The first time we met Krystle in person, she felt like someone I had known my whole life, it was like I was planning my wedding with one of my closest friends. She was so attentive, on top of all the details, and made our planning process so much easier! As an interior designer, I had a very clear vision of what I wanted our wedding to look like, and Krystle helped bring all of that to life. It's fair to say that I'm extremely particular (so much so that I gave her a PowerPoint presentation of all the décor for our wedding) and she never once made me feel like I was too much, or like she didn't have time for all my thoughts and questions and emails. The vendors that she suggested were amazing, we loved them all, and she did such an amazing job the day of our wedding dealing with all the vendors so we could just enjoy the day. If there were any problems during our wedding, we almost had no idea because Krystle was just that good!! Krystle honestly went above and beyond anything I could have ever hoped for. She made sure our day ran smoothly, stuck to a schedule, and during all of it was so sweet and so kind. She even went out of her way to pick up tables and chairs for us when I made a last-minute decision to add specialty chairs to our sweetheart table. I could go on and on about how amazing she is! Towards the end of our wedding I mentioned to my husband how it was going to be weird having to say goodbye to Krystle because she had become such a constant in our life during the planning process - and to me that just tells you how amazing she is as a coordinator! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a coordinator, she's so fantastic at what she does!

On the day of the wedding, it never felt like there was something wrong or that we had to worry about much. I would highly recommend getting coordinator and choosing Krystle!

She set up all of my decor beautifully and in record time. She professionally dealt with vendors and concerns as they came up and without me having to ask. She brought food & drinks to our table when she knew we wouldn't have time to get any, packed up all of my decor/food at the end of the night, and brought us supplies when we were dealing with a drunk bridesmaid, without ever asking and without judgment. She was even fun to have on the dance floor! Family told me how great she was to work with too, and how they felt like there must have been 3 of her, she was doing so much! She was totally on board at our 1st meeting and gave us lots of ideas and suggestions to think about as we planned the wedding. Amanda checked in with us via email every few weeks to make sure we were on track with hiring vendors, ordering invitations and making sure we had ordered the wedding dress. Any questions we had were always promptly answered. Amanda was professional and paid attention to detail at all of our meetings and did an excellent job with the rehearsal. We gave her an outline for the wedding day and she worked with the vendors to make sure that the decorations were all in place, the cake table was set and everyone was dressed and ready on time so that the ceremony and reception flowed smoothly. Amanda worked hard from the moment she arrived at the venue and was one of the last people to leave after everything was boxed up and our cars were loaded. Amanda has a calm demeanour but at the same time has the ability to see what needs to be done and does it. She joined us at the rehearsal dinner so she could get to know everyone before the big day. In between overseeing the toasts and cake cutting Amanda joined us on the dance floor to lead everyone in a line dance. Amanda is amazing! She is fun, experienced and hard working. You will be so glad you hired her! We certainly were!

I can't put into words how grateful I am that Katie Wilgus was our wedding planner for our wedding…read morelast month. After our first coffee meeting, I knew she is IT. She is super dialed into the wedding industry and was able to easily rattle off recommendations for vendors that matched our style, wants and needs. I also found her to be very thoughtful, strategic, smart, and extremely calm, not to mention super experienced. And the proof is in the pudding -- if you look at photos of her events, they are so incredibly beautiful, put-together and stylish. We were originally supposed to be married in May 2020, and having to put off our marriage several times due to the pandemic was a huge disappointment. But Katie stuck by us through two rounds of rescheduling and helped us through it ALL. She understands events and the industry so well that even though the pandemic was uncharted territory for all of us, her knowledge and gut instincts saved us many times. She was always quick to answer emails and phone calls, and there was never a loose end on her watch -- she is so organized and focused. And we could always count on her to be super honest and transparent with her advice; if spending money on something added a lot of value or made a lot of sense, she would tell us, but she would also let us know where we could easily save money. I was happy with every one of her recommendations -- vendors, decor, paper goods, everything! I will also never forget the many examples of kindness and empathy that Katie showed us, including literally HOLDING a plate of cheese and fruit for me to eat from between photos on my wedding day! Her compassion and positive energy are honestly humbling. When we were planning our event with all these masking and safety restrictions, I was worried that after all this work and all these postponements, the resulting event was going to feel like a compromise. But our day was honestly perfect and stunningly beautiful, and a lot of the credit for that goes to Katie. I am forever grateful and would heartily recommend her to anyone planning an event.

