I am sharing this as a caution in choosing this company as I see many positive reviews but our…read moreexperience was FAR from positive. I was part of my best friends wedding this past weekend and our experience with Party Factory was beyond unprofessional, rude, and demeaning. My best friend placed an order for linens 6 months ago to which she was told they would be able to fulfill said order. Two weeks before the wedding (nearly 6 months since placing the order) she was contacted by Party Factory informing her they did not have the colors she wanted. Upset but understanding things happen, she came up with a solution and choose to do all white linens to which she was then told they also cannot fulfill. Again this was two weeks before her wedding after months of being told that everything was fine and she would be able to get the linens she needed/wanted. Upon the day of the set up and rehearsal (the day before the wedding) the linens were dropped off--this include disproportionate amounts of black, grey, silver, and white. On top of this, two of the white table clothes had stains and the company did not drop off the drapes for the ceremony backdrop. We called and waited to have them delivered. Further when they were delivered, there were lose threads and not all of the drapes were there. At this point we were so behind we did not have time to wait for more so we did what we could to make it work despite the mistakes made by this company. Thankfully, the venue allowed us to use some of their own and we ended up not using any of the black cloths. The night of the wedding when Party Factory came to pick them up the owner Cyrus was present and the wedding coordinator explained the stains and how we had not used the black asking for a refund. Cyrus was unbelievably rude, disrespectful and demeaning telling the wedding coordinator to "lower her expectations" and that she "obviously doesn't know the industry and has never done this before" to which she quickly corrected that she was a wedding coordinator and had been part of this industry for awhile. Further, several days after the wedding Cyrus sent an email to the bride accusing her of being a "bully" stating that "[she was] rude to [his] staff, and has unrealistic expectations of people especially after [she] hasbeen a bully to them.  [He and the staff] all love working on events and helping to make events the best product that [they] can, when [they] are working with people who are nice and share [their] goals of a great event it encourages [them] to double [their] efforts, however you [the customer] crap on people and are not the kind of customer [he] wants to work with.  Please use another company in the future." It is also worth noting that the individual he emailed (the bride) was not even present during the time of this encounter. I am in awe of the unprofessionalism and disrespect. I cannot express into words how much I would NOT recommend this company to anyone who wants an stress-free and communicative experience for their wedding or other events.

Our experience was stellar all three years. They are easy to work with and very clear about logistics and prices. They arrived with deliveries on time as promised, and picked up on schedule. Their billing is seamless and has always been correct to the letter. Their equipment is in perfect condition. And they are very nice to deal with in person, on the phone and by email. Really just a great experience overall. Highly recommended and we look forward to working with them for all of our future parties.

To celebrate West Linn's centennial this year, the city offered a number of special events. One of…read moremy favorites, as a student of history, were the monthly historical walking tours in different neighborhoods throughout West Linn. This first walk in January started at the McLean House and the series just concluded here as well. It is a beautiful venue that I consider to be West Linn's grand house. Sure there are plenty of modern mansions much more extravagant in scale and decor, but this is a beautifully restored and maintained historic home that is a lovely remembrance of times gone by and my city's roots. The home was given to the city by the McLean family after the construction of the Abernethy bridge drastically altered their river view. It is still a lovely location with a park like setting out back featuring a gazebo built by the local Lions Club. The interior has been restored with an eye to matching the original decor as closely as possible. For example, upstairs in the Groom's Room there is a nautical theme and you will see the wallpaper is very close to the original paper still present in the closet. The Bride's Room is the former master suite and my favorite room in the house is the sitting room with fireplace and red couch just off to the side. A close second is the sun room on the main floor downstairs. The original light fixtures are beautiful and there are enough updates to make this a comfortable entertaining venue. It is frequently the location for weddings, reunions and historic events in our city. The next public event on the calendar is the cookie exchange in December. I applaud the Friends of McLean House for doing such a wonderful job maintaining this historic structure and opening it to the public.

We live out of state and didn't have context on the local wedding scene. Our venue also provided very little - we had to bring in generators, tents, furniture, etc. We are the type of clients that wanted to explore all options and vendors in the ecosystem. Our only regret is that we didn't trust Katy's guidance 100% of the time early on, because it turned out she was always right. She has excellent relationships with all the vendors and will get you great rates and service, while making sure the wedding is personalized, creative, and unique to the couple. We unexpectedly had to change venues for our rehearsal dinner 5 days before the event due to covid, and she managed it all with ease, securing new decor, transportation etc, always staying on top of the smallest details. Despite the crazy times, she maintained a positive attitude and kept us as calm as possible. Bridal Bliss also uses Rock Paper Coin, which makes payment tracking and vendor management easy. We simply could not have done it without Katy and Bridal Bliss. They are worth every penny and more. We would be happy to be a reference for any prospective clients.

Thanks Portland PartyWorks! You brought the "party" for our on-campus work event with your array of inflatable fun and equipment. It was a great outdoor, mid-pandemic distraction during a workday ... and everything you promised it would be ... of course, after I signed the waiver and got my wristband. BTW, I suck at archery ... and axe throwing (this a thing?), and other dangerous "sports involving weaponry" ... so, it's no real surprise (to me or my mother) that I really suck at the inflatable "safe" plastic archery and axe throwing. Luckily, that infamous 2012 incident involving little Jimmy and Mrs. Wilkerson wasn't repeated as no one got hurt, put an eye out, or had to induce vomiting. The main thing to remember about Portland PartyWorks ... besides that they showed up on-time & on-budget ... is that the key to a safe party is to "stop, drop, and roll" with the fun. PartyWorks was all fun and games ... period. Just games ... and (very) safe fun.

Knowing that this was going to be one of the most important days in our lives, we did a lot of homework and interviewed several planners. In addition to experience and strong references, the single most important factor to us was chemistry. Warm and genuinely caring, we connected with Carisa from the start and knew we didn't want to entrust our wedding to anyone else. The other factors we considered: 1) clear, reliable communication skills - including the ability to listen and really understand our vision and intention for the event; 2) strong organizational skills and follow-through; 3) established relationships with the best vendors; 4) clear design inspiration and passion; and 5) a game-day MVP who calmly directs the show behind the scenes and makes everything run smoothly. Carisa delivered on every criteria, and, in fact, exceeded our high expectations. It has now been over a year since our special day, and we still get compliments from our guests who tell us it was the best wedding they've ever been to! The whole experience was truly joyous and magical, and Carisa and the entire Adornment Events team were essential in making our dream a reality.
