Overall a surprisingly nice stay. The staff were hard working and kind, the property (though dated) was neat and orderly, the breakfast sufficient, and the water park (aside from the slippery floors) was fun! We spent $255 to spend the night at the Loft Hotel, continental breakfast for four, and TWO days of water park access. The lodging felt very "old school" motel where you walk around outside, open the door with your key and it opens up to a room filled with two standard beds, a dresser with a TV standing on top, a sink and mirror, and through the door a bath/ shower combo with the toilet. Our room was unique in that it had a door connecting to another room. We locked it. The people that occupied it, we could hear them talk, cough, sneeze, fart, and anything else people do. Maybe next time we might spring for the thourghbred suites for the extra $20. Much more space and privacy. We let our penny pinching personalities betray us with that decision. The lofts sit on a high hill with many stairs to negotiate. There is ONE handicap spot, but some steps and slippery areas still need be negotiated. Please be aware of that. Also, be aware that check-in takes forever. It took at least 20 minutes and only two people were ahead of us. Sign waivers ahead of time to speed up this already painfully slow process. The water park was overall fun. Again, the staff were friendly and helpful. The biggest complaint were the new floors. Though pretty, they were extremely slippery when wet and both my children fell, scraped their skin, and bumped their heads. I witnessed this also happen to an adult and another child while we were playing with the kids. One of my kids had to be patched up by the staff because he was bleeding. They were apologetic, they had caution when wet signs, and a few people were dedicated to squeegeeing up access water to avoid a more dangerous kind of spill. If you come, make sure to walk slowly. I'm not kidding. Also, bring your own towels or be prepared to purchase them once you're there. Aside from the floor problem, the space was impressive. They had about 5 water slides up and running. Most took a single or double tube, but one fit our whole 4 person family. That was fun. They also have a splash pad for little kids, a fun lazy River loop, a sports section with volleyball, basketball and leap frog onto the pads with a rope. My favorite part was the indoor/ outdoor hot tub. Pretty crowded Friday night, but open. Saturday they had to close it after a child threw up in it. I'm happy we chose to go Friday night rather than Saturday, because it was uncomfortably crowded on Saturday. I guess everyone in the area had the same idea as us. We decided not to pay extra for the tubing hill, even though we woke up to fresh powder. The kids were sick of the cold. We sprung to pay extra and play some black light mini golf. The course was surprisingly fun and well laid out with interesting holes that wind behind and look out from above at the water park. We even got to see some people screaming down a slide. It was really cool. My favorite hole was the one that reminded me of the game plink-o. It was worth the money. Breakfast was in an impressive room at the saloon restaurant. Again, some of the staff were amazing, especially the cook who constantly was restocking the serve yourself hot breakfast items. You have a choice of someone serving you orange juice or water and they come around with coffee. The breakfast had an assortment of meats, French toast, cereals, yogurt, and bagel/ muffins. Everything was sufficient. After we checked out and had our fill at the water park. We packed up the car and drove to the back forty acres of this property. What a neat spot! Full of cabins, a western looking set up filled with shops, outdoor water slides, an area where you can horseback ride and an outdoor park to name a few things. That could be a fun summer place to discover. Overall, a few hiccups, but happy we discovered and enjoyed our stay at Double JJ Resort. I feel like it needs at least one more visit to experience everything it has to offer. read more

You have to pay $29 just to sit and watch your kids swim. Huge rip off for those that dont or cant swim. Bathrooms are gross. No toilet paper, soap, or paper to dry hands. I saw what looked like a cockroach in the bathroom scurey through one of the stalls. Staff are rude and there are flies everywhere. Its gone way down hill since we were here last. Water slides were cleeaan. there was only about six seven big slides, but the toilet bowl one was absolutely going down the big slide with the double push (those who know know) was awesome.They had a wave pool and many spots to play basketball and volleyball there was also w obstacle courses. As soon as we entered our room, we noticed the toilet was clogged, and had to wait almost 45 minutes for someone to come. The phone was filthy. Towels and bedding felt like sandpaper. NO LIGHTS in the parking lots (very scary) and stairs were broken in multiple spots. The only good thing I can say is that my kids enjoyed the water park. After reporting this they Removed dead mouse and didn't mention getting live one or ones out and offered that room or another one in same dirty building. was treated terribly as I asked to be put in a different building. After 1.5 hrs of waiting rude registration manager who acted like a bouncer at a bar type guy offered us a room at Thoroughbred suites for $ 190 more a night then we paid. I asked for a discount he refused and said he was going to call police to escort us out as I said I was going to report this to Yelp . He proceeded to cancel our reservation and left us many hours away from home. I was meeting 13 of my relatives there as I hadn't seen them in 3 years, they were from Hawaii Illinois Indiana Bloomfield Hills and Dexter . It was a terrible experience. I was with my daughter and 2 grandchildren. I wrote this same info on their Facebook business chat message page and so far no response. I was not loud or hostile and if they have a camera they could see I was not that way. read more