The moment we met with Katie we knew she would be perfect for us. At the time of our meeting with Gather Event my anxiety was high. I felt like I had nothing under control and wasn't sure how I was going to handle everything, but by the end of the meeting I felt much calmer and confident that Katie would make our day run perfectly. Through the entire process she was cool, calm, and collected. Her team made sure every detail was covered, thought about, and managed. They helped create our wedding timeline and made sure all vendors were aware of timing and facilitated those relationships from start to finish. I didn't have to think about much during the last couple of weeks before the wedding and what a gift that was; to be relaxed and confident before the big day! I am so thankful we decided to have Gather Event Planning be a part of our day. I received so many compliments on how smooth everything ran, and how perfectly calm the wedding atmosphere seemed. That was all thanks to Katie and her team. I couldn't have asked for a better day. Do yourself a favor, and hire a day-of-coordinator and make sure it's Gather Event Planning!

Will and Sarah made our day legitimately so special and every tiny detail (many of which I had not thought of) was handled thoughtfully ahead of time. My husband and I have such a busy daily schedule and for us to plan a wedding on top of it all seemed like an overwhelming task. I told myself I deserved a *treat* in the form of a day of coordinator. Unlike the buyers remorse I commonly feel after buying clothes and then trying them on again at home in front of my bad mirrors, there is ZERO buyer's remorse with DMWTB. Will was professional, punctual, and flexible from the beginning. I went in to the process having identified and booked most of my vendors already but to have someone help do all the coordination with the vendors the week of, including having detailed timelines and a floor plan created, saved me so much time and angst. Will and Sarah made our set-up beautiful and really captured the rustic feeling I wanted. Sabrina and the J29 team were THE special sauce in delivering our multi-day, "Old…read moreHollywood/Bollywood meets PNW cozy" Indian-Western fusion wedding that dazzled every guest. We are STILL getting cards and notes from guests that it was the highlight of their year. Originally I was looking for a planner that was organized, reliable, and could help bring my vision to life, who would ensure things went off without a hitch. Did I get those things? Absolutely. Sabrina had every detail covered, helped me delegate each task, and created the most comprehensive planning doc for every vendor. Thanks to her, we were 10000% present on our wedding day. All things that the How-To-Pick-a-Planner articles say you should look for - we got them in spades. But man, it's the things you don't realize you need that had me floored about working with Sabrina / J29. One was network. Sabrina, Shauna & J29 are clearly well-known in the community for doing what they do with zest, gusto, and style. Every vendor we interviewed had amazing things to say about J29 or was expressly eager to work with them. When we couldn't get responses to outreach emails, Sabrina had the connection that helped get things booked. She knows the industry expertly and saved us HOURS of research, giving us the perfect vendor recommendations. (I finally stopped asking for 5-6 recos because we always ended up narrowing to her original top two!). The team that we assembled was sheer perfection. We got a room block at a hotel that generally doesn't do them. The list goes on. All this to say, Sabrina and J29 are well-known, well-respected, and can get you the team you need and want while saving you time, stress, and headache AND making the process fun. What blew us away though - Sabrina herself. She is Superwoman. Kind. Funny. Endlessly energetic. Did I mention funny? She will get sh** done on your behalf. All my little neurotic worries -- Sabrina had already foreseen the details & had solutions up her sleeve. Whenever we worried we were being too fussy, she would lovingly remind us that WE were "the pie," and we deserved this day. Her energy is infectious. She was the perfect salve to my procrastination - I couldn't not pick up the phone because every conversation was so fun. Sabrina was also committed to making sure that both my personality and my partner's were well represented in the details, from napkin color to DJ choice. She talked us through our opinions, getting to the heart of what mattered to both of us and offering creative, beautiful compromises that felt greater than the sum of their parts. We felt like our wedding was truly ours and nobody else's. A final thing: cost, only because I found similar comments helpful in my own search. Hiring Sabrina and the J29 team was THE best investment in our wedding. We'd do it again in a heartbeat. We had no idea the incredible creativity, knowledge, and execution that we were signing up for, and it was worth every penny we paid and then some. If you have the budget and are waffling at all on hiring a planner, I am telling you that the ROI on J29 is huge -- you will not regret this choice. I could go on about Sabrina & J29 for hours (and my bridesmaids are probably sick of hearing me gush), so I'll simply end: I could never imagine our spectacular, multicultural celebration without Sabrina, her heart, and know-how. She really is the ride-or-die planner/friend that people ache for. She is our dear friend, she has our hearts forever.

