My mom sent my husband here with some chains and watches she needed repaired. He went and the price was right and they were repaired wonderfully. My husband bought a watch also a good price he is very happy. We all went together to bring more repairs this weekend. JEWELER IMPROPERLY INSTALLED REPLACEMENT BATTERY, RUINING WATCH. He failed to properly install moisture gasket in its groove, and the watch stopped running two days after installation because I had just gone swimming. Watch is an Timex ironman triathlon, water resistant up to 200 m. When I took it to another jeweler to see if the wrong battery had been put in, he showed me how the gasket was sticking out after opening the back of the watch. So I had to buy a new watch. read more

Another fine experience at Ritz Jewelers in Oceanside. The owner, Anmol Gandhi, is a pleasure to deal with. He's knowledgeable, honest, and "knows his stuff" when it comes to giving you a fair price when buying your no longer wanted pieces of gold or silver. A competitor of his in the same town was such a wise-guy, thinking I wouldn't know the true value of what I was about to sell, gave me an estimate of the jewelry's worth -- exactly HALF - can you believe it?!!! I will never go to Atlantic Ave. for even so much as a battery! As we say in Italian -- "gonef" (translated to 'thief'). Don't like sales people or store owners who think they can fool you, especially when it comes to MONEY. I have directed so many friends to Ritz Jewelers on Long Beach Road in the Marshalls/Kohls/Wells Fargo shopping center. The proof of the pudding is that the store always has customers coming and going with a smile, happy when they arrive and leave. I have had two original pieces made here (earrings, necklace) as well as several pieces repaired. The owner listens to what you want and does careful work, and the prices are very reasonable. I am quite upset about the reviewer who called the owner racist. He has always been pleasant to all customers of any demographic when I am in the store, and I have been told that he is an accommodating, generous boss. Other jewelers had offered to replace it, but for a high price. He gave me an excellent price for the new gem, and i am very happy with it, because it is lovely. This is the only jewelry store that my husband and I use and we've been using it for over 12 years. The owner is such a nice guy and he's so honest! My engagement ring literally appraised at double of what he charged my husband for it. Not to mention, whenever I have something that is loose (my earring which is several years old was loose and wouldn't close) he is able to fix it on the spot usually and doesn't charge me. He gave me the money back for the cost of the work done at his store, as well as, half of the cost for me to have it restored by another jeweler. He is understanding and fair to deal with. read more

I REALLY DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO GIVE ONE STAR!!! I brought my Movado watch in to be repaired. I needed a new crown. I was given my "repaired" watch back with a different color crown. My watch had a black crown which I had shown them when I brought the watch in. They told me that the black crown is no longer available. I believed them. The next day the crown that they replaced came off and I went back to the store and wanted a refund. I was told they don't issue refunds for repairs. Then he said that he would repair and find a black crown at which time I said that yesterday I was informed that they don't make them anymore. They lied to me and would not give me my money back. Anyone that would even walk through the doors of this place please read this and think Again....... This is nowhere near a 4 star place this place is negative stars... Went to get a 5.4ct diamond bracelet repaired and have some solder work done to it to the claspe...The OWNER gave me a price told me it would be done on Friday today at 5-20-16 I dropped it off on 5-18-16... He said it would have to be lasered Bla Bla Bla for the pins on the bracelet so I told him yes..He said I needed 3 pins done... So being pro active I called on my lunch break today and spoke to a lady that works there and she said Oh your bracelet will be done after 3pm... Great.. Actually not great he calls me back at 1:30 pm and says hey John we have a big problem we have to repair 7 pins and your price that I gave you of $140 is going to be $300.. I'm like that's funny I looked at the same bracelet as you did two days ago and you showed me the 3 pins that needed to be replaced... Now it's 7... And $160 more... Wait it gets better.. He then tells me that a diamond is missing that's even funnier because the day I brought it in i took a picture of the bracelet with every DIAMOND in IT... WHEN I PUCJED IT UP HE SAID HE FOUND THE DIAMOND.... Wait it gets better then he tells me he doesn't want to work on it to come pick it up... Knowing that I needed this before the 21st of may... This place does not deserve to be in business he is not a business man he is a greedy person his place is a scam he is a pig... I warn anyone before going here he will do this to anyone he is hungry for your money trust me... He is not a good person... I promised him that I will let all my family and friends know not to ever go there... To top it off on last Fri I reffered a family friend to him to put a diamond bezel on a rolex he gives him a price goes to swap out the bezel and can't... Sends my friend away... Wait wait...
