This place actually knows how to brew a proper shot of espresso and the bean they use is perfect. The beverage as served is rich, with a creamy crème. They use a nice large ceramic latte cup that holds the heat quite well. Exquisite latte art is included. Finally, a latte in Nashville that tastes like coffee, not milk. The vibe here is sort of industrial and business meetings kind of place. Lots of open lap tops and other serious looking stuff going on. There is a pair of vintage speakers high up on a shelf that sound great. No brand name on them though, the grills have been removed. read more

The Avo toast was amazing! Not only did it look delicious but it was DELICIOUS! The ambience was nice and chill, maybe because it's a Monday. Let's seeee my husband got the burrito per the barista recommendation and he loved it! He's usually picky but this made it to his list. And my latte was perfect! I'm usually a starbys girl but this latte with vanilla bean syrup was perfect! We finished every crumb on the plate lol! The service was great! It was our first time there and the barista was helpful on helping us pick what we wanted. Will be back again! read more

The thing with any great coffee shop starts with people. The people who work at Dose are kind, warm hearted, always quick with a good word and a smile. The coffee's the best in the Nashville area and the food is wonderful. I live in the Village and I'm so grateful to have such an absolutely wonderful place near home. The Curried Chickpea Wrap is one of my faves but all the selections on the menu are great. I love the space as well; they play good music along with the atmosphere being relaxed and chill. Best kept secret in Old Hickory unless you are in on it! Everything I have tried here iso er the top good. The workers here are among the best in the greater Nashville area. The vibe is industrial but friendly. They have responsibility sourced coffees and teas, among other things. I just ordered their drink special-Pink Pony Club-pictured. read more

Dose is a cozy place to either work remote/study or start your day off the caffeinated way. I didn't order any food, but they offer a full breakfast and lunch menu, and some pastries that looked great. If you're a coffee nerd they have equipment and accessories for purchase to work with your home-brewing needs. Plus, a variety of roasters as well as their own beans. I went with a pourover from Mexico, as the high quality grinder on the counter and auto pourover machines (pourovers can be hit or miss at shops due to variables) intrigued me. I was glad I did. The coffee shined as it cooled down a little bit. I am definitely going to make this my go to spot when I am town. read more

This coffee shop was 3 minutes from my Airbnb, and what a gem! Really great vibes, as soon as you walk. They have different table sizes, for different party sizes. We ordered the Rosemary breakfast sandwich and it was delicious!! I don't know what it's called, but the sauce it had was unique but also very tasty! Stopped by Dose on Hadley Ave and overall had a really nice experience. The guy who took our order was super chill and helpful, and the ladies who brought out our food were kind and welcoming. The food itself was really good--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Prices were on the higher side, but honestly, it felt worth it for what we got. The only downside was the barista who made our drinks. They got our order wrong the first time, and when we asked for a fix, they didn't seem too happy about it. Still, the food and most of the staff made the visit enjoyable. read more

Dose is a Nashville staple filled with plenty of regulars. You have the option to dine in or order to go. We chose to dine in and were seated quickly. Our coffee and food came out quickly. I had The Barcelona- an on top cold brew with salted foam and my partner had the espresso sidecar which consisted of an espresso and macchiato for $4 which is not a bad price. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. The rosemary biscuit was the highlight- had all the flavors of Thanksgiving. The only downside was it can get a little loud and echoey inside. Opens at 7 am which I appreciate since I wake up early naturally. We went here with zero expectations and were pleasantly surprised. The biscuits are great and the breakfast poutine was perfectly cheesy and herbaceous with a light brown gravy to pull it all together. Excited to have this coffee shop in the community. I have gone several times since they have opened. This was previously the burger company but not it's been turned into a bright, modern, coffee shop that you would be happy to work, study, or just hang out with folks. The service was quick and the employees or nice and helpful. I got the egg and cheese biscuits and added ham. Which this was probably the best biscuit sandwich I had ever had. They also have vegan/vegetarian meat options which is a plus! My friend got the rosemary biscuit and my wife got the veggie bagel. Love the bright atmosphere with natural light and plants! My husband always adds ham to his biscuit to elevate to perfecting. I'll start on a positive....The staff is super nice, coffee is great, and the atmosphere is nothing but welcoming. HOWEVER. The food is EXTREMELY expensive for how bad it is. I've been here multiple times and never once actually enjoyed a meal here. Their food like watching a movie you really want to like, but it just isn't very good no matter how hard you try to enjoy it. I hate to be the person who leaves a negative review. Especially, since everything else besides the food is stellar. I don't want somebody else paying an arm and a leg for food that is completely lack luster for its price.
