He took the time to email me and let me know that the particular arrangement I asked for was out of stock, and was thoughtful enough to send a replacement. When I told him I had another arrangement coming, he let me keep the original arrangement - free of charge. The flowers were beautiful, and the customer service was even more excellent. Ordered flowers for a service at Bailey funeral home. Upon arrival they were not there. The funeral home director called them and got a mailbox full message. Checking phone in Spam there was a message the order was cancelled by the florist. Not reliable. read more

I live out of state and had a family member who had surgery. I called Doug, he took my order over the phone, was kind and accommodating. I guess I just thought for $130 I would have gotten something bc larger. Not that this wasn't pretty, just far smaller than I expected. I guess buyer beware. read more

I wanted to post pictures of the Wedding cake topper for my brother and new sister's wedding! We ordered the cake and flowers a week before the ceremony. I purchased this beautiful topper from Doug and placed it on the cake myself. The flowers were gorgeous. On this Saturday during Covid quarantine, Doug answered the phone with a friendly demeanor and a positive can do attitude with regards to a delivery to Morristown Hospital for a friend diagnosed during this time with metastatic cancer and having just had surgery in the hospital. I say the above because one florist did not answer and one answered and said they were scared to go to the hospital and would not do it ... but Doug did not even think twice (he did want to make sure they were accepting deliveries and did his own due diligence on top of mine.) Ordered flowers for my mom's birthday gift to her office as I would not be able to see her. I used the online ordering system and was happy I got a confirmation immediately. The day of the delivery, late in the afternoon I still had not heard about the bouquet so I called to see when it would be delivered. They told me it was not in their system (despite the confirmation email I got) and they probably wouldn't have time to deliver by the time my mom left work. The florist was pretty nice and told me he would be back in the shop soon to call me. Instead he called my mom to try to arrange an alternative for her. I thought it was inappropriate he talked to the recipient without permission instead of arranging something with the customer. He did not even offer to discount the flowers. He got pretty testy when I told him I didn't want the alternative and hung up abruptly. I would not trust the online ordering system or whatever delivery organization they have. I thought using a local florist things would be better run. The whole thing really ruined my day and cause me to write my first ever online review of a place. read more

In general, his arrangements are creative and tasteful. I would recommend calling rather than ordering online, just because Doug is such a pleasant and helpful guy. I called Doug at 6pm on a Saturday night as I had forgotten to take care of a VERY important arrangement for a client of mine that needed to arrive THAT SAME DAY. Not only did he take the call from his cell phone while he was out on deliveries, he pulled over to fully take my order and did it with patience, compassion and a smile (I could hear it in his voice). I offered to pay double or a 'rush' fee and he declined. I was so impressed that he managed to make this happen for me. AND - he texted me a photo of the arrangement (which was lovely) and let me know all was taken care of. His floral skills are obvious, but his customer service is TOP NOTH and I wish there were more stars to award him and his business. read more

I received 2 dozen roses last Valentine's Day candlelight was our florist of choice even though they are almost 50 miles away my roses were all dead within 2 days I called spoke with the owner he had me send him a pic of the wilted roses so he could get a credit from his supplier and gave me a FULL credit all was well till this year I called him last week to c if he though I should get a different rose that would hold up better ,my husband just picked up 1 dozen roses and the owner said that was all he was getting take it or leave it and blamed it on me that was what I ordered (not) and why did it take me a yr for replacement best part is the roses he said were special order are not even lavender lol and they are withered around the edges roses are not cheap do not use Candellight Florist your flowers won't last and the owner isn't a honest person so sad about this and we will not drive 50 miles ever again what a rip off read more
