OK, I've passed this place a few times while visiting Victoria but yesterday I finally succumbed to my cravings and feelings of nostalgia! I can't say much about any of their other offerings but they offer pizzas, calzones, stromboli, sandwiches and even a buffet option with pizza, dessert, a salad bar and my favorite, Peproni Rolls! As a poor college student, their Peproni Rolls (AKA pizza rolls minus the sauce) sustained me once a week, as it was BOGO, and being on a budget, this fit! When we entered it took a bit of time to be serviced as they seem to be short staffed but the employees were very nice. We also had to wait a bit as they ran out of Peproni rolls, as I put in an order for a dozen as that was their Sunday Special. It wasn't as good as their Tuesday .90 cents pep rolls, but 12 for $13.99 is better than the regular $16.50. I like how they had an open prep area because I love watching people make food, but this time it was actually kinda gross as I observed not so safe food of food, but bf said he already expected this... Sigh, hoping the oven killed the germs we went ahead and ate them as we needed fuel for the tornado warning ride home! OK, so the first Peproni roll I ate was really good, nice crunchy outside and fluffy and cheesy/pepperoni filled inside. However, the second and third and fourth Peproni rolls were drier, tougher and doughier, like you would bite in and have to gnaw your piece off, I was quite sad. Luckily for them, their Ranch dressing is sooo tasty that when you pair it with anything, it makes it taste so much better. Oh yeah you also have the choice of Marinara, and in college I used the mix the two together, best of both worlds! Due to its convenient location from work to my hotel. I figured I give it a try. Ordered a 16 piece wings. Wrong choice, the chicken wings skin was under cooked. It was neither crispy or at least broiled to a degree greater than soggy chicken skin. After attempting to enjoy this $22.00 dollar meal I gave up and asked the young lady to kindly broil the wings This seemed to be a diffacult task she soon returned with the wings on the same condition only warmed up. She provided her excuses and reasons and my reply was only "For future refrence when you do have a customer advisebthem on the meal you are selling them. For example, these wings will not be broiled, or crispy. Would you lije them that way? Of course, and of course what a waste of money for a trash meal. read more

In case you are traveling thru, this is an excellent pit stop, Buffet is $10 per adult and $6 per child. Quick and delicious. The staff was super friendly and asked if our group had a special request pizza we would like them to make. Clean restrooms, with full soap dispenser and automatic paper towels. only possible thing that gave me pause, they are Pepsi fountain drinks and Im a Coke fan. Ha. Super satisfied, just as Double Daves should be. Can get gas at the adjacent Shell Station and be on your way. read more

Dropped by this Friday night and was very impressed with the service. Everyone there was extremely friendly an attentive. Enough to stand out from other locations. Food was good as expected and matches my experiences at other Double Daves. Hot and delicious pizza and pepperoni rolls. I knocked off a star because some of the tables were left trash on them from previous customers and remained that way while we were there; and they could have used a wipe down. On a rainy night what's better than a hot, delicious, delivered pizza and a movie? I'm lot sure, because I only got 1/2 of that equation. I got a movie and pizza, it was delivered, but it was neither delicious or hot. In fact, it arrived over 90 minutes from time of delivery and was barely warm and barely edible. My husband and I each ate one piece of our large pizza and decided to head out for food. We will stick with Joe's in the future, even if we have to brave the weather to pick it up. read more

tried out new location yesterday love the new building very nice n clean , love the pizza too very yummy .....But after ordering a large pizza and a soft drink came too $23 and change ..kind of high for 1 pizza , but ok with that.....but when leaving I asked for a cup to put water in to go. .the worker told me it be 23 cents I could not beleave it after making about 200% on the pizza and soda they really had to charge 23 cents for a empty cup with there advertisement on it Hmmmmmmmmm !!! read more

I loved the Double Daves in Dallas so I assumed that this one would be good also, I was wrong. Just like every other chain restaurant in Victoria it was not on par with the quality of other locations. The employees were rude, the buffet didn't have but three pizzas on it , and all the booths were dirty. Guess I'll just buy frozen pizza from now on. read more

I was a fan of DD since my college days. I'm here to tell you though, worst DD experience ever! Not only was it CRAZY EXPENSIVE, but it wasn't even mediocre this time. It was less than mediocre. In fact, it was really bad!!! Here's my complaint: Two pizzas, 6 pepperoni rolls and a bottle of Dr Pepper was $52. That's without a tip for the driver. The cost would've been fine, if it was a good product, but it wasn't even close to good! It was the opposite of good!!! The $5 hot n ready is a better quality pizza, @ a fraction of the price. I tried to email the company before I blasted them on the internet, but they make that impossible to do. So, as a last resort, I downloaded the yelp app and wrote this review. I'm not looking for anything free or discounted. I just want them to fix their store!!!if I was DD corporate, I'd be embarrassed!!! BTW, this was not my first bad experience with this DD. After a long week of work, all I want is want to do is sit in my hotel and relax. I've run out of delivery options and decided to try this place. Being from Philly I decided to try the cheesesteak. I got it plain, no onions or shrooms. I was really I impressed! In Philadelphia it's the roll that make a great sandwich and they nailed it. The sandwich is a little spicy but it made for a unique meal. I also tried a pepperoni roll which was great as well. The sauce is really good with it. I'd highly recommend this place. If I ever get back you can be sure I'll be back. Good job guys. read more

Lunch buffet review only: finally attended last week! How awesome is it that they offer the Pizza of the Month in their buffet? Pay one price and basically sample every possibility! The salad bar was PERFECT! I had my fresh broccoli, bacon bits, sunflower seeds, banana peppers, and the good kind of ranch dressing! Fresh crunch with that section! The pizza is on rotation in it seems like 10 minute intervals. Great atmosphere; perfect for workers on lunch breaks. Staff is diverse, happy, everyone gets along! Great for families, friends and my single folks here! Will be attending in a few days again. Can't beat that price for that delicious meal. 5 star service, 4 star pizza, which is excellent for a city like Victoria. The barbecue pizza here gets 5 stars though, and their bacon tastes amazing. Worst dining experience ever! It had been a while since we had eaten here so we decided to take the family on Sunday evening. The restaurant was busy but not packed, the guy at the register was the only pleasant part of our dining experience. There were no clean empty tables to sit at and the room behind salad bar was "closed" for a reservation. We asked if we could sit at one of those tables we were told they were reserved, when I asked "where are we supposed to sit then?" I was told "I guess in the game room", mind you it had barstools and high tables and I have a toddler. Finally after standing there a few mins the guy sent out someone to clean the dirty tables, upon sitting in the booth we discovered that when the guy cleaned the table he spilled a glass of ice and we had to clean it ourselves with the paper towels on the table. There was dirty silverware and water all over the floor. To make a bad experience even worse, One of the bus boys bumped into my husband with the dirty dishes tray and spilled nasty dishwater (or whatever that liquid was) all over my husbands arm and leg. The guys in the kitchen area were just laughing and pointing. Now, I have never written a review about anything before but this was truly the worst dining experience I've ever had hands down, and the food wasn't very good either. And the "so called reservation" never showed in the 45 mins we were there! If I could give this zero stars I would! read more
