My mom and I have been wanting to go here for a while, and we finally decided to try it out. My favorite thing about Dose is that they sell breakfast all day. Sometimes you crave biscuits at night and Dose is here to make sure you get those needs filled. My mom got a chai tea with avocado toast and I got the Barcelona iced coffee with a rosemary biscuit sandwich with an extra regular biscuit with jam. Being a unicorn in Nashville, my life has always been built around eating biscuits and jelly/jam for breakfast, so it's safe to say I've had a lot of different biscuits in my life. These are honestly some of the best biscuits I've ever had. The rosemary one was so good y'all! The rosemary mixes so well with the flaky biscuit and gives it that extra little kick of flavor. I have been to Dose Coffee & Tea no less than 10 times and so it is sad I am just now writing a review. Here are a few reasons why I come back again and again: The baristas are always friendly and really nice, the location is convenient for me to drop by on the way to work, the ambiance is comfortable and clean and of course their coffee and baked goods are excellent. Their coffee is consistently good and brewed well. I pretty much always always order the same drink (Large nonfat latte with lavender honey syrup) and it always hits the spot. Occasionally I've gotten their baked goods which also are fresh and never disappoint. I've gotten some sort of cinnamon scone and a blueberry muffin and these were great. The only reason I give them 4 stars instead of a 5 is that I feel like they could always use one more person working in the mornings as the line can get a bit long depending on the time and the morning. This is by far one of the best coffee shops in Nashville. The lattes are on point and you can really taste the good quality in the beans. I'm not typically a scones person, but the sour cherry scone looked too good to resist. It has a delicious sweetness and the bread was very moist and fresh. I love the coffee and food here but I won't be coming back anymore. The past several times I've had to wait 40+ minutes. Even when I order 30 minutes in advance, our plain drip coffee and iced coffee order is still not ready for another 20 minutes after the time it says it will be ready (almost an hour total). You would think they have one single person running the whole operation. If you have 40-60 minutes to wait for coffee or breakfast and no chance of finding an open table to sit down, this is your place. It's good, but not worth wasting half my morning. read more

Dose has been my constant companion through COVID. Their health and safety protocols are excellent, and the staff are just as friendly and helpful as ever. They introduced online ordering when they had to stop dine-in service, and they so quickly and smoothly adapted to the change. I go more often than my budget would prefer, but I'm so glad Dose has been able to stay open through most of the pandemic. Man I wish I could drag myself out of bed earlier in the mornings because I adore Dose! The coffee is fantastic, very rich and strong, just the jolt I need to get me going (they have flavors if you like the sweeter variety) and their pots of tea are out of this world! This place has decent fancy coffee and you can expect to pay ~$10 for a large fancy drink with tip and tax. The WORST part of this coffee shop is definitely the crazy guy who owns the liquor store next door who makes it his whole life goal to bar people from even stopping in the parking spots next to the coffee shop. Like he will leave his shop and barge into the coffee shop just to yell at whoever dares to use up his many parking spots that are all extremely empty on a Tuesday morning at 8am. In addition to avocado, the sourdough toast is also topped with feta, parsely, soft boiled egg and hot sauce. It is a really delicious mix of varying flavors and textures. My usual order also includes a iced milk tea which is essentially an earl gray latte. This drink comes slightly sweetened and can be made with any of the milk options. The banana was better overall, but only because the zucchini one really wanted to be toasted and buttered; it was basically just zucchini bread in a muffin shape. The cold brew was solid. I'm really glad Dose finally got a new sign. They were aose for a minute. If Dose had better parking, I would be here much more regularly. I come to Dose for the food and to read The New Yorker... the coffee is a bit pricey for a plain coffee kinda person. They have an awesome selection of muffins and scones that are more unique then your typical coffee shops. Like rosewater and pistachio unique or lemon yogurt muffins unique. All for a reasonable price (about $3.50 and under). If you are looking for savory, you have a selection of breast fast bagels and biscuits. I tried the spicy egg sandwich today which is a combo of provolone, turkey, tomato and fried egg on an Everything bagel (from bare naked bagels I think). Hot sauce came on the side.
