We were so lucky to get to work with Kimberly for our August 2021 wedding at The Orchard in Hood River. We chose the month of coordinating option, and it SAVED MY LIFE AND SANITY. Being able to hand over all vendor communications the month of the wedding seriously made the biggest difference in my quality of life. Kimberly is very unique in that she has a calming demeanor--something that most coordinators I met with did not share. She was organized, stayed on top of our check lists, and always knew what to do when one of the vendors was acting up. All of my wedding party commented on how chill and cool she was. She really helped us stay on budget and got creative with decor when we decided to go the minimalist route. What made me choose Kimberly initially was that we were both vegan, and she helped me hire some other vegan vendors as well. Kimberly made my wedding day florals a dream come true! I went in with ideas but nothing concrete, gave her inspo photos and told her what i was thinking and let her do her magic. When she brought in my bouquet on the day of, I hadn't seen anything yet and it was SO perfect. I couldn't have asked for more perfect flowers. The bud vases were gorgeous and the flowers were so beautiful. I got so many compliments from all my guests telling me how beautiful the florals were, and it really pulled the entire day together perfectly. She's an amazing artist with florals and I recommend selecting her for an all your floral wants and needs! We worked with Kimberly for our Oct 2022 wedding and couldn't have been happier with her services. She helped us with month of planning and with flowers and design. The flowers were absolutely stunning and everything I had imagined and more. She did a beautiful bouquets that perfectly matched our decor. She also created an amazing smokebush-esque altar area that perfectly highlighted us, without blocking the view behind us. As for planning and day of services, she did a great job of orchestrating the whole timeline, working with the venue to manage site visits, coordinating other vendors and keeping everyone perfectly in line during the day of. We had signed a contract for a day-of wedding planner with Kimberly prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Prior to the shut-down, Kimberly was slow to respond to any questions and often left us in the lurch. When the shut-downs placed restrictions on all gatherings, we had to cancel our wedding and Kimberly kept our deposit, citing a cancelation clause in the contract. While technically true, it seemed like poor business practice. Would not recommend her services to anyone in the future. read more

*Do not recommend at ALL* I had high hopes for Kimberly given her reviews and the fact that she came with a direct referral for our wedding on 9/14/19, but unfortunately, my partner and I were left extremely disappointed. It's important to note that our wedding was in the woods about ~40 minutes from downtown Portland, just outside Sandy. We had 3 shuttles and a detailed shuttle schedule to bring everyone to the venue before the 4pm start time. (As of 10/20/19, we haven't received an apology or a refund.) We know delays happen, but our wedding began *1.5 hours late* because of Kimberly's decisions. She lied to myself and my partner to protect herself and misdirected blame at every opportunity. We asked multiple times as to why the ceremony was being pushed, and she kept promising "Just 10 more minutes!" When we pressed for details, she said there had been a traffic accident, closing major roads and delaying our drivers--*this never happened* as corroborated by drivers and guests. About 30 minutes into the delay, I received texts from friends--the shuttles never picked people up at the 3rd location only 10 minutes from the venue. I thought "No problem, we have 3 drivers. Someone can get them and we can get going." When I alerted Kimberly, she told me that she couldn't get ahold of Driver A** and that when she tried to broach the subject to Driver B, he brushed her off and ignored her request. If that sounds strange that Kimberly wouldn't push the issue, it is--because it *never happened.* I spoke with multiple guests seated by this driver (who was a family friend) at the ceremony site, and Kimberly never showed her face once. Driver C was Kimberly's husband and I didn't even bother to ask why she didn't have him make the trip. By this point, we're an hour delayed and those people still haven't been picked up, we're losing light, and guests at the ceremony are thirsty and hungry. Kimberly did nothing to improve this and my sister had to step in to take care of guests. Eventually, Driver A showed and Kimberly sent her directly to pick those guests up and the ceremony began shortly after 5:30pm. Luckily, our guests are very flexible and our other vendors were AMAZING--they picked up the slack and rolled with the punches in spite of Kimberly's issues. Speaking to them afterward, each vendor agreed she was extremely absent all night and never once tried to get the schedule back on track. When such a delay happens, you would hope a regroup of key vendors would occur to talk game plan, but sadly, it didn't and that's on Kimberly. We never made up that 1.5 hour delay: so that was 1.5 hours lost of time spent with