Protect your babies - DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is a health & safety hazard. We spent over $700 on a 2-night stay for a condo that was supposed to sleep 10. The entire condo was FULL OF MOLD. Literally everywhere. My kids feet were filthy after 5 minutes - it wasn't vacuumed or swept. For a condo sleeping 10, we had 3 chairs, 2 forks & 3 spoons. Trash cans around the property were overflowing. We complained 3 times, pleading that the manager come out to speak with us but he refused to leave his office & forced his staff to handle it. Staff said he could "try to find" us some kitchen utensils & silverware but chairs were a "common problem" because they don't have enough. They finally "upgraded" us to a new suite & what do we find? MOLD. The shower leaked & mold was literally eating the cabinets. None of the doors closed, screws were popping out of the door handles. The bathroom door wouldn't close because the floor was too damaged from the shower leaking that the tiles popped up so privacy was non-existent. Had one of our elementary children snuck off, they could've fallen off the deck! The dishes were filthy upon arrival in both rooms. Staff refused discounts or passes or refunds. -1mil/10.. absolutely do not recommend. read more

Dinner on a Saturday in September was fairly quiet. Server was attentive and efficient. Food was fine.

We stayed at the campground which was nice but, there is no enforcement of "quiet time". Loud generators running right next to us all night and even after we complained 3 times nothing was done about it. The staff was nice, especially the activities director was very engaged with the kids. Bathrooms were clean but the outdoor pool was dirty and had a lot of debris around it on the cement. If they would sweep it off they would avoid all the debris from getting into the pool and kids stepping on sticks, leaves and pebbles while barefoot. No food or snacks allowed in the pool area and no goggles with nose coverings for the kids is a little ridiculous. Lifeguards were over the top conscientious, which I'm not complaining about. One of the worst experiences we've ever had. We booked well over a month in advance for a large group, only to be told shortly after arriving that we might be removed from the property. Despite having several conversations with staff about bringing dogs before booking and while checking into our room, we were suddenly told it wasn't allowed and hit with an unexpected $200 fine per cabin due to what they claimed was a "miscommunication." We spent over $13,000 on this trip, yet ended up being forced to leave a day early after not being there for 24 hours! Room was also not completely clean when we arrived. The staff made false claims to justify their actions and were shockingly rude throughout the process. If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. While staff was kicking us out they sat around a picnic table, smoking cigarettes and recording, watching us as we packed up the cars. In response to the Owner reply: When booking for our group we never stated we were a "family reunion". If large university groups are not welcome your staff member should have clarified that during the booking process. Unacceptable to let us book if staff knew we weren't allowed. We documented everything proving there was no damages and our group was not involved with letting any animals out 1.5 miles away from where we were. We asked multiple times for proof of this but they refused to show us and the police any. We also talked to guests staying near us and told them to let us know if we were disturbing them and they said we were not. They were also not relocated despite you saying they were. One of your employees even came by and joined us at the fire when the so called donkeys were let out. There was no underage drinking and no action to prove anyone was 21+. Accusations after accusations. This resort stated they refuse to respond to our lawyers. read more

