Katy is truly the best in the business. We engaged Katy ~18 months before our original wedding date, but due to COVID this became ~30 months, so we got to know Katy well. We live out of state and didn't have context on the local wedding scene. Our venue also provided very little - we had to bring in generators, tents, furniture, etc. We are the type of clients that wanted to explore all options and vendors in the ecosystem. Our only regret is that we didn't trust Katy's guidance 100% of the time early on, because it turned out she was always right. She has excellent relationships with all the vendors and will get you great rates and service, while making sure the wedding is personalized, creative, and unique to the couple. We unexpectedly had to change venues for our rehearsal dinner 5 days before the event due to covid, and she managed it all with ease, securing new decor, transportation etc, always staying on top of the smallest details. Despite the crazy times, she maintained a positive attitude and kept us as calm as possible. Bridal Bliss also uses Rock Paper Coin, which makes payment tracking and vendor management easy. Kelly at Bridal Bliss was such an amazing partner and helped us accomplish our dream wedding! She was responsive, organized, dedicated and so so helpful. The night before the wedding we were at the venue and I noticed we were missing one of the table signs, I was stressed about it but at that point had to leave it alone. The next day, on the wedding day, Kelly had printed the new sign (which was a unique design) and had it all ready on the table. It is little details like that, that really make a difference and I appreciated SO much. I do not have enough great things to say about the wonderful planners at Bridal Bliss. I'm a Sept. 2022 bride who worked with Catherine and Ari with a "Partial Plus" (between partial/full) package. Catherine's suggestions for vendors completely paid off - I felt like I had creative partners who worked to execute a wedding day that felt totally personal to me and my husband. Catherine and Ari made the prep work fun, and I cannot imagine what I would have done without them the month-of and day-of. Because of Catherine and Ari's expert planning, the day went off without a hitch. However, if even a minor thing required attention, Ari took care of it quickly and in a way that felt totally unobtrusive. Working with Bridal Bliss was a fantastic experience. As a bride planning a wedding with my groom, parents, and sister: I was nervous and stressed. None of us knew where to start but we all thought we could handle it on our own -- we could not have been more wrong and we are very thankful that we considered Bridal Bliss for coordination. After meeting with Nora it was very apparent we needed full-service coordination and swiftly booked Katy Haley as our wedding coordinator. Katy was a pleasure to work with. However, Elizabeth and Bridal Bliss was such an integral piece of such a meaningful experience in my life, I felt like if ever this would be the vendor to leave a review for this is it! 5 Stars! I would give more stars if I could! My wife and I are not super into weddings but Elizabeth and the folks at Bridal Bliss helped craft a series of events we felt comfortable with and proud we hosted. At first we were a bit skeptical about getting a planner, but I honestly don't think we would have made it without one. There are so many more details and moving pieces than I ever imagined when we started the process. They handled everything with a thoroughness I wish half the people I worked with possessed. The event was a blast and everyone partied! Hiring Bridal Bliss was the single best decision we made throughout the entire process. It would have been half the experience without their management. Cam in particular was very professional, flexible, and accommodating to us. She was a great resource for questions, clarifications, and suggestions for the planning process leading up to the wedding. During our wedding weekend, we were impressed with how prompt and efficient she was in running our rehearsal night as well as wedding day. Our day could not have been as wonderful, detailed, and smooth without Cam and Bridal Bliss' help. On top of that, they are a group of wonderful professionals that we truly enjoyed getting to know in the process. We engaged Katy to help us with our wedding based on a very high recommendation from the caterer I chose. I engaged her 4/2022 for a 6/24/2023 wedding. It was supposed to be a full-service package. Our first phone meeting was arranged and she forgot about the appointment. I had to contact her. She recommended vendors but I had to contact and engage all of them. She did not arrange the rehearsal dinner at all - I had to get all of the invitations myself, send them out and make all of the arrangements. She said she would arrange food tastings with the caterer and never booked that. She never arranged for the cake and the company I wanted was already booked by the time I asked about whether that was taken care of. I had to once again make my own arrangements. All I can say is I was extremely disappointed in the service. The day of the wedding was wonderful - she did a fabulous job. However, I hired a full-service coordinator because I work 10 hours per day at a very demanding job. I did not receive full service. I assume this is because the wedding was small - around 40 people and no chance to obtain the extra amount that is charged by the wedding coordinator for additional invitees. We had an additional reception in southern CA which I coordinated myself with a very high end resort in Laguna Beach. The hotel coordinator did more than Katy did and there was no extra charge for her service, although I tipped her generously. read more

