It's always nice to get out of the office and away from the usual work grind. Because we all could…read moreuse a little better time management, I registered for a Time Management through Outlook course at Mission Critical Training. In all reality, it was my boss's idea to attend, so I could come back and brief him and the other supervisors (all 20 of them) on how we can all utilize our time more efficiently. Located off Alton Way in the Tech Center, the building was easy to spot and provided a decent amount of parking. However, entering the lot is a bit tricky, as there is only one entrance and exit creating a little bit of havoc. Despite the awkward parking layout, the building itself is large, and shares the space with surrounding businesses. There is another location in Westminster as well - but I have yet to go there! To the left of the front door, is where the training happens! Filled community tables, with sleek laptops all facing the front, there is no bad seat in the house. The course itself was interesting, both introductory and complex, and lasted just one day. We were given an instruction book, with spaces to take notes, fill in the blanks and provided us with a more interactive experience. We were allowed a generous hour for lunch and ended the day early after plowing through the lessons in record time. Courses are offered on a variety of topics, with some lasting longer than others and start at $450 - which isn't half bad! Ken, our instructor for the day, was insanely friendly, providing fun conversation - both professional and personal - and allowed plenty of time for all types of questions. He also provided coffee with 7, I repeat 7, different kinds of flavored creamer for our enjoyment! After all was said and done, it wasn't a bad way to spend the day and can see me attending more courses in the future!

Our recipe for an excellent training experience is simple: top instructors teaching small classes in a live and in-person format. We give students hands-on experience and individual attention to help them remember more and feel more confident. We also give students the opportunity, through free class retakes and workshops, to keep their knowledge fresh. * Small class sizes Seats are limited in all of our classes. A small class size gives each student more attention from the instructor, and more time and opportunity to ask questions. You can't get lost in the back of the class. * Individual Attention We know everyone doesn't learn at the same pace. Our instructors are available to work with you to make sure all your questions get answered, and you feel comfortable with the material. * Hands-on Learning All of our classes include ample hands-on interaction, so you can immediately try out your new skills. Our computer training courses all have structured practice projects to ensure you fully understand each lesson. * Live Training Live instructors deliver our Denver and Phoenix training classes in an engaging and interactive way. Unlike a computer screen, our instructors can assist you in gaining a thorough knowledge of the subject matter...

I asked them about the material each 2 weeks and asked what grade level it was applied to. They stated it was not applied to a grade level. However at the end of 8 weeks, $30,000 later I paid them, the director Liz tested him and told me he improved " TWO GRADE LEVELS". Having done testing on him prior to starting this program, that would have meant he went up to 7th grade and I was happy. Only until my education lawyer discovered they meant 2nd grade, and told me they did nothing for my son, to obtain a lawyer and proceed for fraud against the school. This school will ignore your questions, or issues. They will not reply to you after they think they have made their justification. They will not offer you a refund after you have proven their program didn't work. They will try to talk you into more testing done by them, and doing their academy which is $80,000 a year. This has been the most hurtful experience I have ever had with a company that claimed they could help my son, and did nothing but lie.

This cookie cutter approach to teaching individuals has strong advertising and internet presence…read more It is not suitable for younger children. It is held in an office setting with very little room for movement and play. Testing is done in-house with a strong arm approach to enrollment. The stress students experience will influence their wish to continue to read or study in the future. Parents kept in the dark except for well rehearsed sessions that are designed for buy in and future payment. Get the books and do it yourself; this isn't rocket science! Those who "train" your child using much the same approach as dog training, often don't even have a degree in teaching.
