As a starter, we went with their recommendation for appetizer, chicken chettinad, tender chicken coated in a unique spice mixture. If you're a fan of some serious spicy food, this is for you. Even with the many choices in biryanis, we went with the traditional Hyderabadi dum. It's bone in chicken slow cooked with layers of spices, herbs, onions, ghee, and basmati rice. Totally hit the spot with a nice heat. To soothe our palate after all the heat, we shared a creamy dal makhani and 2 naan. This was all enough to share for 4 people and would be back to try new things. Service was friendly with few moments of confusion and we never did get one of the sides we wanted. As an example , the goat curry looked generous but had just 4 small, bony pieces for $32 -- that's $8 a piece with barely any meat to eat on them. About 80% oily gravy and only 20% goat meat I would guess! Our "spinach jalapeno paneer curry" was mostly palak with some jalapeño mashed in and very few pieces of paneer! Then there's the $44 vegetarian appetizer platter - an exorbitant price for just 8 pieces total, no chutney included. Beautiful plating, but the portions and the value just aren't there. I usually order these items: - Tandoori Chicken - Chicken Vindaloo (cooked w/potatoes) - Salmon Curry (in a tomato sauce with Indian spices) - Garlic Naan (tons of garlic bits which I love) All dishes come with Basmati rice. They pack the raw diced onions and green chili and a slice of lemon separately. Make sure to add them to the dishes. The onion offers a sweet crunch with the sauce. My superpower is that I can eat tons of garlic and onion and it doesn't affect my breath. Lol. The food always satisfies. I plan to try some of their many vegan dishes next time I order.