friends and family, 1.5 hours lost on the dance floor, and 1.5 hours worth of photography we will never have. All because of Kimberly's inability to communicate and poor decision making. When we wrote her an email calling the above out, she ignored my response for 4 days before writing me back and placing blame wherever she could: Our lack of hiring a professional driver service, my want to control things, the other vendor's lack of professionalism...the list goes on. The one thing missing from that email? An apology and an offer for a refund. In fact, when I did press for a refund, she never replied. It's been over a month since we last heard from her and I had hoped the situation would have been resolved before I wrote my reviews. Sadly, I won't get that and I'm still hurt by so much she did (or didn't do)--but her inability to take responsibility hurts the most. Hopefully this review will serve as a good warning for other couples--I wouldn't recommend her if you have a wedding that requires keen attention to detail, timing, or communication among vendors. ----------- ** Turns out Driver A had been delayed directly by Kimberly: About 2 hours before the ceremony, one of the bartenders parked their red car at the venue (which had extremely limited parking). Without speaking to myself, the photographer, or caterer, she believed the car would be in the way for photos (it wasn't)--so she called upon one of our shuttle drivers to follow the bartender to the nearest grocery store and then shuttle them back to the venue. This wasted 30 minutes at minimum. So, by the time that delayed driver went back to their original pickup point 40 mins away from the venue, no guests remained. But she had no communication from Kimberly and didn't know what she was supposed to do but wait incase guests arrived. Still, this choice could have been saved if Kimberly had used Driver B or C to pick up that last group of guests--but she didn't. read more

We had Kimberly help us with day-of coordination and design for our October 2019 wedding in downtown Portland, OR and it was a great experience! When we first met her, we had most of our wedding vendors put together but were struggling with putting it all together in a design that appealed to us. After sharing some example photos and ideas, she put together a few inspiration boards that hit the nail on the head. We moved forward with the design and Kimberly helped us coordinate the rentals needed with her preferred vendors and even followed up with an onsite to see it all in person months before our wedding. Coming up to the wedding day, she asked key questions that we wouldn't have thought of with the rush of the wedding day coming and it highlighted her level of expertise. Then we had our rehearsal and Kimberly brought decor from her personal stash to show us that matched our theme and could be used on our wedding day. She brought her own bucket of black umbrellas in case we had a rain shower (which it did) and simply made us feel like we didn't have to worry the day before our wedding... On our wedding day, it was no different in terms of being worry-free. Her additional staff member on-site was very attentive and was quick to help with anything going on (like picking up a drink spill and keeping our glasses filled throughout dinner service). After the wedding, we were able to have our exit and actually exit! That was so huge for us... Kimberly ensured the space and vendors were handled afterward and even dropped off items to the hotel afterward. We were really happy about our big day and Kimberly was a big part of that. We hired Kimberly for our September wedding and all I can say is WOW -- what she did was above and beyond what I could have imagined. We also hired her for florals, which was very convenient because she had first-hand knowledge of the overall decor. Several of my wedding vendors told me "Kimberly is very good" because she's a great communicator and kept everyone in the loop in a timely manner. With Kimberly, you will feel like you are a priority, even if she's juggling multiple weddings. I didn't get that sense from other wedding coordinators I spoke to when trying to decide who to hire. When I first spoke to Kimberly, she was on vacation but took an hour to talk to me. Her calm/grounded demeanor was very reassuring and I knew right away she was the one. Kimberly is not your average wedding planner. She is so much more! We got married in October and we hired Kimberly about a month before our big day. We were both very reluctant to bring on a wedding planner, but knew we needed help on the day of. Kimberly went above and beyond our expectations. Our big day was seamless, despite record breaking rainfall in the Gorge! Kimberly gave us so many great ideas and planned to a T, to make sure the day went off without a hitch. She is very creative and found many ways to work within our budget. Kimberly has a very calming, warm, yet confident personality. The whole experience felt like planning with a friend. Kimberly was our wedding coordinator before & during the event, and she was excellent. She blended into the background so much so that none of our guests realized we had a planner onsite, but at the same time did EVERYTHING for us to make our day go smoothly! She took care of