Short version: Extremely polite and treated our property with respect. Price was very fair for the service offered and they were incredibly responsive. Long version: Our community of 20 townhomes was in a bind because Waste Management hasn't been able to pick up trash for two weeks. We put out a call-to-arms on Yelp because the trash had piled up around the dumpster and everyone was storing their trash. Alexis responded immediately and gave us a price quote based on the picture I sent. We actually ended up paying them a lot more because we ended up having them collect all the extra trash from our property. They cleaned up and swept, and were extremely polite and careful. I would give five stars for the work done, one star for the communication. Overall three stars because the work was done more affordably despite the communication. I booked this company based on their estimate that the removal would cost $250. I sent two photos showing the items to be removed, and the owner didn't say anything about it other than to give me a $250 estimate. However when he arrives, he obviously sees everything that needs to be loaded, but doesn't say anything about any price increase. Instead he goes ahead and starts loading items into his truck bed, and only after he fills one load does he mention any price increase. He says that because it'll take two loads, he'll charge $200 for one load, then $200 for the next. Honestly I felt scammed because he quoted us $250 for the entire job with no qualifications about how many loads it would take. My husband felt hemmed in at this point because he already has one load. If we don't agree he might not come back the next day and leave us with a half finished job that we would have to pay someone else to finish. So he comes Back the next day and the total is $400, $150 more than what was quoted. It's seriously bad business to quote one price, then change the terms halfway through. Especially after he's already seen the amount of things that need to get hauled away, and doesn't say anything immediately upon arriving. Other companies I spoke with gave very precise estimates like - one person said they couldn't get a sense of the amount of items based on the pictures and would need to come by in person to provide an accurate estimate. Other people provided estimates by load, & said that if it took more than 1 load than they'd charge per load. Other people gave estimates by volume. Anyways, disappointing about the communication but the owner still hauled our trash away at a somewhat affordable price. read more
