Love the prawn tempura. The fact it was so fresh and crispy makes every other dish I have eaten here a bit irrelevant. Sushi and Korean dishes not bad. But those prawns seems to stand out head and shoulders above anything else. Quite a small place and booking can be hard to get. read more

Who knew the less than salubrious surrounds of Finsbury Park station would be home to such a fantastic restaurant? On my visits here the staff have been helpful and efficient, and the food, well that's just been one taste sensation after another.... Absolutely delicious and ridiculously good value for money. I'd love to give this place 5 stars as the food was amazing but I asked for a starter to be taken off the order just after ordering but the waitress kept reassuring me that the dish wasn't spicy and didn't take it off even though I made it clear that we no longer wanted it. Was initially recommended a different restaurant by our Korean friend but it wasn't open on a Sunday so stumbled upon this place instead and will definitely recommend to friends and be returning! We ordered bibimbap. A nice surprise miso soup which I wasn't expecting turned up at the table. I liked the price and portions that we got. Staff were friendly. read more

I was really looking forward to eating here - until I ordered and the waitress told me "oh you won't like that you should order something else". Hmmm, I'm sure I would get into trouble for making some sort of stereotypical judgement about someone based on their ethnicity, but anyhow.... The food was ok but the experience was spoiled by the staff - apart from the rude waitress we had to ask for drinks again, which were added to our bill again. Came across this on my way out of Finsbury Park tube. I ordered a take out Salmon bento box - it was delicious! Came with veggie dumplings, salad, rice and some tasty soy dressings. It was reasonably priced for the portion size and I'd definitely go back here again! read more

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago. Had been meaning to for almost a year and wish I hadn't waited so long. The food was amazing. I had something from the Korean bbq section. The menu is huge so will be going back soon. The atmosphere is really fun and cheapish beer. It's very small and you have to book! I'm Korean and i can say that Dotori is the best Korean restaurant in London with no doubt. I haven't tried Japanese dish there but only Korean dishes. So dunno how Japanese dishes taste like but believe they're good. It's kinda hidden place and tastes much better than any other Korean restaurants in central. The place is quite small but the services and foods are absolutely brilliant. Think that's why the table is all the time fulI and gotta wait if hasn't booked b4 visiting. wish they launch another branch in central as well! read more

Dotori is by far one of the best restaurants I've been to in this city. I've been coming here for years and have not been disappointed to date. My favourites are the spicy pork barbecue, beef bimibap and tempura donburi. The sushi is also excellent. Service can be a bit slow if it's busy but it's always worth the wait. You need to book for this place... how can you book if they don't answer the phone? Been trying for 2 days now.

This a great restaurant. HOWEVER... the 'discretionary service charge' automatically added to your bill DOES NOT go to the staff. Which I think is really poor. Please consider having this removed from your bill and leaving them cash instead. I hope the owners soon consider changing this policy to what I think would be more in line with what their customers would want. read more

So lucky to have Dotori in Finsbury Park! The food is clean and tasty, unlike the too plentiful chicken shops that litter the area. The bbq beef bibimbap is scrumptious as are the soups, tempura and sushi I've tried. The food is as good as, and in some cases much better than, places I've been elsewhere in the city. I always find the staff friendly and efficient, and the prices are fair. All my friends love it too and have been since I first took them. It's popular so book, even on week nights. read more