a million tiny details I didn't even think about until the next day. Most of our guests have told us that we had the best wedding they've ever been to, and I know that Kimberly was essential in pulling that off. We were introduced to BSR through our venue, where having a day-of coordinator was a necessity due to its nature (rural B&B with difficult owners). In the lead-up to our wedding, Kimberly helped us with all of the normal stuff and also went above and beyond with some of our random requests, like finding spanish-speaking babysitters, how to pick and plan our own flower arrangements, arranging shuttles (we opted not to), recommending and working with our excellent DJ to have two music areas, dealing with me while I went back and forth about what things to rent and also helping me understand what would be necessary, working with our officiant who had never done a wedding before, helped our caterer plan for the big day, and the list goes on. She has a lot of connections in the area and many of the vendors have worked with her before, so it made me even more comfortable that our caterer and venue already knew and liked working with her and she can easily call up the owner of the rental company for special requests. Even though I was "the bride," I am NOT the type of person who can put together a pretty party. She set up our tables and they looked amazing. On the day of the wedding, I showed up with a bunch of decoration-type things she was not expecting and she incorporated them beautifully. She even brought an assistant that helped with everything! When we met Kimberly, she was so sweet and listened really well to help understand our goals and dreams for the wedding. I even wondered if she would be able to pull off the intensity required of an event coordinator, but YES can she get people in line when they need to!! Definitely the best investment - we were already spending so much on venue/food/drink that I wanted to relax during the party and focus on my guests and my husband. I don't know that I can even put into words how amazing Kimberly was for our wedding. We hired her for both florals and design and we honestly couldn't have dreamt of a more beautiful day thanks to her. We had a very specific and unique vision for our wedding day, and she brought that to life perfectly. She provided amazing inspiration and seemed to know exactly what we wanted when we couldn't even explain it. She was incredibly patient with our process of deciding what we wanted and was always available to hash out details on something we were stuck on. She even helped with decisions outside of the actual wedding day like bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen wear to make sure our entire look came together. When we needed a sign/paper goods vendor at the last minute she went out of her way to find us one and to coordinate our design goals with her. We had a set budget and she worked very hard to keep us within our budget while still providing everything we wanted. We got ENDLESS compliments on how beautiful our day was and it was all thanks to Kimberly. She not only provided the wedding of our dreams with her fantastic eye for design and gorgeous floral arrangements, but she made the planning process SO EASY. We were quite overwhelmed by how to pull off the look we were going for, but she saved us from so many headaches and we went through the planning process confident she'd be able to pull it off. We had such a wonderful experience working with Kimberly! She was helpful from Day 1. I didn't even really "believe" in wedding planners - I was sure I could do it myself - but our venue required it. Kimberly helped us plan with regular meetings by phone, a site visit, and lots of emails. She was warm and friendly to everyone. I hired Kimberly because I was extremely busy around the time of my wedding planning and knew I wanted to take the actual wedding day "off". Not only did she handle logistics day of but she gave me amazing advice, a complete schedule that I could refer to when I forgot what the plan was, and was generally there for me whenever I had questions. She was organized, kind, very helpful, and really worked to make my daughter's wedding beautiful! I found Kimberly about 2 months before my wedding. I was looking for a day of planner, and after speaking with her I knew she would be perfect for the job. I had planned a lot on my own, but I know it is critical to have someone helping that knows what they are doing. Our wedding was in Sandy, OR in September. The whole week before, the temps were rising to above 90 degrees. The day before things changed, and we were forced to change a beautiful outdoor wedding to an indoor wedding inside of my parents shop. Let me be clear. It was a hurricane. Winds were blowing and the rain was pouring. I can not express enough how much Kimberly did for us that day. She transformed a likely disaster into something beautiful and tasteful, and she did it so calmly. Beyond that, she was amazing to work with. She came to me with any changes happening, and made sure I was okay with everything she was doing beforehand. Even though our wedding changed completely in terms of what we had originally planned, it looked amazing, everything was taken care of, and people had an amazing time.
