…read morestart my own eBay sales for a while, and have been having some problems getting it started. I mean, I have sold some items here and there but I want to start a business, right? On TV they bombard you with these commercials all the time so I decided maybe they had a secret that I didn't know. eBay has been no help on their site, so I was turning to Video Professor. Please do not forget the fact that I have been purchasing from eBay since there were no eBay stores, and you bought junk out of peoples attics. I don't need a beginners lesson - an eBay for dummies. I wasn't told the free one you get is exactly that, but wait! You also get intermediate AND advanced lessons as a preview and if you do not send them back then they will charge you $190. When this slipped out of the girls mouth very quickly and she asked the "Is this OK?" I told her to HOLD and asked her if I could get one lesson, the advanced. No, I get all three! But I have to send the one I don't want back or I get charged. Let me state that there is nothing I hate more than bait and switch. Especially with my money. See the way it works is like this, had they been honest I would have absolutely purchased other lessons from them. She went from super sweet and helpful to bitchy after I had to tell her various times that I didn't want anything from them. As it is I am taking Mark a p's advice and going to the library.

So I decided to order the Access version from this company. I did enjoy the brief review. I think…read morethe program was well presented. It was a good review. I liked that there was a an extra "bonus" cd presentation. One thing is to make sure you read the quick start. While this CD comes cheap for shipping. You have 10 days to make two decisions. Actually one needs to be made quick. First, is this program going to be worth $190 to you. I believe I could have gotten a better deal going to a book store but I needed a quick review. So yes this was worth it as I got the needed knowledge. Second, this is a subscription program. Remeber those days when you bought CDs from that company? You were sent a shipment each month, if you didn't send NO back in time. This program doesn't offer a no option. You wil be CDs You have 10 days to send it back with an RA number. They make it difficult to get this and canceling further shipments. No over the phone will be done, unless you want them to call you back. So your two choices, Fax or over web. Response time is questionable. Make sure you keep your box the CDs were shipped in. You need your customer number to ship back, cancel and get a refund if needed. Sad thing is I need a bit more learning on Access, advance use along with an intro to SQL. Suggestions welcome.

I was privileged to be a part of the Spring 2018 Citizens Police Academy and it was a consistently…read morefun and informative experience. It lasted a very short 9 weeks, meeting every Thursday evening and three Saturdays. We had various speakers, mostly from Lone Tree PD but also from Parker K-9, Douglas County Impact Unit, Douglas County Regional Swat and Victim Advocates. Each session was devoted to different topics but the highlights had to be the Saturday, all day sessions. We got to drive two kinds of police vehicles on the training track (and kill lots of orange cones), spend a day "solving" a mock crime scene - going through every step a real officer and detective would, and learn all about shooting - from clearing a building in teams to an individual simulator session. The shoot house was so much fun - from "ramming" down the door to shooting real "paintmunition" at posters of bad guys that were moved around to different spots each time we went through the "house". The Lone Tree PD was incredibly welcoming, open and honest. They made us feel like part of the police department and told us stories about their training and experiences. There were also lots of volunteers (the VIP's) for the PD who helped with every session. They added greatly to the program and it wouldn't have been the same without them. Without making this review too long, I just want to mention a few more activities that were included. We got to try out the laser guns to clock traffic out on the street, we learned about DUI enforcement and got to try on goggles that simulated being drunk. We learned about domestic violence and the history of fingerprints. We learned about AXON body cameras and tasers and toured dispatch and the crime lab. We watched demonstrations of "use of force"and tried out handcuffs. The icing on this cake was our graduation ceremony where they humorously went over our experiences, passed out awards, certificates, and a picture collage, and each graduate was also given a flash drive of all the pictures the volunteers had taken throughout the academy. This was the most meaningful, enlightening experience I've had in a long time and I'm grateful to have been a part of it.

She went above and beyond telling me and giving me every single detail of the "Medical Sales College." I suggest anyone interested in this college ask for her by name, again her name is Abby. I also suggest that all of her superiors see and understand what an, after losing my husband a few years ago at a very young age to suicide with three children I amazing employee they have because I was not sure if I even wanted to do college. I just wanted to keep doing sales, but all the details to the T she gave me and all the encouragement, I don't think she understood how bad I needed that and I will always be so very appreciative to this woman. One last thing I would like to say to her superiors/bosses, I really hope this shows you just how far a wonderful person with a great attitude can take your company farther and farther! again, Abby, I want to tell you thank you for your encouragement, the kindest words, they must have amazing words that kept me feeling like I'm worthy enough to keep going no matter what's happened to my life and I've always known my kds deserved a mom to be proud of. So thank you very much for your sweet and amazing words that gave me strength to become the mother I was before the father passed away!

Only 1 of the 4 in sports medicine even got a real job in the field. In the hip/knee class, only the young, white males got jobs with companies like Smith and Nephew, DePuy Synthes, etc. Those jobs pay salaries and bonuses over 6 figures. The other guys over 35 took 1099 jobs or ended up back in their old careers within 18 months. Being a 1099 rep, is not a real job for what you spend at MSC because you can get that without the benefit of a certificate from MSC. This school is very slick with the marketing, but that placement rate only works for those folks on the graduate testimonial page. And really...only those in the big name companies are going to make that 6 figure mark in the first 2 years on the job. Choose wisely. You'd be better off going to surgical tech training, working in the ER for 6 months and then applying to a big company. Better ROI regardless of your age/race.

You have no contact with anyone except the so-called support counselors, who are never supporting of the students. They are rude and condescending whenever you try to get their assistance. The only answer they give is there is nothing we can do because it is too late when they were the ones who dropped the ball in doing their jobs correctly. I had a family emergency PLUS the area in which I lived was hit with a freak storm that knocked out power for two weeks (the area was in a state of emergency declared by the President Obama which occurred in June 2012). I contacted my support counselor Lauren to let her know what was happening. I told her I did not currently have access to Internet. I was 7 weeks into my FIRST 8-week course with a 98 average. My professor said I was doing well in the course and that I could finish it when I was able. Her response to me was "I will look into doing an INC for you". I NEVER heard from her again until August 2012 when she tried to sign me up for another course. I told her I was locked out of the original course and said I was not ready to return yet and would in November, but in the interim I wanted to complete my original course. Lauren's constant response was "let me see what I can do". I was expecting to have something done to my satisfaction, so I continued to take courses. A year later and still nothing was done, Lauren was no longer a support counselor, I was never notified of any changes, and I had to start the process all over again. This time it was within a week that the new counselor said that the only thing that could be done was to officially drop the course, pay for it again, and retake! If that is not a scam, I do not know what one is! My professor is no longer with the university, and I cannot get access to the Dean to let him know what is going on in his program. So I let my support counselor know that I would not be taking any more courses until I can talk to the Dean directly. Their response was to drop me from the program completely!
