First time here, most likely last time as well. I understand most food here is cooked to order but the wait seemed a bit longer than most other Mexican restaurants. The waitress should be more attentive and at least have some personality. Now the food was the most disappointing part. Chips and Salsa is not free, I get it this economy. But had an order of queso on the side. Queso is normally runny but this queso was more watery. Had a carne asada burrito. It should be called a rice burrito with some carne asada. The carne asada was tough and overcooked and had some very chewy pieces mixed jOverall not a very good first time experience. read more

I brought my mom who grew up in SLP. The first thing we noticed was the outline of the state of San Luis Potosí on the menu. The owner, Norma, was super friendly and spoke with us about her heritage. We had enchiladas potosinas and tacos rojos, these are authentic dishes that can't be found anywhere else in Nashville! All of the food is made from scratch, we heard the mole is made daily, don't miss weekends for pozole and menudo which are special menu items. It's a hike from Nashville but worth the drive. read more

The food is soo good! I eat it almost every weekend especially the Mexican Tacos, they got great taste between spicy and savory. The service has well, great service they're really kind. And for the ambiance is nice lots of friendly people. read more

If I could leave them a zero I would, I just got off the phone with them trying to order three Gorditas and I asked what came on there and and I wanted to add sour cream lettuce she said dollar extra for each.. so I told her no I would just get it plain. so she said no bye that was so rude. I was excited to give this place a chance because I love Gorditas. Called back no answer, I definitely wouldn't recommend rude customer service. read more

Delicious after a second visit! Not much more to add besides new photos and as always friendly service. read more

Decided to spend the week over at the lake and found this spot about 2 miles from our RV park. It was ridiculously good. In an area completely rich in different Mexican options this place absolutely stands far out in front of others. First, we ordered more food than God intended. But might as well sample the menu while you sit waterfront at a lake built by the corps of engineers...Murica. Second, all of it was delicious. I think the gorditas stood out above everything else. They were killer. The tacos were also good, but all the other stuff was next level. The surprise "wow" factor were the barbacoa fries. Not traditional Mexican fare, but hot damn they were amazing. Last, I feel like I need to fast today. Maybe go for a walk? Still full. read more

Dos Carnales - a motorhome parked on the side of the road - Mexican Near Me - Antioch, Tennessee

Just love the people who work there was just amazing amazing family that owns it the food is amazing just a real good experience with them

Y'all..... I didn't even make it all the way home and the stuff fries were gone! They were barbacoa stuffed fries... it was too hard driving with that smell. Mind you I got lost and had to pull up the GPS lol! The limon-cucumber was perfect. Made me ready for the sun. But what I wasn't ready for oh, were those enchiladas! Y'all.... Dos Carnales woke up and chose SMOKE! They obviously Said f@#k your diet! These people ain't playing not a 1 game with y'all. Now. Not today. Not this restaurant! 1st of all... I thought I was back in Southern Cali when I walked in! All they needed was the mural of a highly respected community leader up on the wall. But forget all of that.. let's move to the food. Y'all... I understand certain ethnic restaurants have to cater to the money Bringers and Spenders. Meaning, little to no seasonings. NOT THIS PLACE!!!! Oooooooooo wee! Y'all, that darn enchilada was so freaking good! And the beans... Those beans were actually seasoned! OMG! The whole freaking plate was delicious! And I wasn't even on that Devil's lettuce! Homie needs to be slapped that food was too good! He's definitely looking for a wife in Antioch! And if he keeps cooking like that, he'll probably have about five! Jesus this food was so good! And it was seasoned... Perfectly! Y'all know I have a new favorite now. And I'm so embarrassed I literally have to GPS how to get there. I'm not familiar with the southern part of Antioch. But for this place, I'll learn! Now don't go up in here asking for no gluten free, vegan, tofu and sprout options. Just let these people be great at what they do! And that's keeping me fat and happy. We will not be gentrifying this establishment. PERIOD. Man those enchiladas were stupid good... we are definitely going to have to stick to the gym on Saturday mornings now. But it's well worth it! read more

Restaurant wasn't that clean I had a michelada, it was salty My husband ordered carnitas, he couldn't eat it Beans salty and waiter didn't know anything about the menu A total fail read more

Superb!!! If you're looking for authentic food, come here. I actually felt like I was in Mexico inside the restaurant. Mexican music and no English..including the customers. LOL Of course the staff spoke some English. We got the guacamole and fresh, HOT, homemade chips. Phenomenal. I got the flautas dish, and they were the best flautas I've had in a long time. Your dishes are made to order so everything is fresh. I have a photo of the flautas. I am a Texas snob when it comes to authentic Mexican food, and I highly recommend trying this place if you are passing through. read more

The food was great. The waitress was very nice. Once we got past the language barriers, it was good. I will return.