Me and my family came here for a good time. My kids pull out had no sheets or blankets. The fridge and stove hardly worked. I brought my kids here for a good time and one thing went wrong after the next and we were offered no help or any resolutions. I feel they could've handled everything more adequately. DO NOT COME HERE. This place is an actual joke run by children who never had friends and purposefully ruin other people's time. From the moment me and my friends arrived we were treated with the utmost disrespect, being blamed for their management placing our cabins nearby a Girl Scout group. Their hostility continued as they told us our dogs would have to sleep outside or leave, even after we called multiple times to confirm the cabins we booked were pet friendly. No problem, we had someone come get the dogs as to not cause an issue. Even so, we were polite, told them we would not cause any issues, and even made friends with a family next door, telling them to let us know if our music was too loud and offering their children smores. These people have no decency, screaming in my friends and i's faces and telling us to drive home (after we had already been legally drinking), making racist comments to one of my friends, and forcing us to leave with absolutely so cause. Their only claim was that we released one of their donkeys, a crime they refused to show any evidence for or reasoning to believe it was us. They even called one of their employees, who had previously been talking with our group and being nice, "bottom of the totem pole" and he didn't care about her opinion. Miserable people. Even the cop they called told us they were being ridiculous but that he legally can't force them to let us stay. Apart from this, the cabins were absolutely disgusting, with rust covering all drains and water spouts. Multiple element and pieces of furniture were broken, which we took photos of upon arrival as they will most likely try to blame us for their insufficient facilities. This place is managed by egotistic idiots who stole over 13k from us. They will be hearing from our attorneys. read more

I got MRSA from this damn place. If you get a chance to look, you can see that below the water, the walls against the pool seem clean. Although if you look to where the top of the water is, there is a concerning amount of visible dirt and grime build up against the wall. It gives that it hasn't been seriously scrubbed in years. Not months, years. I most definitely wouldn't advise that you bring your children here, as their hot tub is in worse condition hygienically than the pools. it's a serious bacterial party swimming with y'all. There's an understandable risk when you visit indoor water resorts, but it's obvious that the cleaning team isn't up to date or simply isn't being paid enough to do their job correctly. Fun slides, not a bad place, but I personally wouldn't put a child a risk for MRSA for 30 seconds down a plastic tube. read more

Came to golf, the grounds aren't too bad. Could definitely use some up keep. The one star,because it doesn't let you not choose a rating. But the service is a whole other story. For what you pay for, definitely not worth the it. Best part of our day, they didn't have gloves to serve us hotdogs. We had to put our hands in the bag of hotdog buns because they didn't have any gloves!! I was mind blown. I wonder how many other people hands were in that bag of buns. Disgusting. Before this experience, we were planning on taking the kids to the water park, after that I'm afraid of what bacteria/s are floating around their pools we most definitely will not be returning. read more

