Having engaged Whitney from overseas, and having the added logistical complication of attempting to plan and coordinate the component wedding events via email, it's insufficient to say that Whitney managed to produce what turned out to be the perfect wedding. From planning through execution, the event was executed beautifully. Communication was excellent, any "hitches" were dealt with swiftly and with zero issues. All involved parties - and there were a LOT of us - were calmly managed by Whitney and because of that, we knew our roles to a "T". I don't know what her services cost but whatever they run, I've got to believe that they're worth it. For an event of this importance in your life, you can't go wrong working with Whitney.

Knowing that this was going to be one of the most important days in our lives, we did a lot of homework and interviewed several planners. In addition to experience and strong references, the single most important factor to us was chemistry. Warm and genuinely caring, we connected with Carisa from the start and knew we didn't want to entrust our wedding to anyone else. The other factors we considered: 1) clear, reliable communication skills - including the ability to listen and really understand our vision and intention for the event; 2) strong organizational skills and follow-through; 3) established relationships with the best vendors; 4) clear design inspiration and passion; and 5) a game-day MVP who calmly directs the show behind the scenes and makes everything run smoothly. Carisa delivered on every criteria, and, in fact, exceeded our high expectations. It has now been over a year since our special day, and we still get compliments from our guests who tell us it was the best wedding they've ever been to! The whole experience was truly joyous and magical, and Carisa and the entire Adornment Events team were essential in making our dream a reality. The financial investment in hiring Carisa and her A-team to seamlessly orchestrate our big day was worth every penny, and we could not have done it without them. We cannot recommend Carisa and Adornment Events highly enough!!!

Lauren was instrumental in making our big day happen and go seamlessly. We are still so amazed, literally nothing went wrong. It was all perfect. The venue hunt was really really helpful too. We were having a lot of trouble narrowing down a venue, and they provided a huge amount of support showing us venues in our price range that met all of our criteria. We had been trying to do it ourselves for months to no success. This service alone was so so helpful! Trying to research ourselves using Google and the Knot and other wedding websites was no match compared to the wealth of knowledge and experience that YPB had to offer. The planning meetings we had with Lauren beforehand were also so super helpful and crucial. They helped us stay on track making sure we got everything done by when we needed to get it done as well as helping us not forget anything. YPB provided so many great resources for planning. And Lauren was able to answer all of my millions of questions that I had. The day of, Lauren and her assistant were amazing at their jobs. They were so calm and professional. There was a couple last-minute schedule changes we wanted to do and they totally crushed it in seamlessly making it happen. They kept us fed and hydrated and happy, gave me bandaids for where my shoes were hurting my feet and kept us all on schedule. I had so many anxieties about the big day because I've heard so many stories about things that go can wrong and I had just accepted that was something go wrong. But now I'm just convinced they just didn't have a good wedding planner!! If you're debating at all, I would say if you want to have a wedding of your dreams, then 100% higher YPB to help.

For my daughter's wedding this summer we had a last minute switch up with our coordinator's at YBP…read more I would like to compliment the owner for handling this situation very professionally and for her understanding. I also need to acknowledge the new coordinator covered a lot of details for the wedding and reception. What I struggle most with is the fact that after the reception, this new coordinator overrode the bride and the bride's mother's decision in keeping the wedding flowers. We wanted to take them home as you would expect every bride to do. We literally spent $1,000's of dollars on the flowers. The florist shared with us that this coordinator told her to just dispose of them! Throw them away! Also, the parents of the bride and groom didn't even receive their corsages or boutonnières. They were discovered in a box wilted and dead at the end of the evening. Like I mentioned, I appreciate how much this coordinator did for us, but disposing of the wedding flowers was not her place, nor did she have the authority to have the flowers disposed of. This is definitely a tough one for my daughter and family to put behind us. Hence why I gave only two stars.

We live out of state and didn't have context on the local wedding scene. Our venue also provided very little - we had to bring in generators, tents, furniture, etc. We are the type of clients that wanted to explore all options and vendors in the ecosystem. Our only regret is that we didn't trust Katy's guidance 100% of the time early on, because it turned out she was always right. She has excellent relationships with all the vendors and will get you great rates and service, while making sure the wedding is personalized, creative, and unique to the couple. We unexpectedly had to change venues for our rehearsal dinner 5 days before the event due to covid, and she managed it all with ease, securing new decor, transportation etc, always staying on top of the smallest details. Despite the crazy times, she maintained a positive attitude and kept us as calm as possible. Bridal Bliss also uses Rock Paper Coin, which makes payment tracking and vendor management easy. We simply could not have done it without Katy and Bridal Bliss. They are worth every penny and more. We would be happy to be a reference for any prospective clients.

Through the entire process she was cool, calm, and collected. Her team made sure every detail was covered, thought about, and managed. They helped create our wedding timeline and made sure all vendors were aware of timing and facilitated those relationships from start to finish. I didn't have to think about much during the last couple of weeks before the wedding and what a gift that was; to be relaxed and confident before the big day! I am so thankful we decided to have Gather Event Planning be a part of our day. I received so many compliments on how smooth everything ran, and how perfectly calm the wedding atmosphere seemed. That was all thanks to Katie and her team. I couldn't have asked for a better day. Do yourself a favor, and hire a day-of-coordinator and make sure it's Gather Event Planning!

She is super dialed into the wedding industry and was able to easily rattle off recommendations for vendors that matched our style, wants and needs. I also found her to be very thoughtful, strategic, smart, and extremely calm, not to mention super experienced. And the proof is in the pudding -- if you look at photos of her events, they are so incredibly beautiful, put-together and stylish. We were originally supposed to be married in May 2020, and having to put off our marriage several times due to the pandemic was a huge disappointment. But Katie stuck by us through two rounds of rescheduling and helped us through it ALL. She understands events and the industry so well that even though the pandemic was uncharted territory for all of us, her knowledge and gut instincts saved us many times. She was always quick to answer emails and phone calls, and there was never a loose end on her watch -- she is so organized and focused. And we could always count on her to be super honest and transparent with her advice; if spending money on something added a lot of value or made a lot of sense, she would tell us, but she would also let us know where we could easily save money. I was happy with every one of her recommendations -- vendors, decor, paper goods, everything! I will also never forget the many examples of kindness and empathy that Katie showed us, including literally HOLDING a plate of cheese and fruit for me to eat from between photos on my wedding day! Her compassion and positive energy are honestly humbling. When we were planning our event with all these masking and safety restrictions, I was worried that after all this work and all these postponements, the resulting event was going to feel like a compromise. But our day was honestly perfect and stunningly beautiful, and a lot of the credit for that goes to Katie. I am forever grateful and would heartily recommend her to anyone planning an event.