We are from Texas so we have Mexican restaurants everywhere. This place was one of the best places we've eaten at! The birria tacos were really flavorful. The carnitas bowl was off the charts. It was quick and super friendly service. I am going to pack them in my camper and take them home with me!! read more

Prices are so high and they skimp you on portions. Go across the street to a good Mexican restaurant.

Good food only needs to change the servers there was no coming back to the tables to see if anything else was needed nor a greeting.

We have all been going through so much with this pandemic. A lot of us are concerned about our loved ones. I'm from Texas and haven't had much luck in Nashville finding a place that really tastes like home. Dos Carnales, is exactly that. We live just down the road and I can't believe it's taken so long to try it out. I'd love to put into words everything that it made me feel. The ladies there were so kind and professional. The food took me back to my childhood in Texas. The pastor was perfect! The queso, tasted just like the one at my favorite restaurant back in Texas. We will be ordering from here as often as we can! There is just something so special about being reminded of home. read more

The poor service & every thing had to much oli the rice had no flavor also the beans were salty but if yall like that please do come

I've lived in Antioch for five months and regret not finding this place sooner. Expansive menu, everything is delicious. Super nice people and allergen friendly. Tortillas made in house and soooo good. Will be back. A lot... read more

Crazy good authentic Mexican food with the friendliest staff. Feels like you're in a little market in Mexico.

The last couple times I've been here I have been so disappointed. I ordered a Chile rellenos plate. The rice and beans are so bland. The pepper was still crunchy and there was a big chunk of unmelted cheese. I couldn't even eat it. Had to order food from somewhere else. read more

I decided I NEEDED gorditas! As a misplaced Texan I realize that is difficult here. The struggle is real. I googled gorditas and found this spot. Man, I'm so happy I did! Hubs and I went today and the small restaurant was fillled to capacity. We got a table and placed our order. He got a gordita and two tacos all with carnitas. I got a barbacoa gordita and two lengua tacos. Food is cooked to order so there is a short wait. Whilst waiting for our main dishes we were treated to chips and salsa both freshly made. And when I say fresh I mean the chips were from in-house made tortillas and delivered to us piping hot. Sublime! Late lunch arrives and come with two bottles of sauces. Our server told us one was quite hot and she wasn't joking. But it was so tasty and I'll use it in simple micro dots. The gorditas now have my heart. The barbacoa was melt in the mouth perfection as was the lengua. And mind you, the tortillas were crisped to hold up to the filling. No limp biscuit here. Forgot to mention we also ordered a side of guacamole.... Oh my stars! Chunky, with pieces of tomato and cilantro! Divine! Go support these two brothers from SLP! You will not be disappointed. The love is in the food and you can taste it. read more

My friends and I went here randomly only because it was convenient to where we were, and we were not expecting much from our experience. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Seriously, the best Mexican food I've had since I've been in Nashville and the vibe is really cool too.. kinda old school hip hop looking (hard to explain). Bar taco who? The street style al pastor and chorizo tacos were delicious, but even better were the cactus tacos and the pork Rhine tacos... I didn't even know those were a thing! The chips were freshly made and still hot. The salsa and queso, super fresh! Service was personable and fast. Do yourself a favor and check out this little whole in the wall. You will be happy you did! read more

This place is awesome. It's smaller, but has an open kitchen with modern black and red decor. The open kitchen shows the love they put in to the hand made tortillas and sopes. The tacos were amazing! Stopped in on Saturday for a quick bite. Reviews looked good online. We ordered Chips & Salsa, Pico de gallo, steak Nachos. Steak nachos was terrible. The enchiladas potosinas are absolutely amazing. A must try. The rice and beans are really really good. I really like the beans but sometimes I just need to add a touch more salt, no big deal. The mole they make is really good, highly suggested. Chips come out nice and hot with some decent salsa and 2 side salsas to add heat. I eat a lot of Mexican and the food here is just different in a good way. They make the tortillas when you order your food and play good music. Usually a football/soccer match will be on, I love this. read more

What a convenient time for all of us that they're closed on Tuesday! Such a great decision to close on a weekday, not Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, but Tuesday! Such a smart decision that helps prevent COVID and fills me with great tasting food, such a great restaurant! I would have come here but unfortunately I came on Tuesday when they are closed. Unfortunately I will not be trying this location in the future. Why close on a Tuesday why? On top of this, there is no indication of this anywhere other than the front door of the store, so if you drove a half hour like I did to try this you're screwed. read more

I am so thankful that there is a great taco Mexican restaurant so close to my house and not just taco trucks. This is a small restaurant with big flavors that do not disappoint. Driving up to the place I didn't know what to expect. It's on a small building next to a mini-mart and a dollar general, and you're greeted by a sign saying no public restrooms...but do not let any of that stop you from experiencing some of the best street tacos in Nashville. The atmosphere inside is hip and surprisingly nice and the food is easily 10 out of 10!!! I amba huge fan of tacos al pastor, and Dos Carnales has the best I've ever had. The price point is also great. Great food that won't break the bank. The service is also amazing. They just gained some regulars for sure. read more
