Double Dave's Pizzaworks is a great hidden gem in League City. The staff are kind, it's clean inside with awesome decor, and their lunch buffet is decent. Double Dave's doesn't just serve excellent pizza, they also have wings, strombolis, pepperoni wraps, strudels, dessert pizzas, a salad bar, sandwiches, and of course, the cheesy breadsticks. Yes, for those of you who like to drink (not me), they have a wide selection of beer. Every menu item is made fresh from the kitchen with natural ingredients. There's a backroom for private parties. If there's a pizza you want to try, but it's not on the buffet table, the staff will make it for you. Double Dave's have several TV screens, air hockey, and some claw machines too. Cons: Their menu prices are outrageous, you're better off with Double Dave's lunch buffet instead because it's a little cheaper. Double Dave's Pizzaworks is easy to miss. When my granddaughter, who's now 21, would spend weekends with her dad we would take her to Double Dave's before taking her home. We lived in Spring at the time. To move here and realize there was still one close was huge. My son has passed and she meets me here every year for his birthday. Love this store! Manager/Owner(?) is always very kind. Though the prices are extravagant. I highly recommend going anywhere else. The people we nice, however as a connoisseur. This denial of alcoholic beverages after drinking 2 small beers. They should have told me this BEFORE ordering so I didn't waste my time. I'm told they only allow 1 beer every 30 minutes as I was about to order dessert. Truly, do not recommend going here unless you wanna spend time because they limit the service that I requested as I imagine they do to others. If not then it's discrimination and I am considering a lawsuit due to this. I was very clearly sober still asking for 1 last beer with my new order of food which they require. Double Dave's Pizza is typically one of my most favorite pizza places to frequent. Unfortunately over the years, many of the storefront have closed. So a few weeks ago when I found myself near a double days, I was excited to be able to enjoy what I was hoping to be a great meal. We arrived in the middle of the buffet timeframe, expecting to find a good selection. Unfortunately, there was no fresh pizza. We understood that sometimes this can happen and sat down to a wait the fresh pizzas. Instead of preparing range of pizzas with different toppings, they placed three pizzas all with the same toppings. They didn't even make a pepperoni pizza. I asked for a cheese pizza and instead they provided some cheese looking concoction with no pizza sauce. Finally after 35 minutes they finally placed a slightly better variety of pizzas, those still not providing a cheese pizza. As I was getting my food, one of the employees asked how things were going, and I mentioned that this was not my favorite visit. He asked what was wrong and so I explained my concerns. When it was not a positive review, he complained that I should not say negative things in front of other customers. When I tried to remind him that he asked me for my opinion he can't then be upset when it's not favorable. Not providing adequate supply of pizza would be understandable if the restaurant had been full however they were only a handful of other patrons. I truly hope this was just an off day for them and not declining quality coupled with poor customer service. Shame on you, Double Daves, you should do better. read more

The dough is always raw :( It doesn't matter if you order the pizza rolls, regular crust or thin, "crispy" crust pizzas, the dough is always raw and inedible. It is difficult to show the raw dough via pictures, but cooked dough isn't pale, stretchy or moist. First time stopping in. You notice the decor right away. It's a fun mix of sports themes and games. Great place to bring the kids just for that. We were just in time for the buffet. The salad bar was good. Everything was fresh and tasty. There was a variety of pizzas, pizza rolls, bread sticks and desserts. Everything was wonderful and fresh. Waited over 2 hours and called the store 3 times, finally the delivery driver nonchalantly comes to the door with someone else's totally wrong order. We noticed it after he left and I went outside in my pajamas to flag him down and let him know he gave us the wrong order. No apology, just was handed our own crappy order that is some of the grossest food I've ever attempted to eat. Wow, was this place awful. Context, my family was going to a seafood restaurant in kemah which I love immensely. But I simply didn't feel like going out. So I decided to stay and order pizza. I found this place on Uber eats and decided why not. I order pizza and breadsticks with some marinara. Delivered on time. Eat breadsticks, breadsticks are tasty. Eat pizza, flavorless, barely heated, barely cooked, barely any flavor at all. I got pepperoni and pepperoni wasn't even on half the pizza. There was barely any cheese. I ordered deep dish and instead I got thin crust. I had to eat a brownie and drink an orange soda to get the crap taste out of my mouth. Don't recommend at all P.S I ate 2 pieces because I was starving. The third went to my dog which as soon as I put the slice in his mouth, he spit it out so I threw it away. read more

