    Veg thali

Even for a weekday (Tuesday) this place had await, that tells you a little about the quality and authentic Indian dhaba food of this place. I've heard about it and we loved the Thalis we tried. Can't wait go back and try the other dishes.

Food and service are good and fast. Tried Raj kachori, Bedmi aloo puri, Jal jeera and Paneer sizzler Definitely going back to try thali.

On a Friday evening after work commitments we decided to go for a stroll and it started getting stormy with rains. We had an urge to have something chatpat and we decided to goto Chatpati Delhi. We had a wait of 10 mins and got our table. The interiors are bright and very well lighted. The staff is really good and polite. They did take all our orders well. The food was pretty good. I liked the chicken kheema roll as my fav

Service and ambiance is great. I loved the dahi puri and vada pav. I do think the pav could have used a little more spice but it was tasty.

The food was absolutely delicious--full of authentic flavors and perfectly balanced spices. Every bite reminded me of real Delhi street food. You can tell everything is made fresh, and the taste really stands out. Definitely one of the best places I've tried!

    Adrak 'claimed' chai

We recently visited this new restaurant and have to admit, 75% of the tables were occupied when we arrived! We could feel the excitement in the air -- it's clearly popular, and the crowd was a good sign. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made for a great first impression. Unfortunately, while the atmosphere and service was good, the food didn't quite live up to the hype. I had read good reviews about this restaurant, so I personally was expecting something special more like Delhi style but we were left feeling a bit disappointed. I'm a Chai connoisseur, so definitely had to order that especially when the menu read 'Adrak ki Chai'. Guess what, the chai didn't have any adrak flavor AT ALL!! I immediately let the server know and was told maybe it lacked flavor since it was prepared long back. I appreciate the honesty but seriously? They offered to get me a coffee instead at no additional cost. Next up, Vada-Pav. 10/10 marks for the presentation but lacked flavor. The churi was fridge cold and so was the mirchi. Sev Puri Dahi Puri - This was good. I would give a 7/10. Overall, the quality just didn't match the excitement around the restaurant. The 'chatpati' part was missing. Hopefully, they can improve their dishes and live up to the potential of being a Delhi restaurant.

Just off rt 27, this place is different from your typical Indian restaurant There were many Delhi chaat options to choose from as well as some bigger menu items and I appreciated the change from standard Indian restaurant fare My family shared a thali and paneer sizzler and it was really nice having a Mumbai style sizzler which we typically have only seen in india Would coke back to try out their other chart options but probably wouldn't get thali again

Chatpati Delhi is the definition of looks can be deceiving. It is located in an unassuming strip mall on Route 27 in Franklin Park. It is easy to drive by and not even notice but let me tell you, you don't want to. Chatpati Delhi absolutely has the best Indian street food and snacks of any restaurant I have been to in New Jersey. I ordered the Cheese Parantha which came with Curry Sauce & Creamy Sauce, Gulab Falooda, Paneer Bhatti Masala and Rasmalai. Every single dish was absolutely delicious, savory, aromatic, spicy and perfectly seasoned. The dessert was deliciously sweet. Sravya was a wonderfully attentive, personable & friendly waitress. This is the best Indian restaurant I have been to in New Jersey! Very quirky decor on the walls, lively atmosphere inside, nice and cozy atmosphere.

Butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, mango smoothie

I just moved into the area so I decided to order for pick up using UberEats. Food was ready when we got there and packaged really well to keep warm and spill-free. The food itself was tasty. Portions are decent. We ordered two chicken dishes and only received one small container of rice. What we ordered: - Butter Chicken - Chicken Tikka Masala - Garlic Naan - Mango Smoothie We ordered the Mango Smoothie thinking it was like a Mango Lassi we've had other places but it didn't taste like it so I don't think it was. It also had chunks of maybe candy or dried fruit in there? All in all we would order from here again since it's local and the service was good.

Third visit and the hunger was satisfied. Ofcourse there is scope for improvement - the paneer sizzler was served on broken plate !! Imagine that Take out is not good so save your money there - first time also take out was messy and this time also we had brown rabdi which was just diluted milk .. it's supposed to be thick like they have in showcase in the shop. Hopefully someone gets it some day n start making improvements !!

NJ has some great desi spots and chapati Delhi is definitely one of them. Their chaat is so authentic and delicious and all the items we ordered were so good. They definitely push the drinks when you first order but drinks were also delicious - the jal Jeera soda was great! The meal was kind of on the pricier side but I would definitely have it again since this was great!

    Golgappe

Chatpati Delhi in Frankli Park has such a great variety of Indian food and the service is honestly one of the best parts. The staff are super friendly and attentive but still give you space to enjoy your meal, and they even took the time to explain the dishes since it was our first visit. We tried their popular drinks, Jal Jeera Soda and Aam Ka Panna. The soda was a little too sweet and heavy for us, and the panna was okay, but it was fun to try something new. The Golgappe appetizer was amazing, crispy, flavorful, and really fun to eat. For mains, we got Bedmi Aloo Puri with chickpeas curry, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Onion Kulcha, and rice. The puris were huge and perfect with the curry, the Butter Chicken was rich and not too salty, and the Tikka Masala was tasty but not quite spicy enough for us. The portions were generous, the food was delicious, and overall it felt worth the price. The ambiance is nice and clean, the dining tables are spotless, and they also have a big parking lot to accommodate their customers. We'll definitely come back because both the food and the warm, welcoming service made the experience so enjoyable.

    Paneer Sizzler

A small cafe style restaurant with Delicious food, great service, friendly owner/staff. Menu has lot of street food items, some curries and Thali(platter options) as well. We went on Sunday afternoon, had to wait for 15-20 mins to get seated. Parking can be tight here but you can park in adjacent parking lot. We had buttermilk, masala chai, cold coffee for drinks, paneer sizzler, roomali roti and veg kheema, dahi-bhalle, sev puri dahi puri, bedmi puri to eat and falooda, malpua-rabdri for desserts . Drinks and desserts were standard but Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I'd recommend to anyone to try anything on the menu and you won't be disappointed!

The main course that we ordered was not as appealing as the appetizers. The Jaipuri malai kofta tomato curry was poured tableside by the attentive staff and went well with the freshly baked garlic naan but the kofta itself was not memorable. The serrano and lemongrass mocktail tasted like a spicy margarita and was well crafted. The textures of gulab had a stunning presentation but only the small scoop of gulab jamun ice cream was a standout as the rest of the components were mostly for show. When I travel to NY/NJ, I hope for a better tasting Indian food because of larger Indian population and popular destinations. We tried several dishes - peanut masala (was average); tempura cauliflower type veg appetizer (was not good at all - no taste), paneer app (was okay, nothing wow about it), chicken 65 was average too, noorjahan chicken app was good. But a side of chutney would have helped. My colleagues loved the smoked corn soup, but found eating corn cob quite weird. We had some variety of biryani too - veg biryani was good. Chicken biryani was just okay. While mutton biryani was good too. Service was good overall. I could see cocktails had pretty good presentation. Kulfi was liked by most of the colleagues. Moong dal halwa was good and presented differently. Was happy to see Caymus on the wine list, and enjoyed that. Overall good for one time visit.
