Doral Refining is the only place I work with in regards to selling precious metals. I fully agree with their work ethic and tenacity to keep a good reputation. In an industry that has otherwise taken a big leap downwards, Doral has never dipped below par or sacrificed loosing the wonderful reputation they have earned over the last 41 years. Everyone who works at Doral is generous with their time on educating why we get paid what we do for our material. What I like most is that they are thoughtful about what they buy. These folks don't just sit there and buy everything and anything that comes across their table...if they know a piece of jewelry is worth more in the aesthetics than the metal, they will tell you and offer you, if they can, a place or person who will buy the piece! Also, for anyone saying Doral was overbid, chances are the place that bought for higher is holding on to the metal they buy and selling later as the market rises (that's called speculating, and Doral doesn't have any time for that kind of nonsense). With a direct buyer and seller of precious metals, and a full service face-to-face business, selling metals all over the US, this company is amazing at what they do. They own and operate their OWN refinery...that is key in this kind of industry.
Moving on, I also like that they are licensed by the EPA for all their refining practices. I have a few friends in the Dental industry who really dislike these other "fly by night" companies coming in their offices without any form of ID or EPA licensing. Why is this important? Well it helps protect against the spread of disease(s) or illness along with refining under strict guidelines that doesn't compromise the environment. Doral is fantastic at covering every avenue of need. Many, many DDS/DMD communities around the nation use Doral. In fact, my Dentist uses them! If you are a DDS/DMD, please make sure the company you are going through offers payment upfront as well as a 2nd check after the melt, has EPA ID and has proper accreditation for their business. If they don't, chances are they are only sending their metals to a melt house and/or overseas and that is severely hurting our dollar as well as the industry as a whole. Remember: You are SAFE with DORAL :)
Whay are you safe with Doral? Well, Doral is the kind of company that, at the end of the day, deals with the best. They take pride in who they are and who they do business with. They look at all their clients and think about what they may do to their reputation if they partner with them-it is akin to surrounding yourself with good people. Whether it be a Dental office or a charity, a pawn shop or a jeweler, Doral treats everyone like family because that's just what they are-family. This is a family business and one hell of a great group of people. I'm happy to know them!
Now, if you are interested in selling anything with a precious metals content, call Doral up. They will be happy to send someone who lives in your State or area out to meet with you and talk you through how a REAL refiner does their work. These reps are hired directly from Doral and work only for Doral. There are no gimmicks, shell games, strange bribes, higher % payouts...which for anyone wondering about how a company can pay higher than something is worth: They can't. It just means they are withholding a large amount for themselves until they have enough of a squeeze that they start paying (closer) to what the stuff is worth. Or they are "seeding" which means they are paying higher upfront and then lower each time they do business from then on. But unlike that kind of cruddy business, Doral reps are responsible, ethical and carry on a 41 year long tradition that is very impressive. They will treat you the way you'd hope to be treated. Again, this industry has had a bad drop in responsible and ethical people since the gold market spiked, but through it all, Doral has been the leader in this business since 1972. The payout is always the highest, but that is the easy part for them. Look at what they really work for: BBB A+ rating for 10 YEARS, American Dental Association, invited to ALL State and National Dental Meetings, EPA licensing, etc, etc, etc.
The moral of the story: DON'T settle for the crappy "middleman" or ".com" or "refiner" out there...go with the good guys, the end of the line. Go with DORAL REFINING! read more