To preface my review below, I would like to mention this was posted a couple weeks ago. Since then, I received a call back & a check in the mail. The refund amount was such a slap in the face, 12% of services rendered, I have reposted my original thoughts that haven't changed a bit. Let's just say I had a bad experience with Bridal Bliss overall. I live in Los Angeles, and I wanted a dependable Day Of Coordinator to make sure the day went smoothly. When I was searching for Wedding Coordinators, Bridal Bliss was raved about on Yelp so I jumped on giving them a call. Their packages were more expensive than any other companies, but I trusted the reviews and the perks they provided with my Day Of Package. They said they have many preferred vendors they work with to get discounted rates. None of that happened. I was paired with Jennifer who I was slightly skeptical about because her name was nowhere on reviews and when I asked about her background at Portland weddings, she didn't seem to have much. Once we started working together, her response time was about 1 week for a simple email. When I emphasized I wanted a pastor as I am Christian, she would keep giving me recommendations for a minister. I realized she might not understand the difference, so I asked if she was Christian and she said she was but still kept sending me ordained ministers of no religion. Everything was very slow. I thought maybe it was a Portland thing and my heart went out to her because she had a 2 year old she was raising, but for someone who is from out of state things were frustrating. Even when it came to creating our day of timeline, we met at the venue. I flew into Portland a couple times for wedding visits so this was the first and main time I would meet her before the wedding. She excitedly told me they have a great CRM platform that will beautifully map out everything we discussed. I needed this ASAP to provide to my vendors. She ended up losing all the data and making a rough draft which arrived 2 weeks later. She asked me to send all my vendor contracts so she can keep track and communicate with them. None of that helped, because all my vendors came to me asking for things she was supposed to take care of. Double work for everything. During our time together and prior to, I explained how VERY important family is to me so I explained I needed both our parents to speak and for my husband and I to say a few words. She told me I already have 4 speeches so that might be too many speeches, but she would leave it in the agenda so we can go back to confirm. End result, she provided me with the Final Day Of Agenda a few weeks before the wedding. With the craziness of everything going on, I assumed my parents speeches and our speeches were on there, but it wasn't. That was my fault in not catching that. However, I have bridesmaids and friends who are Wedding Planners and they always make sure those types of important pieces are caught. Therefore, no speeches! I gave up everything the past 12 years to take care of my family and my dads speech were words I found out that were telling he was sorry for my suffering and that he was so happy I found a wonderful man like my husband. I went to Europe for my honeymoon and all I could think about was how my dad didn't get to speak, which I will bear for the rest of my life and that we didn't thank our guests. In addition, I almost forgot to change into my second dress, until the end of the night. Jennifer should have remembered to tell me. She was no where to be found most of the time. She checked in twice the entire day. I wouldn't have gone so far as to write the review, but because I will forever weigh with so much guilt from the speeches not being delivered, I had to call Nora. I explained the situation.. how I did most of her work for her and she underperformed on so many levels. She let me know Jennifer is no longer with the company. That was a sigh of relief for future customers, however, I think I'm left with a bitter taste in my mouth, because I would expect a partial refund from Nora considering how much I paid for such a unsatisfactory job. I regret ever hiring Bridal Bliss. Poor customer service all around. read more

I have known Nora for 11 years, and I have watched her grow from a smaller wedding planning firm to where she is today. When I got engaged last year, I knew right away Nora would have to plan my wedding! Nora is the actual best to work with. My fiancé and I were...ehhh...maybe not the typical bride and groom in the sense that we both wanted nothing to do with the planning. We left ALL of the vision and execution to Nora and her team, and we really just wanted to show up to have a party! After some back and forth (again..Nora is endlessly patient and never gets annoyed even though I changed my mind on venue 3 times)...we decided to have the ceremony at our home. Nora executed ever detail flawlessly. From moving all of the furniture our of our home to coordinating the day of...everything was PERFECTION! I cannot think of any other words except that. Perfect. Bridal Bliss exceeded every expectation we had throughout our entire wedding planning process. For my husband, myself, and my parents; it was absolutely imperative that we find an organized, personable wedding coordinator who could handle all of our day of needs, and we found all that and more in Miranda. Because we were having a private residence wedding, there was a lot more on our plates in terms of planning and coordination and we are 100% convinced the day would not have gone near as smoothly, nor would all of us have gotten to relax and enjoy the day so much, if we hadn't hired Miranda. She was really wonderful throughout the whole wedding planning process, bringing up questions I hadn't even thought of and masterfully organizing our wedding day timeline (by far the hardest part). She was extremely responsive to every email and always provided answers to all questions. But the real magic happened on the day of our wedding, my main concern with having our wedding at my parents home was that they wouldn't get to enjoy their daughters wedding day as much because they would be stressed out and feel they would have to help everyone - that was definitely not the case. Not only did my husband and I get to totally relax and just live in the moment of our wedding day, but so did my parents...at their own house, with 130 people there! It was perfect. We will always cherish all our wonderful memories of that perfect day and Miranda and Bridal Bliss are a huge, imperative part of those memories. As a long-distance bride, I took my time finding a Portland wedding planner. I looked through all the 'top' and 'best of' lists and narrowed it down to three candidates, whom I emailed and consulted by phone. Nora at Bridal Bliss really stood out from our initial consultation. She sounded professional and experienced, and came up with some cool ideas right on the spot. Over the next 9 months, Megan P., our day-of coordinator, took on more and more of our wedding planning, and my husband and I really liked her, too! She was very flexible and accommodating when we were only able to come in town for a few days