This place looks like the backrooms. Come for the drinks- stay for the liminal vibes.

Cheapest drinks at stateline, and the nicest staff. Everytime I come to Tahoe, i always end up stopping here multiple times a night mainly for drinks, but the vibes here are unmatched. Definitely a little more smokey than other casinos but worth a check out!

Second time here in a month and I gotta say if you want better odds less smoke, food at your machine, and super nice staff-this is the place! While everything on the menu wasn't available. I had several good choices and the food is soooo cheap it's insane. Mini corn dogs for less than $4 and lots of old school gaming made it an amazing visit for me. Shout out to Rachelle for explaining how things work and being so welcoming and friendly

Excellent service from her!!

Old school vibe. Lots of cigarette smoke. But a place you can sit and hide and play machines. I dig it here ..

Good people, good vibe, very clean, quiet. Old school. Perfect alternative to the hustle and bustle of larger casinos.

Don't expect a free drink if you play nickles. Rude employee's. Won't ever be back. Looks and feels like a dive bar.

In Stateline, I found Dotty's to be one of the best as far as customer service. They are accommodating and nice here!

The remodel is beautiful. Shopping Lots of restaurants, ranging from high-end to food counters,(they have a Carvel! I haven't seen a Carvel ice cream place outside of New York. ) lots of gaming, lots of bars, and they have a large arcade area for the kids. It's all very nice. Harrah's is right across the street, and you can walk between the properties without ever stepping outside. I was checked in by PJ, so friendly, conversational, and helpful. She was awesome. I got an upgrade to a Lakeview room. It was more of a partial Lake view, but still it was nice. Even at full price, it would be worth it.... The room was very large, and clean. there was a full walk-in shower, the TV had a great picture with a lot of channels, and of course movies for rent, plenty of places to charge my gear, and the bed was very comfortable. I slept very well. There is a fridge, but no microwave. My biggest problem, is the nickel and diming. Unless you have "status", there's that ubiquitous resort fee. If you book with the Caesar's app/webpage, it is built into the price, other than taxes. Parking... if you are military or a veteran, you can get a military players card, and that will waive your parking fee. The room's mini bar. Six bucks for a 12 ounce Pepsi? 10 bucks for a small bag of pretzels or a snack size can of Pringles? And if you want something with alcohol, , FUHGEDDABOUDIT!!! Grab some snacks or whatever you want before you get here, and just use the fridge. There's even a dollar tree just a few minutes away. Finally, the Wi-Fi. Basic Wi-Fi, up to 10 MBPS is free, up to four devices. If you want enhanced Wi-Fi, it's eight bucks a day, per... Device.... I just stayed with the basic Wi-Fi. The speed was enough to stream video. Other than the nickel and diming, it was a fantastic stay. . If I could get a good rate, I would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

They have delivered today on the room we had contracted for. It must be understood that the situation is out of the control of the front desk workers. We are all dealing with the remodel, incidentally the new rooms are all brand new and very nice. We will finish this post at the end of our stay.

I did not request a cancellation and still have no idea how this happened. To re-instate the reservation, I had to be charged the same amount again. They informed me I would receive a refund in 3-7 business days from the initial payment. I did not receive a refund, nor any confirmation of a refund from the hotel. Upon reaching out to customer service again after the 7th business day, they couldn't find any note of a refund. I had to report the double charge to my bank as fraud. Now onto the actual stay...our room was disgustingly dirty. There was a thick layer of dust along every surface in the entire room. It looked like the room had not been cleaned in weeks. Every piece of bedding and every single towel was filled with static. After just sitting in the bed, you would get shocked by anything you touched. There are no outlets near the bed and very minimal outlets in the room at all. Our room was supposed to be directly across from the other room in our party, and instead it was down the hall. This was after several confirmations from the hotel that it would be directly across. When we booked this room, there was a special going on for a $25 food and beverage credit per room, with 25% off the bar at the hotel. We did not receive this credit, nor did we receive any discount at the hotel. This advertisement for the credit and discount was also a complete scam. Prior to this hotel switching from Hard Rock to the Golden Nugget, it was one of our favorite places to stay. After trying it out post-switch, we will never be staying here again.

