First time I took a repair there? Repaired within an hour and was relatively inexpensive. The next time I needed a repair, they were my first and obvious choice. That same repair has been in the shop for almost a month and I've been by to check on it once only to hear that, " the technician is off-sight and I will have him call you." I've not received that call. The lone employee that works there was rather put off that I was even there. It's a shame. This business had the potential to dominate. DONE. read more

I can't encourage you strongly enough to take your business to any other repair store besides this one! About two years ago, my son's iPod had a broken screen, so I brought it to Double T, and they had it repaired the next day. I was pleased with the service, so when it broke again earlier this year, I took it back there. Big mistake. I dropped it off in early May. I called about it every few days, because we were moving to another town in June. Same answer every time, "I don't know the status of repairs. My technician works offsite. I'll have him call you." I never heard from a technician. When I asked the man on the phone if it seemed like a poor way to do business for the person in contact with the public to have absolutely no idea what was happening in his own store, he got defensive and angry. This went on for over three months. THREE MONTHS to fix an iPod screen. Finally, at the beginning of August, I told him that if I didn't get it back, I was going to contact the police and the BBB. That finally got the technician to call me back, but he told me that he had no idea where the iPod was. They offered to send us a different, refurbished iPod in its place, which we agreed to. It arrived last week. The one we left with them in May was 16 GB. The one they mailed to us is 8 GB. These guys are incompetent liars and crooks. Do not take your devices to them. read more

This place has gotten worse over the years. It also has an interesting vibe, as there's always just one guy working, who calls an off-site person to check on status of products and repairs. The last time we took a phone in for an assessment (for a water damaged iphone 5), we left it for 7 days and heard nothing from them until we went back in and asked for progress. The phone hadn't been touched and was buried under a pile of other phones. We'll probably use another repair company in the future. read more

Having had a pretty crummy week, I was sitting in the Cardiac ICU waiting room, looking at my dear friend, helpless to ease her worry and pain regarding her mom. The day she got the call about her mothers ailment, she dropped her iPhone 6 and shattered the screen. A small simple issue I could help with. Matt with Double T came to the hospital waiting room and replaced the screen In about 10 minutes and installed a tempered glass protector. The price was cheaper then anyone else I had contacted and the service was great. I was extremely happy with the promptness and service. Thank you Double T!! 1. Don't call when product is finished or delayed 2. Seem not to have any supplies in stock (have to wait for everything to be shipped in) 3. Don't even test their work before giving it back Took my broken iPad here because they guaranteed it would be ready in 24 hours. Called the next day after not hearing from them and was told the two screens they had tried were "faulty" and I would have to wait about 2 days for a new screen to come in. After 2 days I still didn't hear from them so I called and the guy I talked to had no idea if my iPad was ready or not. Finally had to go in person to see if it was ready and turns out it was, they just were too lazy to call. I ended up taking my iPad back because there were wifi problems that weren't there before and was told it would be ready the next business day. Of course, they didn't call again and 5 days later I find out it still wasn't fixed because the wifi antenna was torn and they had to order it. read more

So it's been a while since I posted on yelp because my phone broke and when I used a backup phone of a friends I didn't download any apps or feel like going through the trouble of figuring out a way to log back in to this website to gripe about business's. I went to double T repair as a freshman in college 4 years ago and received excellent cervix(back then we played volleyball and instead of yelling "service!" When somebody would serve everyone yelled "cervix!!!") so naturally that's what came to mind when remembering that time period. Anyway my gf has fixed phones their numerous times and always been happy about the speed and quality of the screens/digitizers, whatever she needed to get her phone running again they always did an excellent job. I was extremely excited and gleeful when I went in yesterday to get this iPhone 7 screen/digitizer replaced and recognized the same man. The same man who fixed it 4 years ago with microscopic grace has been fixing these incredibly intricate and tiny devices for 6 years now and it shows. I brought it in at 5:00 pm and he said it would be ready at 5:45. I told him okay I'll go across the street to look at the exotic pets at the exotic pet store while he works. I look at their beautiful animals; fennec foxes and prairie dogs to name the ones I took interest in and came back at 5:30 to a brand new phone. I want to mention the fact that they let me use their phone during a time when I had no phone and that is extremely important when one finds them self in this situation. I'll leave you with this; when I was leaving he said call us if you have any issues(because the phone in the time it was cracked the digitizer had pressed the passcode so many times it was disabled for an hour I wasn't able to unlock it and test it there). Well en lieu of a phone call I want Double T Repair and everyone who needs a phone fixed promptly and professionally to know that I am typing this on my fixed phone and couldn't possibly be more impressed with this place of business. read more