My wife and I just spent another amazing weekend at Double JJ and couldn't have had a better time, so much to do! I would highly recommend the Calamity Jane unit, specifically Thoroughbred Suite #114/112 to anyone. clean, well equipped, plenty of space and close to everything. and a nice bonus, there's a full kitchen and a jacuzzi in the master bedroom! We always get great service, this time, we had awesome experiences with Christina, Amy, April & Miss Joy in the arcade. really, everyone we encountered were awesome! You can really see how passionate they all are to help us create a fun experience. I am a business owner myself and trust me, Double JJ Resort is lucky to have this team! Kudos to ownership and management too! It's great to see all of the improvements and upgrades they are doing, the new signs and the new wood floor at the Sundance Grill look fantastic! and don't get me started on that Cajun Chicken Tortellini, OMG!! Review of yelp... there should be a negative star review option! I wouldn't give them any stars but I hard to. We arrived on Christmas at 4:30 p.m. the emailed confirmation said to go to an address. The address though was where the cabins are in the back 40 not where you check in. That was confusing. We finally got to the check in place and quickly found out that others were waiting to check in too. It took forever, because the girl was dealing with an "emergancy" of some kind. We like i said above arrived on Christmas day so December and there was snow on the ground. We got to the Log home that we rented and there was nowhere near our home to park. We had to park quite a ways from our log home. We then had to trudge through snow up above our ankles into the log home. We got one of the bigger ones, 2 bedrooms down stairs and a loft with 4 beds upstairs. It was very cute and we were ready to enjoy the evening. I began making dinner after unpacking things and quickly noticed there weren't many dishes for cooking in. We made due and had our supper. I opened the dishwasher to put our dishes in and realized... thats where the dishes were. Still dirty from the people before and now covered in mold. There were no dishwasher tabs and no dish soap. There was also sticky stuff all over the kitchen floor. I put my kids in the jacuzzi bath tub and the pungent smell of sulfer about gagged me. Before I could stop him, my youngest son hit the button for the jets on the tub and it spit out a black gooey stuff that covered my kids and the tub. It was sooooooo disgusting. After getting them cleaned up and occupied I called the front desk. The girl on the phone, Amanda Hawkins was very apologetic, she said someone would be down with a mop and dish soap shortly. And said maintenence would look at the tub. In the mean time while waiting for the soap (for me to so someone else's dishes) my son tripped and fell by thr fireplace. There were 2 tiles missing they were broken into pieces and just sitting in the end table. He bumped his forehead and got a pretty good gash. We cleaned him up and I finally made my first trip up to the loft to put him to sleep. In doing so, I noticed crayon on the walls going up the stairs. I called the front desk again since it had been 2 hours and still no soap or maintenence person. Again Amanda apologized this time she said she would upgrade us to the thoroughbred suites at no additional charge if we would like to move. I said fine so we packed up and went down to the office. On the drive over there I quickly looked at the website and the nightly fee for the room she was putting us in was $289 and the nightly for the log home we had was $389 so actually we were downgrading by $100. I pointed this out to Amanda when I went in to get new keys. She apologized but said she couldn't do anything with price that she would leave a note for nick. Whoever nick is?? My son's head was of concern to her. I told he he was okay and she did seem genuinely concerned. We get to the suite and it sure was a down grade, there were even less dishes to cook with, no garbage bags, pot holders, paper towel, dish soap, coffee filters ... basically it was empty and far less space than the log home. But it was late and I needed to go to bed. I got up thr next morning and went o the check in desk... they had no idea what had happened or why I was complaining. The lady behind the desk called nick. He told her to give me the difference back ($100) for the price difference in rooms. But said she couldn't compensate me for my trouble, for my son getting hurt or anything like that. I DIDNT SEE ANY STAFF WEARING A MASK PROPERLY! They also weren't enforcing customers to mask at all. Some staff had masks on but dangling from and ear or under their chin. In fact when we went to the tubing hill, there was an entire building full of people without a mask! I of course wore mine but was very uncomfortable. I bought the wrist bands for the tubing hill ($50 worth) then was told my kids would have to come in to have her put the band on them. I explained that I wasn't comfortable with them being around unmasked people inside she said well... I guess you don't tube then. My husband brought the boys in and got their wrist bands. The tubing hill was nice. We particularly liked the tow back to the top. Thats about where the compliments stop though. The girl was shouting out to everyone please keep your cup so you can get refills for hot chocolate. (Out of an ingloo cooler thing) and there were 4 people just sitting inside there playing euchre un masked right by the cooler. There were just so many not covid safe things that even after paying our $50 we just left. It made us too uncomfortable. My son is signed up for a trail ride tomorrow (they pushed it back from Saturday to Sunday). We got it for him for Christmas, it is the one thing he had asked for. If it wasn't for that, we would have left night 1! read more

