I have tried numerous times to get my yard waste picked up. It's been three weeks and I've contacted three separate times requesting it be picked up, each time assured it would be. The yard pickup crew has come down our road three times in one day and completely ignored our trash, as well as my neighbors across the street. I have had my message forwarded to managers and still cannot get yard waste disposal services at my house even though the county charges me for it. Regular trash pickup is inconsistent too. They will sometimes not show up at all on their scheduled day, and always come at different times. Avoid this company if you can.

It is easy to find and convenient to drop off many things you wish to dispose of that you cannot just leave with your weekly trash. They accept large appliances (ie:washers), car batteries, cardboard, household electronics, tires, oil and gasoline, aluminum cans and mixed paper. They have several different containers to dispose of each different item. Simply drive up to the area and then you place it inside. This location is staffed during daytime hours and can assist with directions on what goes where, and answer questions. There is also a swap shop that you can place items for others to take ownership of if you wish to do so. Either way, here is where you can dispose of many old items you cannot just put out in your trash. Easy to find, and easy to use.

It's directly across the road from Awendaw Fire House. The lot has about eight different containers that you can fill with various types of hazardous waste. I told him what I was discarding and he said just to leave it on his table and he would take care of it for me. He joked with me a little and I thanked him. I was in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. I didn't even get this warm of a welcome in Knightsville. Top-notch customer service in a place I wasn't expecting it, especially these days.