This place is amazing! We came about an hour before closing so we weren't really expecting a super fresh pizza buffet but the family was hungry. As we walk in we were greeted with a smile with great service! As soon as we sit down they refill the entire buffet with freshly made pizza that was super hot and delicious! The salad bar was amazing & the ambiance was great! The TVs were a great addition because we love watching sports! One of the servers gave our baby a cute doggy stuffed animal as a gift while we were eating. The games were fun as well! Overall we had a wonderful experience and the manager of this establishment came and talked to us for a bit to make sure we had everything we needed and expected. Their deep dish is incredible, flaky crust all around with a soft and flavorful inside. Great flavor as well, and their other pizzas are just as good too! This place also has great, caring people. A lady employee had came up to my wife and I with 2 toys for our 9 month son to pick whichever he liked most. There aren't many Double Daves around. I used to eat the buffet quite a bit back in the day. The main dish that they are known for are those legendary pepperoni pizza rolls. Dip them in ranch and you're all set. There is a nice selection of hot and fresh melt in your mouth cheesy pizzas to be had here. They will even ask you if you would like a particular pizza made to order. There is also salad to be had on the buffet. Overall good quality pizza. And on occasion it's listed on another app to where if you link your card you'll actually get cash back for dining with them. My only gripe is that the cashier assumed I wanted a drink and rang me up for it. Most places just don't add this to your Bill without confirmation. I didn't make a big deal about it oh well. Overall great family and sports atmosphere will be back when in league city again. read more

Recently changed ownership and I've tried so hard to continue to give my business. During the transition I had multiple orders not delivered - or rather after an hour I'd call (literally live 2 min away) and it was obvious my order hadn't been made for whatever reason. I've started doing pickup instead of delivery as that seems to work better. My fave for years has been buffalo chicken pizza. But now it seems different and not cooked through. I finally had to take it back tonight. Manager kindly offered to remake and I waited about 20 min. Finally went up to counter and it hadn't been redone. Ugh never mind. Seriously disappointed in the customer service that Double Dave's provides. Why offer the ability to use Door Dash, when they refuse to take Door Dash orders? I have been a customer of Double Daves for about 10 years now. After waiting awhile for an order through Door Dash, I had received a notification from Door Dash saying that Double Dave's canceled my order. Double Dave's didn't even have the decency to contact me to let me know that they didn't want to take the order. This is now the second time this has happened to me when attempting order from Double Dave's within the past couple weeks. Then when I called, the employee was rude and not helpful in answering any of my questions as to why my order was dropped. Needless to say, I will no longer be giving my business to Double Dave's. Awesome atmosphere and staff! I was close and needed a drink! I chose DoubleDave because it looked inviting! It is in a smaller strip mall so I was shocked when I open the door and there's this huge fun looking restaurant! They have video games and wooden booths! They had a pizza buffet because it was lunchtime and a salad bar, plenty of video games for the kids or the adults and bottle or fountain drinks! Their menu is extensive and the food looks great. To top it off the person that waited on me gave me a cup to get my fountain drink with then didn't even charge me it was free! What more could you ask? I will definitely go back for pizza! read more

Don't bother going to this place if you are hungry! Went on a Wed. evening at about 6:50pm, waited for a good 5 to 10 minutes at the counter before a worker finally came out and acknowledged me. I paid for two buffets and my son and I got our drinks. Then I noticed my son sit down and I asked him why he was not eating? He answered because there was NOTHING to Eat! I went out and looked and he was right! No pizza just empty pans on the buffet! I looked at the salad bar. Most of the bane Marie's were not even out, and there was very little salad in the big bowl at all! I asked if they had some more pies coming out to the buffet and was told yes. This place has really gone down!!! This pizzas aren't cooked on the bottom and the staff are very rude. One of the reasons that we loved coming here was how friendly the staff was. Even though it's true they seem to be too high or cheap to make the correct amount of pizza at buffet times, I still prefer DDs over any other pizza buffet..and since this location is the closest to me, we have a relationship of convenience. The salad bar is also not very extensive or fresh, which is a big deal if you are waiting for ten, eleven, twelve,thirteen...minutes for there to be any pizza on the buffet table. First of all we walk in and there was only one employee thus far, we go to this place because the pictures online made it seem like it was really good and they many different pizzas, but on the "buffet" there was only 3 pizzas, a pepperoni which only had 2 slices left, a cheese one which just had 3 slices left, and a sausage one that was almost all there cause aint nobody eating that, the pizzas were cold, and after we took some pizzas we didn't eat them cause they were cold and we waited for them to put fresh pizza out, and they never did, overall this place absolutely sucked, it was a waste of money, we left super quick, i dont recommended it to anyone, but good luck if you decide to try it. read more

We have been to this particular Double Dave's several times. We usually like to go during their buffet hours. The buffet doesn't have as huge a variety as CiCi's but the pizza they do have is delicious. They usually have the stromboli style as well as regular pizza. Their dessert pizza's are my favorite. Along with Pizza there is a salad bar, it's not huge but has the essentials. They only downside is the price, which I think is on the high side. The games are fun for the kids too! read more
