Called for an appointment on Thursday and Friday morning the chimney guy was at the apt ready to do his job. It took him about an hour for cleaning and inspection and he told me that the fireplace was not used much in the past and it just needed a good cleaning and lookover . Rate was reasonable and the advice he gave me for proper maintenance and care was very useful ..Was thinking about having the fireplace sealed up so I wouldn't have to deal with it anymore when the new tenant moves it but the chimney guy told me , it would be a shame to not have a fireplace especially during the winter time and a fireplace in a condo apt is rare and very cool , so fireplace stays put . This small grassy area was an eye sore with dead bushes and weeds. Manuel and his crew removed the dead bushes and weeds from the grassy area, framed it out to create a concrete boarder, then added pavers in the center exactly how we asked. He very accommodating, listened to our ideas snd worked with us to transform this area. In the back he not only did a great job creating a concrete space we can now use as a patio but also removed an old wooden deck we had in the back that really needed to go. He also resurfaced the foundation wall surrounding the house. Manuel and his crew were professional and easy to work with. His price was competitive and at the end of the day my property was left clean and neat. I recommend them and will be using them again in the spring for more work needed on our home.

In 2016, J&S did a lot of work at the rear of our house in Throgs Neck. Granite terrace,…read morestairway...and stucco. Two years later, the stucco was beginning to de-laminate in three spots. In the spring of 2020, when the stucco was looking really terrible (bubbles, peeling, falling off, etc...see photos for examples), we asked John to come by and take a look. Of the roughly 450 square feet of stucco applied, about half is showing severe bubbling and peeling now. HE TOOK NO RESPONSIBILITY. It's water damage...that's not in dispute...but he blamed everything from the siding on the house to the stone terrace...which he installed. Since then, we've had two stucco experts inspect the damage, and they both immediately had the same verdict. The stucco was laid directly over the cinder block, with absolutely no water management / prevention in place. No mesh or styrofoam, no drip line cut into the granite lip above the stucco wall, nothing. Now we face a $4,000 repair job...for work done only FOUR years ago. Needless to say we'll be finding another company to do the work. In his online response, John will likely say that the vinyl siding of the house is causing water problems. So it's important to say here that NONE of the problem areas are anywhere near the siding. We're having water problems because, again, there was NO mesh or styrofoam placed between the cinder block and stucco, and there was no drip line added to the overhead granite lip...which they installed. NO EXCUSES. Avoid these guys, unless you want to pay twice.

When I bought a condo, Concrete Care removed the cheap vinyl that the previous owner had put on the…read morefloor and replaced it with a gorgeous concrete floor. The work took 7 work days for ~500 square feet, and the whole process took ~2.5 weeks from when I first messaged to when they finished. I messaged through Yelp on a Saturday, and Daniel called me back on the Monday. Jack came out to provide an estimate the next day, and he brought samples of polished concrete so I could pick a color. He gave me two quotes: one for removing the vinyl and just polishing and one for also pouring self-leveling concrete and polishing that. The estimates were competitive with quotes I had received from others, and he sent them through Quickbooks within hours of meeting. We decided that they would remove the existing floor first so we could get a sense of what just polishing that would look like. They also provided a COI promptly once we decided on this plan. Jack had a three-man crew come out the following Monday. They arrived everyday from 9 am to 9:15 am. Within an hour, they had ripped up the baseboards and vinyl floor. The concrete underneath had bubbles, large cracks, inconsistent coloring, and a large stain from previous water damage. The foreman, Alberto, suggested they just pour new concrete, and I agreed. We got Jack on the phone and went ahead with that plan. The crew did a great job putting up plastic to protect the walls and the limited furniture I had in the unit. They also put up plastic in the building hallways and carefully disposed of all debris. And 7 workdays later, the floor looks great! Would definitely call up Concrete Care again for any remodeling that fits their skills. For reference, the four photos are of (1) the living room before removing the vinyl, (2) the living room after removing the vinyl, (3) the completed living room, and (4) the concrete samples in the living room before the work.