My now wife and I had a vision to create a weekend getaway in Hood River for our guests, including ones that had never been to the Pacific Northwest and have multiple events that included a day of Indian wedding festivities (Mhendi and Sangeet), followed up a day of western wedding while still paying homage to Indian culture. Sabrina took on the challenge, coordinated, designed and planned events across the weekend and delivered above and beyond our expectations. Sabrina's strength is carefully listening on her client's vision, learning our communication style, problem solving in high stressful environments and bring proactive. Sabrina is easy to get along, very approachable and each time we meet with her made us more excited for the big day. Sabrina was great at getting early inputs from us on the vibe and feel for the weekend and events we envisioned, and brought her own design inputs which uplifted the theme of our wedding to create an incredible experience for us and our guest. This resulted in her recommended us to do the Indian events at the Society Hotel around hood river and helped us secure room blocks for accommodating our guest. My wife and I, being very literal, needed more visual cues to better understand how different designs would come together. Sabrina understood that and was quick at putting together design boards/decks to simplify brainstorming but then to see the final vision. Sabrina made herself available when we need and quick was taking out feedback and turning things around. After our initial meeting, Sabrina had a compressive plan in place, including a budget planner we followed that allows us to stay within our budge. As a groom, I was very much involved in the design process and what I appreciate about Sabrina was balancing inputs from my wife and I who at times had different design aesthetic. Instead of favoring one design input vs another, Sabrina was patient with us, dove into understanding what specific were important to us and figured out design blends that in the end were exceptional and satisfied both my wife and I. Her ability to turn a boring and empty gym at the Society Hotel into an incredible space with Indian wedding astatic was incredible to experience and more importantly was significantly better than we would have imagined. Something I really appreciated about Sabrina was having periodic check-ins that were quick and to the point to continue to make progress on items that required our input. She gently nudged us when needed to close on decisions and kept us on budget and found great alternatives when something we wanted would exceed our budget. Instead of given us too many options, she would curate vendor and design choices to 2-3 items that helped us avoid being overwhelmed with choices. Sabrina's problem-solving skills, coupled with her knowledge about the wedding industry, her designing skills, and network of vendors is an asset. For example, when we weren't satisfied with the existing lighting at our venue, she was able to put together a plan with one of her vendors even though initially it appeared that adding more lights would be difficult. Similarly, as we struggled to find an Indian caterer, Sabrina worked with the catering team for the non-Indian event to work with us to put together an Indian menu that was impressive. The pool of recommended vendors that J29 has in its portfolio is an important asset. Because of Sabrina's personal connections to various vendors, it felt that the entire vendor team was in-sync and knew each other's rhythm. Another strength of Sabrina is how well she is organized to where my wife and I were never aware of all the work happening behind the scenes during the events and everything were smooth and according to the plans Sabrina laid out well in advance of the events. Sabrina and her team managed and coordinated with all the vendors and it and ensured the event went on as planned with all the backup plans in place just in case they were needed without hassle. It was quite impressive to see them all curate each event. I would highly recommend Sabrina and the J29 team and will looking for more excuse to require their service in the future. Throughout this process my wife and I became great friends with Sabrina and were really grateful to have made the choice to work with her and the J29.