A few years ago, I came here and asked how much it would cost to push the screen of my iPhone 5 back into place. Instead of giving me a quote, the person at the register took my phone, went to the back and charged me $27. What if I didn't have the money for this repair? I came here looking for a quote and he didn't give one to me upfront. That's not even my last experience with the store. I got my boyfriend's screen for his iPhone 6 repaired here for $130. Since getting repaired here, his phone has been having various problems from his GPS signal not working from time to time to his screen brightness randomly changing. We took it back to the store the day after getting it repaired and they pretended to fix the problem. They told us they had "reset the GPS," but his GPS was still being problematic after the fact. Yesterday, the backlight to his phone went out. He took it back to Double T Repair, they looked at it and told him there was nothing they could do about it. Poor customer service. Take your phones to get fixed anywhere else but here. read more

Took my phone in to get a replacement led screen. Guy did it in ten minutes and cost $160. Two weeks later the color on the screen isn't even but it's not too bothersome so I carry on. Month and a half later the screen suddenly goes to like looking through a milky pane of glass to see anything. They have clearly replaced my led with a cheapo replacement. I call the guy and he wants me to come in, so he can see it. Tells me no problem it's a warranty. Oh wait...you're 13 days out of warranty it ll be full price instead. I ask if an exception can be made, I have referred people here after my initial visit, it's clearly the cheapo part. I get "no, okay, maybe. ". Thanks local business owner. I only see people break phones about once a week so I'll refer them else. Update: four days after this initial review I received a call from the owner regarding this review. I appreciated this call and the owner's responsiveness to his business. I was told that they would actually do warranties up to six months and that employee must have turned me away because of another problem with the screen. I told him the employee had never even looked at it while I was there. He said that if I came in and he could look at it we could work something out. I had already replaced my screen and he offered that if he could do a warranty on the screen we could possibly workout something out. I took the screen in for him to see and upon inspection he declared that since there were minor scratches, the scratches were minuscule this phone has a case and It has only been installed 53 days, there would be no warranty They wouldn't accept it. They? I then realized this warranty wasn't through them but whoever their supplier is does a warranty. So basically if he can't get the warranty for hisself, you aren't getting the warranty for his services. I didn't go to them, I came to Double T for services. I commend the owner for standing by his business, however I believe he should also stand by his work and everything that entails. read more

We took our phone in two years ago just for a cracked screen. We checked back with them every week for all of September and November and we got nothing but excuses e.x. "We haven't been able to get to it", "We are just waiting on the parts". Finally they told us that it was fixed and supposedly they were going to personally deliver it to our house because one of the employees mothers lived near our neighborhood. When nothing happened we went back to the shop to find out what was up and we were told that the phone was completely ruined and that they were going to special order a replacement for us. By February of last year we still hadn't heard anything from them so we went in to get a status update. We were told that they hadn't gotten around to ordering it yet AND they gave us another customers phone to use until ours got in. It has been over a year and we have neither heard from them or ever gone back. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I work in the service industry and this establishment has really agitated me. I took me phone in due to a cracked screen. They fixed it for say $220, no big. A few weeks later the screen started to unseal and the day that I planned to take it up there and completely became unhinged. The guy working said he would ask the owner what they could do for me and said he would contact me asap. I called back two days later since I still hadn't heard anything from them and the same guy seemed thoroughly annoyed that I had called him before they called me. Basically, these people completely blew me off and after I decided to call for the second time and expressed that no one had even attempted to contact me, he pushed the blame on the owner that they were supposed to call me. All in all, I was extremely disappointed in the customer service of the business. I support local businesses, and it was more than evident that I was being blown off because they were going to have to give me a discounted rate for not fixing my phone correctly in the first place.
