I enjoyed my stay this week - was there for 1 night on business. Didn't use the bar downstairs at all or really any amenities. Staff was kind at the front and the warm cookies are always delish. Bed was very comfortable and I felt the room was pretty clean. (I am a bit OCD so this says a lot!) would recommend if you're in the area. Hotel is down a really long road and a bit out of the way, but very quiet. Would recommend!

a few of these bottles strewn around the pool area the next morning

I was on a business trip and brought my wife and son. My son loves hotel pools, so we booked this hotel. Little did I know it was going to be a complete shit show. The pool was PACKED with locals, not just a few but well beyond capacity (Pool capacity is 25 and there were over 20 kids in the pool not counting the adults) I knew it was locals because families kept knocking on the door of the pool area, not using their key. It was so packed there was literally no place to sit or put down our belongings. All the time these kids in the pool, who were mostly unsupervised by parents more concerned about drinking than watching their kids, were diving into the pool from all sides. I eventually pulled my son out of the pool for fear he may get injured after seeing twice that kids jumped into the pool and landed very close to his head. Other disgusting things, a family let their little girl, about 3 or 4 years old, simply squat at pee on the floor in front the pool, a little puddle forming underneath as she squatted, which made no sense given there are two bathrooms in the area. There were staff inside the pool area, restocking towels, so staff knew it was packed with locals. I left the pool area with my son, and noticed as we left that there was a trashcan propping open a door to the outside parking lot, allowing locals to come in. When I got back to our room my wife called the front desk to tell them, and they didn't seem to give a rats ass about our complaint. So, we called Hilton Honors, to complain there and they called the hotel and told us a Manager on Duty at the hotel would investigate and follow up with us...but we never got any call from them or any contact from any MOD. The next morning I talked to a staff member who openly admitted that each weekend during the cold months that locals will rent a few rooms and invite all their friends to the hotel. So, the hotel is totally aware this is going on. What angers me is not just that turn a blind eye to it, but also that it negatively impacts the experience of those of us who are traveling and anticipating a hotel pool experience, not the local YMCA experience...and hey at least the YMCA has some standards, and this place had none. And, a kid can easily get hurt someday if this madness continues. The parents are drinking and not paying attention to their kids. I have posted images below of the whiskey bottles still on display in the pool area. Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter!!!!

Nice hotel. Plenty of parking. Right off the high. Only 10 minutes to salem New Hampshire and about 30-35 to Boston. Lots of restaurants around. Smooth check in, usually 3pm but they were ready for us at 2pm which was nice. They give you walnut chocolate chip cookies at check in. 5 floors and we got put all the way on the top floor in the back corner which at 9 months pregnant sucked to have to waddle all the way but it was a very full weekend. Beds cozy. Good smelling soaps in room. A mini fridge. 2 chairs and a table on the balcony. Can see the stars at night. Gym & pool are both open!

Hotel was pretty nice until we entered the room. Several dirty areas and damaged sheets. Giant nasty hair ball in the toilet which wasn't that big of a problem once we did the longest flush in history. Water pressure in the toilet was weak but the shower was nice. Ordered from the restaurant at night and after waiting for over an hour I decided to go down and sure enough the food had been sitting there for a while, they then said they called the room but couldn't leave a voicemail as it wasn't set up...The phone never rang and also it's now our phone it's the hotels? Maybe come to the door next time. Lastly, we were charged $60 for two people for breakfast which was advertised as an "Easter" breakfast, would have been nice to know we'd be charged. There was no included breakfast. Overall it was fine but it's def not a 3.5 more like a 2.5. Pros: Restaurant and Bar were nice, there's a pool and hot tub. TV was a nice size and the shower was nice. Plenty of parking and we were able to check in at 12 (this could have resulted In the dirty room), and check out at noon the following day. Cons: Room had several dirty areas and damaged sheets, the blankets didn't seem to be able to be removed or pulled up. The temperature thingy was weird and didn't seem to work.

Spoon served in the spilled mess. Not fixed just got me a mother spoon.

It's a little hard to find at night but when I did find it I was quite pleasantly surprised. It's consistent like every other SpringHill- which are my preferred work hotels. This location doesn't have the full kitchens like most SpringHill Suites do, but it's fine with me- they have a fridge and microwave. Staff are very polite and efficient. Workout room is clean and well-equipped. I'm in Andover 3 or 4 times per year for work, and this will be my hotel to stay at going forward. The quiet setting makes you feel like you're in the middle of New England. Highly recommended.

BUTTT... the fridges in our rooms were not cold, there were loose hairs all over the "clean" towels and bathroom floors. Wouldn't bring up the hair but seeing black strands of hair when nobody has black hair in the room was very disturbing. Not only was there hair that didn't belong to us the water was brown and murky. We were told that the city was contacted, but there was nothing changed. the hot water however was okay and clean but basics you do with cold water (brushing teeth, washing face) was done in hot water or with water bottles. i would not recommend this specific location; literally would only go to see Grizzi* (hope I spelled her name right).

We try to stay with the Hilton brand to maximize point accumulation and this also satisfied that expectation. I booked ahead online, checked in and selected my room with the Hilton app before my arrival. I was working several miles South of the hotel but my colleagues staying and working at the same location convinced me this was a good area and good place to stay. The drive back and forth to the Wilmington area was consumed with traffic on I-93 in the direction I was going everyday. I was surprised to find out the traffic on I-93 was so much the "breakdown" lanes (shoulder) on the highway was open going South toward Boston from 6-10am and going North away from Boston from 3-7pm. The room was perfect for what I needed and it was very quiet. I booked a King studio suite which includes a small kitchenette. There was a king bed with a couch and coffee table with an ottoman under the coffee table. The kitchenette included a sink, microwave, smaller stovetop and a full size fridge. I stopped at a nearby grocery store when I arrived and purchased a few items to have in my room. My checked bag had significant damage to one of the wheels which compromised the hard case. I was concerned it would not last on the return trip. I chose to purchase a new bag on Amazon instead of driving and searching for something. I had it delivered to the front desk with my name. I let them know ahead of time that it would be arriving. When I got the notification it arrived, I went to the front desk after work and picked it up. It worked flawlessly and I was able to use the new suitcase to get my belongings safely home. Overall it was a good stay, quiet and comfortable. It was easy in and out and not too far from my work. However, I do not like the area or the traffic. This is way too busy for my liking. I likely have to travel here again but I would rather be visiting an area with far less traffic.

I will say that the worse part was the small in the hallways. They might have just cleaned the carpets but it wasnreally bad our first day. By the end of our trip, it seemed to start going away. The tub also needs to be fixed. It was caving in so it was really difficult to stand in the shower. Outside of that, everything else was perfectly fine.

The elevators sound ancient and creaky, the lobby seemed dated, and the carpet was dirty looking. There was also a lack of items like dental kit available. The biggest issue was when we checked into our rooms we found ticks. The insects or ticks were particularly concerning because it made us paranoid about bed bugs especially with the other reviews. Fortunately, the front desk politely moved our room and tried their best to accommodate. The additional star is definitely because of the helpful front desk staff in that situation. We also had other issues like the housekeeping not showing up and the boiled eggs at the breakfast tasting spoiled. Overall this Marriot dropped the ball with the insect/tick issue, maintenance, cleanliness problems, and missed housekeeping.