My husband and I went there for a quiet, low key and romantic Christmas getaway. Although we live only an hour away, we gave ourselves this as a sort of Christmas present. We booked a suite in the Thoroughbred Suites, a breakfast buffet Christmas morning and Christmas day at the water park, each with their own charges. They forgot to add the waterpark, so they gave us a couple free passes. We got there super early. Check in is at 4pm, but we hoped we might be able to check in a bit early. We were told housekeeping hadn't cleaned that room yet, but check back at 2pm. In the meantime, we played the indoor mini golf course (another fee), and although the course is dated, it was fun. Then we went to a nearby town and had lunch. We got back around 2:30, but again, housekeeping still hadn't gotten to the room, and try back around 3, which we did, and were told, it wouldn't be until 4pm. I mean, they could have asked housekeeping to get to that room, since we were already there, but it was our fault getting there that early. We got in line to check in at 4pm. In front of us, was a family of 15 checking in. There was only one person working the desk, and the family was coordinating rooms and cash. This whole thing took around 35 minutes. Nobody else was coming to help the front desk, as we were told later that she was the only one scheduled to work. They did compensate us by taking 10% off our bill for the inconvenience. We were told that our room was STILL not done, but they would put us in a different suite. Same layout in a different area of the building. We were fine with that...however....what we didn't know, is that they put us right under this HUGE family. The noise the people above us made was incredible. The sounds of moving furniture, and literal banging on the floor...in rapid succession....was constant and so loud that many times you could actually feel it in our room. It went on for hours. We called the front desk many times, asking to be moved, but was told that the hotel was booked solid. This was odd, because our floor was dead silent. I mean, no matter what time we walked down the corridor, there were no sounds of tvs, people, or anything. The entire time we stayed there, there was nobody walking outside our door, down the hall, or doors opening or closing. We even had one of the staff come up to our room to hear what we were dealing with. Unfortunately, what we didn't realize at the time, she got to our room just as this family was leaving for dinner. There was a small amount of noise as they were leaving, so she reported to her manager that she didn't hear the commotion we were dealing with. The family was quiet for about a blissful hour, and then the marching, pounding, yelling and hammering sounds were back. We called the front desk one last time, and was told that quiet time was 11 and there was nothing they could do until then, but they would compensate us for our trouble (which they did not). So, the pros and cons below: PROS: Beautiful and very clean room with a full kitchen, cooking utensils, dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, garbage disposal, full size fridge, dining area. Two electric fireplaces, for decor only, they do not put out heat. Private balcony. Jetted bathtub in room. Large shower with great water pressure. Friendly, although ineffective staff. Tons of parking, outside, and they also provide indoor, secure (you need a key card to open the door) parking garages. Many things to do at the resort, all with extra fees. The steakhouse is connected to the suites by a skybridge. The restaurant has friendly staff and excellent food. Lots of lifeguards in the water park. CONS: The wait to check in was ridiculous and they should have had more people on staff. ALL activities at the resort have extra fees. I mean for the price you are paying for a room, they could include in an activity or two. Some of the pans in the suite kitchen look as though they had been put away dirty. We were going to use a pan for dinner, and had to scrub it out with a dishwasher tab. (they include 2 dishwasher soap tabs, but no dishwashing liquid soap, or scrubbers.) They should have a bit more in terms of cooking and eating utensils and pot and pans. The central air and heating in the room was super loud. We couldn't use the jets in the tub because of the sound. On low, there was barely any water coming out, and it sounded like a jet plane landing. On high there was great pressure, but it was so loud that having a conversation with impossible. There are no blackout curtains in the room, so the parking lot lights keep your room a little lit up at night. Would we stay again? Probably not. Noisy people come and go, but a hotel should have accommodations for unhappy guests. We've traveled to many other countries, and stayed in a LOT of hotels. You expect this kind of thing at a cheap motel, not a resort like this. read more

I do not recommend this place to anyone On August 18th we drove 2 hours there for my son's birthday. When we got there the room wasn't ready. Which is perfectly fine with us. They let my son and his friend play mini-golf. After they were finished mini golfing, the room was still not ready. Thankfully my son's friend's mom was there. We were able to get dressed and ready there for the water park. We were down there for maybe 30 minutes. We were starting to get hungry and wanted to get into our room. It was about 6:00. The front desk forgot to call us letting us know our room is ready. Here's where the fun starts We go into our room and immediately check for bed bugs. We always check to make sure we don't bring critters back home. The room we got was the resort. There were bed bug droppings all over the mattress. We went down and brought it to the front desk's attention. My husband offered to take them to the room and show them. They declined. They were trying to offer us terrible options. 1. Was a cabin with no wifi tv or air. 2. A bed and a sofa for 4 people. So I nicely declined those options. I asked if we can swim and go home or stay at another hotel. The GM and housekeeper told us that they will refund our money and we can leave. We didn't do anything wrong. And we drove 2 hours to get there. They were screaming at us to get out. My son was downstairs in the waterpark with his friend and my husband, and I wanted to communicate with her son and let him know what was going on. These ladies followed us. down the stairs screaming at us to get out. Would not give a chance to leave. When we finally left the building. The lovely housekeeper followed us outside to continue to yell and scream at us. At one point I thought she was going to get physical with us. I will never ever recommend this dirty place to anyone. The staff was terrible! I'm surprised i got my money back today. Still 0/5 stars for me. read more

We just got back from our first visit to Double JJ Resort. Don't be taken back by the outdated outside of the resort. Inside was amazing! We LOVED IT! We got the 2 story condo. So clean, everyone was SO friendly! This is a great weekend get away. The restaurant onsite had delicious food! The indoor water park was great with multiple slides, just remember to bring your own towels! Outdoor was a basic old school pool with a waterslide that goes through a barn. Super cool for the kids. We enjoyed the arcade, ice cream and little gift shop. Would def recommend! We will be back! read more

This place will forever hold a wonderful memory in my family's heart. From the nature adventures to the fun days at the water park there is always something to do The rental with gas and electric was $45 a day. The water hook up isn't the best. The showers and bathrooms are very rustic to match the old west theme. The downtown is filled with old style west buildings and even the cabins are in stage coaches. There is a pool for free with one steep tunnel ride, which was awesome. There is an outdoor hot tub and kids area where the cactus sprinkling water The best part is the indoor water park. They cold drinks are cheap and it is well worth the $20. I am heading to try the food now. There is food on resort. So far we have sinned in the town of Whitehall and surrounding rothbury. The places we visited are good a little pricey but Worth it. read more