The reservation was for two rooms, so it was like we had our own apartment. It was spacious. We liked that it had a full kitchen equipped with anything we might need. The staff are all very nice and knowledgeable. It's also so close to everything that we pretty much walked wherever we needed to go, unless it was further than a mile. It's close to everything,…read moreincluding Heavenly Village, restaurants, shops, and the gondola, which makes it incredibly convenient and walkable. We typically stay at Edgewood when visiting South Lake Tahoe, but decided to try something different this time. Unfortunately, the stay got off to a rough start. We arrived around noon on Friday and were told our room was ready, even though official check-in is at 4 PM. When we went up, housekeeping was still cleaning and informed us it would be another 30 minutes. Later, the manager called to apologize and explained that we had been given the wrong room number. He asked for permission to have staff move our belongings to the correct room. While the apology was appreciated, it wasn't a great first impression and set the tone for the rest of the stay. There is no room service, despite having an onsite restaurant (Fire + Ice), which was disappointing after a long travel day. I also asked the front desk if they had honey so I could make green tea in our room and was told they didn't. For a Marriott property, that felt surprising and oddly basic. Housekeeping is not provided daily. There was no one to make the bed or tidy up during our stay. While we were told we could call if we needed anything, it still felt like a noticeable downgrade in service for a hotel at this price point. We stayed from Friday to Sunday, and the only complimentary item offered was a single homemade cookie, handed out individually. On Saturday, hot chocolate was available, but it was $5 per cup. Charging for hot water, cocoa powder, and a few marshmallows felt nickel-and-dimey, especially at a resort-style hotel. The biggest frustration, however, was the constant timeshare solicitation. Immediately after checking in, we were approached at the concierge desk and pitched a "promotion." We declined. Later that same day, we were approached again and declined once more. Then on Saturday evening at 7 PM, my personal cell phone rang with caller ID showing Marriott. It was the same person calling yet again to pitch the timeshare. While a gift card was offered, not everyone is interested in $200. Our vacation time is more valuable than sitting through a 90-minute sales presentation. After declining multiple times, the continued follow-up felt unprofessional. A clear "no" should be noted and respected. The room itself was nice. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, living area, and a separate bedroom and bathroom. The layout was functional for families, with two TVs and a sofa bed in the living room. However, the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and made sleeping difficult, especially after long days out. There was a simple welcome note in the room, but no other welcome amenity. We weren't expecting much, just a small thoughtful touch. The property does offer an outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi, open from 8 AM to 10 PM, which is a nice amenity for families and for unwinding after a day out. Checkout is at 10 AM, which feels early. Many comparable hotels offer at least an 11 AM checkout. In our case, by Sunday morning we were so eager to leave due to the overall experience that we checked out at 8:00 AM. We genuinely couldn't wait to go. Overall, while the location and room layout are strong, the lack of basic hospitality, repeated sales pressure, limited housekeeping, and early missteps made this stay feel more transactional than relaxing. For the price and the Marriott name, I expected a far more polished experience. We would not choose to stay here again.

Here there was an indoor pool/hot tub and small exercise room. Those are normal things to me, not resort things. I did like the hot tub and pool stayed open late for adult only time 10-midnight. I don't love that the only parking option is valet at 40 a day. I do love that they decorate in all teal becuase I find that color very tranquil and it's my favorite color. :) We had a king suite and it was modern and roomy and no complaints there whatsoever! Loved the true blackout curtains of course. We ate at the one place on site that was open til 11. It was mediocre. We did the breakfast buffet one morning. It was ok as well. Nothing stood out food wise on site. When I arrived, the front desk staff were great. The manager and Alexis were very friendly and provided me with everything I would need. I thought the room was nice. All the rooms are suites, with a separate living room, dining area, sofa bed, and then the bedroom. Bathroom is shower only but clean and functional. The gym is small but got the job done. The pools were not clean and had an overwhelming chlorine odor. I guess maybe that helps kill all the bacteria. But why the two stars you may ask. It's because they have a terrible valet company working here. This is a valet parking only resort for $40 a night. I thought it was unnerving when I first arrived and saw how the young valet drivers were treating the customers cars. They acted like it was NASCAR racing. (If you do not believe me, stand by the entrance of the parking lot which is left of the front entrance and watch how they drive the vehicles) But I dismissed my worrying thoughts and left the car with AAA Parking valet. I didn't take the car out for the two nights I stayed there. Upon check out and summoning my car from valet, the fender and front bumper were damaged. They know what they did because I saw the guilt on their faces. Filled out a claim. I asked to see the footage on arrival and they said that it was security's "day off". Huh?! Security completely takes days off at a giant resort hotel?! That was a cop out. AAA Parking Management that Margaritaville employs to valet their customers cars need to be investigated. I will file a complaint with the better business bureau and a civil suit against Margaritaville if action isn't taken in a timely manner. Needless to say I would never stay here again due to the valet only parking. With young men who do not respect people's property.