prior to the wedding, and she and Nora did a great job communicating and following up with us. Nora steered us toward an amazing vendor for our cake, and was very patient when I went through 3 different hair and makeup trials to finally be satisfied. :) We also went through last-minute reprinting for our programs, and they handled that well, too. I had the pleasure of working with Nora and her Bridal Bliss team for a full-service coordination of my January 3rd, 2015 nuptials. Hiring Bridal Bliss was, without a doubt, the best decision I could have made in regards to my wedding. Nora and her team took care of pretty much everything imaginable so that I was able to enjoy the process, and wasn't caught up in vendor research, price negotiations, etc. Nora thought of details that I would have totally missed had I been left to my own devices to plan this wedding. Working with Katy at Bridal Bliss this past year was honestly the highlight of our wedding - besides getting married of course! Charlie and I met with Katy shortly after getting engaged, and immediately felt comfortable with her. I still remember the Saturday morning we had our first meeting! Bridal Bliss is located inside of Anna's Bridal, the most wonderful wedding dress shop imaginable. The space is gorgeous! Katy was kind enough to share some delicious macaroons a vendor has sent them to sample (this is how amazing she is!). It's incredible how much Katy got us and what we envisioned on our wedding day. Within three weeks of our initial meeting we had decided on our venue, photographer, caterer, florist and DJ. She made the process effortless and helped steer us in the right direction, which is exactly what we wanted and needed. My husband and I joke about decision paralysis being a real thing, but it's true. With so many decisions to make surrounding a wedding, having Katy provide her honest opinion was a blessing. Her attention to detail and thoroughness is unbelievable - like custom ice cubes, hanging floral chandeliers and a living garden aisle. All of these small touches were remarkable, and goes to show that it really is all in the details. Leading up to the wedding, Katy and I were talking, emailing, texting and meeting almost daily. As a result, I never once felt overwhelmed or anxious. Seriously amazing. She also handled all of the communication with vendors, which is a lot of people, especially if your venue is a blank slate like ours was! I've heard horror stories from other brides who did not use Bridal Bliss and it breaks my heart. On our wedding day, my husband and I were able to sit back, laugh and simply enjoy the day! Catherine (my personal wedding planner) met us right away super early in the planning and immediately made me feel like she was me personal friend. I trusted her implicitly. She made everything so smooth and easy. She guided us towards the best vendors for us and our budget and did her best to get us the biggest bang for our buck and did a GREAT job. I got to make the decisions but she did all the leg work and stress. It's hard to miss Bridal Bliss when searching for a Portland wedding planner. Nora Sheils (owner) is frequently on the news giving bridal and wedding trend tips, they've won a ridiculous amount of awards, are featured in national magazines, and have glowing reviews on every avenue. Not to mention, they came to me as a recommendation from a close friend who was using them for her wedding coordination. So far my experience with Bridal Bliss has been excellent. My coordinator, Meghan Wicks, is incredibly timely in her responses, patient with my cluttered ideas and has been instrumental in making my planning process EASY and SMOOTH. Not only did she keep us on track, but her calm and helpful demeanor kept as sane as well. From the first day we met with her, she understood our vision and helped to connect us with tried and true vendors to make our perfect day a reality. She took the time to make sure we incorporated little details, like homemade decor and unique florals, to make our day feel unique and our own. She even helped sort out a last-minute dress crisis. On the day of the wedding, there were so many little details that she made sure were perfect that we would have overlooked - like packing up little slices of our cake and putting them in the towncar for us when we left the venue. I am sorry to say that our experience hiring Bridal Bliss for full-time wedding coordination was disappointing to the extreme. There were many frustrations working with Christina Palmer (coordinator) on wedding planning. For one, when convincing us to sign up, Nora mentioned that Bridal Bliss can often secure discounts with vendors. Well, Christina did not really do any negotiating on our behalf. In fact, it often seemed that she served as a mere secretary, passing a contract from vendors to us without as much as reading it. For example, our DJ contract had half a sentence missing (it literally said "In the event of cancellation." with nothing after the period). And for the floral contract, the sum of the different parts did not add up to the final total. Since my husband and I discovered these (and other) omissions, we were left to review each and every contract ourselves, adding to our stress. In fact, we confronted Nora with our frustrations several months before the wedding, and she emphatically promised to handle negotiations and contracts herself going forward. She then did NOTHING. Nora and Christina also refused to return the phone calls of my husband's parents (who by the way were financially helping with the wedding). That not only showed extreme lack of professionalism, but, as you can imagine, added immensely to our stress level. The wedding day itself was well executed, and my now-husband and I appreciated that we could relax while Christina handled the details. However, we later discovered that several thousand dollars were stolen from our gift box during the wedding. This incident did not improve our mounting frustrations with Bridal Bliss. I could keep going, but I would rather put this expensive mistake behind us and move on. Were there things that Bridal Bliss did well? Yes: Christina was responsive, and had a lot of good suggestions. But the overall experience fell far short from the promises. read more

From the moment we met I felt completely reassured that everything was going to be beautiful and it was! Not only did she take care of almost EVERYTHING, but she gave me so much peace of mind.
