Once you…read morewalk in the store, you are greeted by not only friendly staff and excellent service, but an overwhelming display of games and consoles that range from the old NES to the newer ones today. The owner is very passionate about gaming, and has a personal collection that I could only dream to have. I've had many a great conversation about games we've played, and our own personal favorites. Overall, this is my favorite place to go for games. If you are looking for retro games & consoles, then this is the place for you. They will even let you return a game if it doesn't work in your console, and will trade it with another one free of cost. Lastly, they are a one-stop-shop and they carry all of the accessories you may have forgotten about (like cords, memory cards galore, and cases for handhelds). I bet you forgot all about the rumble pack for you N64 controller, or the core memory expansion that you need to play certain games. Whatever it is retro, you name it, they have it. If you have any questions, they can answer them. And if you are looking for a specific game they do not have in stock, then no worries, just be sure to sign up at the store with your name and phone number and the owner will call you when the game is in Update: last review I left pretty much was a gush session. And this update isn't honestly any different. If you want to find friendly staff, decent prices, and amazing selection of retro games. Come here... this is hands down my favorite place to come to for retro games and customer service. Nick the owner is such a great guy and very knowledgeable about everything retro. THIS STORE DOESNT OVER INFLATE PRICES I hate going to a "retro game store" just to find out they are basically a pawn shop trying to gut you on every sale. Retro Replay is my favorite game store, been going here for years and I hope to continue coming here for years to come! Gaming is my life, besides family and work. It's my passion and hobby, and I can't think of a store like this one that combines customer service with the best pricing. Love you guys always

Other than the two bathrooms, the amenities included mini fridge, safe, bar/vanity area. A big couch. No outlets in the bathroom. I used the bar area as the vanity to plug in my flat iron. The beds were not comfortable. It sinks in the middle. I literally slept on the very edge of the bed and my body still sank towards the middle. Parking is $30 a night. If you're Diamond status and up, it's free. There are two parking machines to feed your ticket by the stairs. You can also feed it at the gate when you leave. Best to do it beforehand in case your card needs assistance. The location is central and walking distance to everything. CVS is outside on the main street to pick up water or what you left at home. You can get coffee at Starbucks downstairs in the lobby or outside next to CVS called Noel's. Access to Ceasar Republic is connected underground to go across the street. You can casino hop very easily. The casino itself is out dated and small that the air circulated with cigarette smell. I had my mask on but the cigarettes were so strong.

We could hear people on the hallway and next door. Elevator screens didn't show what floor you were on or going to. So that made things a little confusing. Lots of areas undergoing construction, like the arcade. And pretty expensive too. The resort fees ($30 a day) and the self parking ($20 a day) make this stay something like a 5 star hotel, but it isn't that. Location is great. Quick walk to Heavenly Village. Love that it's connected by an escalator to Caesar Republic (formerly Harvey's). I probably wouldn't stay here again. I would stay across the street at Caesar Republic which seemed to be newer and fresher.

I stopped in here with my crew a couple of weeks ago but forgot to write a review. I just…read moreremembered when I came across the food pics! We went to the restaurant inside the Gold Dust Casino in Carson City. There was a little wait to get the host to seat us. They were doing double duty as the cashier as well. The smoke in the restaurant is less than it is in the casino, as far as smaller casinos go, the smoke wasn't super bad. We got seated and drink orders taken. I see they have a prime rib special available 7 days a week for $16.99, not just on Friday's and Sat. like some other casino restaurants, plus, you don't have to wait till 4pm either, available at 11am seven days a week! I went with that, medium rare please. Someone else ordered the breakfast, "Little Star", basically a standard 2 egg with hashbrowns and toast and sausage for $7.99. One of the crew ordered the "Wrangler" burger, a double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings in the burger, served with fries. For appetizers, we got the onion rings and the loaded potato skins. The food all arrives and everything looks scrumptious. My Prime Rib was a decent size cooked as ordered, served with a baked potato. The appetizers were good, I actually like the loaded skins with the melty cheese and bacon. The onion rings were a smallish portion, but I guess it was just $4.99 so there's that. The Wrangler burger was quite a sight! He said the meat was real good and seemed like bigger than the two 1/4 pound patties on the menu. I'd come back here again, this is a new revamped menu from years ago.

Another good visit--both at The Grille and Gold Dust West Casino…read more Customer service truly goes a long way, and visiting here always reminds me of being in Vegas. I frequent many dining establishments across Fernley, Sparks, Reno, and most recently Carson City, and from our experiences, Gold Dust West stands out. The employees we've encountered consistently provide good to great customer service and genuinely understand the value of repeat customers and long-term business. They almost always have a wait during dinner hours; however, tables turn quickly and the kitchen keeps up with demand. We've never waited long for our food, which says a lot during peak times. I honestly wish this level of understanding and execution could be instilled in some other nearby cities here in Northern Nevada. Grateful shout-outs to Rebecca in Guest Services, Jelly our server, and Jason (J) the bartender at GDW Casino. And at The Grille at GDW Casino--thank you to Manager Bryant, whom I truly appreciate for taking the time to have a conversation, Host Ashley, and our great server Aquiles. Also, kudos to the chef and kitchen staff for consistently delivering good-quality food in a timely manner. Great service, great teamwork, and another enjoyable visit.

With the IMAX in Reno right around…read morethe corner, watching a movie at Galaxy Theatres Carson is really only about convenience if you live here. We oddly purchased our tickets at the concession counter while buying our popcorn and drinks. They do offer affordable beer & wine which is nice. $8 for a 6oz glass of Sauvignon Blanc isn't bad at all. The concessions staff was also very friendly and gave me a free re-fill on my soda even though they didn't have to. That was much appreciated. The seats in the theatre aren't terrible, but they aren't the great quality as the theatres in Reno. Strangely, the seats in the front of the theatre are different than the ones in the back. None of them recline, but I don't understand the thought behind two different seat styles. The ones in the front are poorer quality. Like what you would expect from the 1990's. Just strange really. I was also surprised to notice a handful of sunflower seeds in the seat next to me. Just another odd thing. Obviously no one had cleaned the theatre since the last show. Overall, Galaxy Carson is an okay option if you are nearby, but I wouldn't go out of my way to see a movie here.