I was called the day before our arrival and told the water park isn't open on the day we arrive, even though I was given prices and told the park opened on the Thursday before we arrive. We had to add a day to our trip, change our reservation to two rooms instead of one, with a cost of almost 600.00 more! Then I was told my son was "difficult to deal with" Hmmm desk manager, let me tell you the day before you leave for a water park trip that the water park isn't open.....how would you feel??? I was told the suite was attached to the water park , ya, except for the half a block you have to walk outside, in the cold to and from the water park! It took 7 1/2 hours and 3 phone calls to the desk to get a roll of toiled paper! our family goes to a different water park every winter, DO NOT go to Double JJ, there are so many excellent water parks in Michigan. read more

It seems that no professionals are working here. Nothing seems to be managed with any kind of consistency. Don't get me wrong; everyone we encountered was perfectly nice and polite. However, it was very obvious that most areas were understaffed. One bartender where there should have been three, that kind of thing. Everything is falling apart and dirty. I could write paragraphs about all the things we encountered that were filthy or broken and obviously been that way for a long time. The bartender came to take our order, a foot from our faces and not wearing a mask. WTF?? The owners of this place should be ashamed of themselves. Disgusting. Will never return and will be SURE to let everyone I know that this place isn't safe for its patrons. Two of the friends who planned the trip and have been coming with their families since childhood were also alarmed and disgusted and have vowed to never come back as well. I'd give it a 3/5. We just got back from the cabin we rented for NYE (and a few days before) Pros: -we had a 2 person hot tub. That was fun but the seating was a bit oddly shaped. -we worried about the outside noise with teens next door but we heard nothing when we got inside. -nice cabin with just what we needed for the weekend... mostly. but someone needs to seriously rethink the lighting. We ended up buying headlamps just to see around the cabin and we had every single light on. It was like the darkness level of the most romantic restaurant except we couldn't even see if the food we ate was cooked it was that dark. Cons: -the worst is not really their fault we don't think (not used in the 3/5) but the fire detector had a low battery we found out that started at like 2 am. The problem? It's in a cabin about 12 feet above the stairs. No way to remove it. -we ended up having to go to the store for disposable pans as there were none around. Apparently they were in the dish washer and we didn't know until we left. They require you do this when you leave but apparently they leave them there. At home it is obvious to check there but not at a cabin. -WHERE DO WE GO?!? When we arrived, the GPS got us there and we followed the signs to the cabins. But one way said "1-40" and the other arrow was for "41-60". Except we were number 206. We eventually found it after driving around. Think again if it was another sign that showed us. And the cabins were far from the road. We had to get out to see the numbers. It took about 30 minutes which isn't fun near dusk. read more

Do not stay here! One problem after another. We stayed in a 10 person suite. The kitchen was not stocked well. The water park had two unusable slides. And not enough tubes for people. Several people were waiting at the bottom of the slides for someone to get done using a tube. Miscommunication from employees - teens and very young adults - nobody knew the answers to my questions. I get it. Be patient. Nobody wants to work right now. Golf course wasn't available to schedule tee times. Online or through phone calls. When in person; they wouldn't let anyone on the course because they didn't want anyone else to leave a bad review. Room was ok. It didn't have locks on the bathroom doors (we had 2 bathrooms). The coffee pot didn't work, there was not enough towels and no toilet paper. (We couldn't get any till the next morning. After arrival we wanted to extend our stay, The front desk manager assured us that we would be able to add another night just not in the same room. (Our room was already booked) Unfortunately, the room was given away and the lady at the front desk only offered to split our group into two separate rooms and charge us $900 for one night. read more

And unfortunately I feel that 1 star is somewhat generous. We've been tempted by this place for a while, mainly based on the proximity to some family. Finally decided to try it out for a long weekend in July. First, the check in: what an inconvenience for me to want to check in to this hotel. Sorry front desk lady. Next, the room: We stayed in the Thoroughbred suites with the kids. Who puts a stall shower in a room with bunk beds?!?! Obviously people who book these types of rooms are bringing kids, who need bathtubs... Said bunk beds are also made of plywood, much like the 4 small flat pillows available in our room. Also, they were kind enough to leave us a pile of gummy bears from the previous occupants. And, the service: despite a 9am call for more pillows, they never showed up. And when we got back late the 2nd night, we hadn't had any housekeeping service either. 2 follow up calls to the front desk have yet to yield the clean towels or extra pillows we requested, and the front desk person made it seem like my fault for being so needy as to ask for these things. Finally, a tip for swimmers - the free outdoor pool is open from 12pm to 8pm. In July. Good luck telling your kids that they need to wait until noon to swim. Probably not coming back... read more

