I uh,,, I'm not about to go to the Catholic City and lie my teeth off. God, Jesus and Mama Mary will send me to the depths of hell if i said i had a good experience here even though i didnt. Lets see,, where to begin... Wurst and Frittes Pizza: It's not very good. I mean the sliced hot dog was pleasant. But the execution is just lazy. Sauced up foccacia bread with weak sauce. Totally forgettable. Caccio e Pepe: It's not good. It was a bit too saucy. The pepper was present, but the cheese was totally lost in translation. Wouldnt get it again. Beers were pretty good. I enjoyed they pilsner very much. Everything else is a wash. This place is definitely heavy on attracting americans. IPA, Blondes, Porters etc... pipe in some loud american music and they will for surely come. I didnt really quite enjoyed the food and drink here. Maybe to the farmer, real tree fitting, gun loving, igno, immigrant hating tourist,, but not me. Sorry,, im a bit more cultured than they are. Thank you for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!!!

Looking for beer? Just around the corner from the Trevi, is this craft beer bar serving up their beers on tap and other libations. The space is pretty big, with a busier seating area in the front followed by seating at the bar. There are more tables passing the bar if you're looking for a quieter experience. I came here for the first time last year and enjoyed a crisp pint of beer. I ordered their burger and wasn't all too impressed. I think it was just too thick and dry for my taste. When I returned this year, it was solely for drinks. They offer a cup of popcorn to enjoy with your beverage, yet it's always stale so I don't even bother. I wanted to try some of their seasonal beers like the ginger beer or their chocolate beer - but they're always out. Unfortunately they don't/can't update the menu so I didn't realize this until my second visit here. You can order their beers by the glass or even opt for a beer cocktail. I like being adventurous and tried their take on a White Russian. This cocktail had vodka, Kahlua and one of their flavored beers. It was actually enjoyable!

Good place to grab a beer near the Trevi Fountain. I had the Weiss beer. It was light and refreshing, perfect for a hot day. It was not too expensive, about €5 for a beer. Worth it to cool down!

This place was very mediocre. Drinks were average; I got an Aperol spritz and it wasn't any better than your regular one at any regular American bar. My sister got a flyer and every beer tasted watery but the reason why we decided to give a one star to this place is the pizza, we ordered an Italian pizza and what we got was flat bread and some toppings on it, no sauce and no cheese whatsoever. Very disappointing.

After exploring Rome, we were looking for somewhere to relax a bit and enjoy an adult beverage or…read moretwo. Open Baladin was on my list of the most popular bars in Rome on Yelp (in terms of number of reviews) and it was close to where we were at, so we made out way in the afternoon on a Friday. Ambiance (4/5): Open Baladin looks a lot different than your typical Roman establishment. Bright colors, quirky decor, and a beautiful bar area are some of the highlights here. We sat at a table as we wanted to avoid the bar stools (no back support so I've never been a fan). Service (3/5): Typical Italian service. Not terribly attentive or friendly but gets the job done. We had to track down our waiter once or twice to order a beer and close out but that's standard fare in Europe. Food (3/5): My partner in crime had a burger while I had a sandwich with proscuitto and cheese. Pretty much your typical Italian sandwich. Fresh and adequate. Though a bit overpriced. Drinks (4.5/5): This is the highlight. Open Baladin has a fantastic selection of beers including those that I would qualify outside of your typical run-of-the-mill. They have a Belgian beer section of the menu which is always an indication that a bar takes their beer seriously. And most interestingly, for me, they have grape beer . . . say what?! I had never heard of it either. Beer made with grapes, that's a first. While it's not something I would order often, I very much enjoyed trying something new and unique like this. And here I thought grapes were just used to make wine! If you're looking for a cool spot to grab a brew, with a fantastic beer list, and a different vibe than your typical Italian bar, make sure to check them out!

That being said, he wanted to try some beer bars during our time in Italy so we put a few on our agenda to check out. Open Baladin was one of these spots, and since we had some time before our dinner reservation we stopped here for some beer. Walking in, I was really impressed with the space - it's large with a combination of high tops and tables throughout the dining area. The back wall housed the bar which had bottles stacked up to the ceilings - this made for a really striking focal point. The color scheme was mostly dark woods and warm colors which fit well for being a beer bar. The menu had a large selection of beer, I decided to go with one of their holiday varieties which was quite good. They had a small food selection, and I specifically noticed they had a variety of homemade chips. These seemed like the ideal snack so I ordered some of their original variety which came with homemade ketchup. These were great - not greasy and the ketchup really made it something special. Service was good, everyone was friendly and overall we had a great experience at Open Baladin. Even if you're not the biggest beer drinker, there's enough variety to find something for most people, and the food shouldn't be overlooked.