By no means is this place a resort... the website advertises their family accommodations at the Loft that look like this and what we arrived to was this. See photos. At 258.00 a night this place is a complete rip off. They should be ashamed to even have that on their website. The manager asked us what was wrong with the room??? Are you kidding me?? I'd like to survive the night first off. After a 2 hour check in because we asked to see about another room we were put into a small lockout attached to a suite. Also we were told "that if we wanted to stay some where nice we wouldn't of stayed there... " by the manager!! I can't even get a refund because the have no staffing and only the manager is the one to speak too. Horrible experience! read more

Called and asked for a 3 bedroom suite quote. When they said 451 I went thru the roof with excitement and booked it. This is the first vacation ever spent as an adult. Called back a few days later wanting to know if there was a way we could find out if there were bunk beds in our three bedroom suite only to find out they put us in a two bedroom suite. 4 adults 2 teenagers and a child for another 440 we can add another room and did it to save the surprise vacation with my kids and family. This was going to be our new yearly thing to do. Now it's ruined. I'm broke and no one called back to try to fix it or make it right as guest services promised. So do not believe that you are getting what you asked for. read more

Please. Please. Stay away. Cabins are bad. Comforters don't get washed, and neither do the thinner blankets, trust me please, I know!! The good reviews are mainly from people who weren't in rooms long, or weren't actually staying there and only went to the water park or to restaurant, and even those are hit and miss and going downhill. Please. Especially if you have kids, don't stay here with them!! read more

My experience was really good overall I would recommend this place I had my son second birthday party here and it was a good time the room had a lot of room the waterpark could be bigger but was still fun for my two year old I got a deal on the room they had a gift card deal going on so I paid a decent amount ! read more

Needed a last minute Valentine's Day weekend idea so we decided to try the Double JJ water park to best the cold. Fairly inexpensive (sign your waiver online for a faster process) and got a little locker $20 deposit that you get back at the end. The actual water park staff was great, the front desk girl was very nice and a special shout out to #doubleboost Dominic up at the top of the slide tower for making our vacation a little extra special! The resort staff in the food court area gave us sub par service at best. Say at the bar by the pizza shop for several minutes before walking away after not being greeted. All in all, definitely try out this water park for a little weekend getaway! read more

I saw $20 dollar special on their website. I called their front desk because I wanted to confirm that the special was in fact correct. I told the lady that I would be driving an hour an half to them later that day and I was told that they were having some staffing issues with lifeguards so I wanted to confirm both the discount and that they were going to be open . I had the employee double check, was put on hold, came back and confirmed $20. However when we got there it was not the case. I was told that starts next week. The manager couldn't even come up to talk with me. I was told sorry we have new employees working and if we kept scrolling down their page there was a calender with the dates. One would clearly think an employee of said business would give me the correct answer, but that was not the case. read more

The two stars is for the ok food and the water park my kids enjoyed . The rest is just a joke . The ice leading to our room was slippery , please clean and salt your Icy stairs before someone falls , clean out your spiderweb , dead insects, blurry tv , almost falling shower curtains , old pillows, An arcade that most games are broken, etc. And you call your self a Resort , I don't think so !!!!! read more

1. When we booked the stay they told us over the phone that we could go to the water park from checkin thru the next day. But when we checked in they told us we would have to pay again the morning to swim. 2. Tvs in rooms were so fuzzy you cannot see what is on the screen. Room T304 3. Stinks of marijuana in the hallway 4. We tried to order pizza but was told we had to buy the pizza buffet. So we paid for the buffet and the pizza that was served was much different than what you get when you order a pizza. It was much thinner and under cooked. 5. The furniture in the room is very old and worn. 6. Dishwasher was full of dirty dishes 7. Every game in the arcade was broken. 8. Played golf there this last summer. Very nice challenging course. 9. Water park is sub par but the kids like it. 10. Staff is nice but seem over worked. read more
