    Chocolate chip cookie

This coffee shop is located near the start of many of our bike rides. I stopped by this morning just to grab a sweet treat. They have a baked goods case at the counter. After you pay, it's self serve, which I liked since I could pick the exact cookie I wanted. I ordered just one of my favorites: a chocolate chip cookie. I didn't have a lot of expectation for it. But it turned out to be a nice one. It had a lot of chocolate chips and the cookie was of the soft kind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space inside is spacious and has a good amount of tables and seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I didn't get coffee this time, but will next time. It's a good location and convenient to stop by before and after rides. I've grabbed a coffee to keep me awake on my hour drive back home. It's also a good place to stop by after eating at any of the restaurants nearby.

Very cute coffee shop in a quaint town. I stop here for a breakfast sandwich every once in a while. The food options are pretty much limited to cookies, muffins, and paninis. I was surprised to see this doubles as a bike store; not sure the association there! But somehow, it didn't seem out of place. The coffee options are above average, and from producers that I'd never heard of. Lots of organic, hipster stuff; not something you find in Starbucks. Service was friendly; I'd definitely give it a shot again.

Doppio Bunny is a small, eclectic little coffee shop in The Plains, VA. It occupies the space formerly occupied by Happy Creek Coffee - which recently went out of business. As before - Doppio Bunny continues the partnership with Haymarket Bicycles - meaning that the existing bike shop in the building is still operating. I've been to the old Happy Creek Coffee many times (all 3 locations). Apparently, one of the former Happy Creek employees is the proprietor of Doppio Bunny. I've been in for the cold brew. It's a chilled, Nitro delivery system. As such, by default, they don't put ice in the cup, unless you ask for it. The largest cup they offer is 16 oz. I wish they offered a larger cup - so I could get some ice in there - without losing the volume of live-giving caffeine! The inside of the coffee shop does not look much different from the previous establishment. Good place to caffeinate, hang out, and get some work done! #DoppioBunny

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a cute coffee shop![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their own sauces are to be savor sip by sip. I order the Maple Cinnamon latte, Matcha and a plain latte it was unique and good quality coffee bean. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The customer service was great and the vibe as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you are not a coffee lover, they have fresh juices. Their orange juice felt like I had stepped next to an orange tree. Price is reasonable for the quality of the beans.

A cute little coffee shop in The Plains. Our first time coming here and we loved it! We got the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and the cordon bleu sandwich along with a coffee and fresh squeezed juice (citrus blast). Delicious!! Excellent service too.

    Decent cup o'java

BLUF: A nice place to stop in for a cup of coffee but the food wasn't anything special. Priices are fair. Smooth cup of java with nicely designed foam. Appealing for the eyes & taste buds. Breakfast sandwich tasted, felt, and looked like warmed over day old stuff. Hot (reheated) but soggy, dense. If I wanted reheated, I would have gone to a fast food joint. Chili was watery and sitting lonely in a warming pot. No fresh condiments like freshly grated cheese or peppers to top off my decent tasting but ordinary chili. I can understand why the cyclists might like stopping here (there aren't many other places to stop for one), but it wasn't worth the drive. Great quaint, rustic place to stop in for java if you're a local or a passing through non-local who needs to stretch the ol' legs. Hospitality rating when I walked in & ate in? A weak 5 outa 10. Minimally polite, disinterested in being hospitably helpful and difficult to engage in cafe-related interaction (for example, what do you recommend, do you have____? what's in the ______?). Now, I ate in with the main intent to see how others were greeted & what kind of service they received. Stark difference. I'm not wanting to say that this was color-related, but it sure seemed that way. Neither of the two young women who were there were especially friendly to me & one kinda looked at me as if I had crawled out of a spaceship. One other similar experience like this in Fredericksburg, VA. Would I go back? Maybe. Only to see whether my experience would be any better. Anyway, I don't want to leave this on a negative note. I support small biz, afterall, and this is a woman-owned small biz. This cafe location is cute. Coffee is smooth, not especially strong but tasty. Food will work if you're starving... or have ridden your bike for 100 miles. Try the cafe if you're passing through, but lower your expectations.

Doppio Bunny has taken over from the former Happy Creek Coffee and Tea at this location. The vibe remains the same cozy and homey. The delicious drinks, including the Valencian, are still available and as good as ever. However, they are no longer a completely gluten free cafe. They still offer a couple of gluten free items, but for the most part the menu is not gluten free. There are a variety of breakfast sandwiches on offer as well as a case of baked goods and the oatmeal bar. Lunch options are slightly more limited, with a few sandwich options and recently, some salads in the cooler. The liege waffles, a personal favorite, have not returned. Overall, still a great place for coffee and a quick bite, just no longer gluten free.

The food and drink are delicious!! Everything is made very quickly as well. I Definitely the cutest place for miles!!

So Worth It! Valencian is a Masterpiece with freshly zested orange peel ~ Yum!!

Doppio Bunny is a combined coffee and bicycle shop. They serve nice coffees with a limited number of pastries.

We had been to Red Truck Bakery before, but not recently so the exhibit was really a memory jog. The bakery staff were friendly and helpful, and not at all phased by our group of six. Each member of our party raved about their choices. We ate in the newly renovated upstairs level where we found several people enjoying brunch/lunch while working quietly on laptops. We love the new menu and the bright seating on both levels. We are going back today for more selections, though the sausage jalapeño scone is likely to be on everyone's list!

They weren't very busy when we got there, maybe about 4 tables sat. The menu looked quite nice, plenty of appetizing dishes to try. Service throughout was the issue though. We read reviews prior to coming here about the service being an issue, but we decided to give them a try anyway and we can say, the reviews are legit, they definitely need to work on service here!!! But the food was pretty darn good! Here are the positives - The food we tasted was pretty darn good! Their biscuit basket was nice, but the apple butter and the herbed butter in it were both amazing! Those biscuits were so darn good we saved one for dessert to enjoy with their apple butter. Their Grand Dad's Pastrami Sandwich was incredible! The pretzel bun was so soft and flavorful... then mixed with the mustard and their excellent corned beef and those perfectly caramelized onions and cheese - it made one heck of a great sandwich! The chips that came with the sandwich were on the dry/basic side, so they weren't worth the calories. The cole slaw was just 'ok' too. But the sandwich made up for those. Their tomato soup was made very nicely... definitely worth trying! Overall... there are so many options, so why come back? 2Kyles is right next to this place and they have been consistently very good, as we've been there a few times. Sorry, but until they fix their issues with delayed service, the kitchen lacking in food prep (we overheard the chef telling them many times about how to properly prepare dishes), and front of house - I doubt we'll return.

The waitress didn't mention it was $2 more for the chips and dip. I would have paid it anyway because that is the side I wanted, but I would have preferred to know that beforehand. Service was exactly how the other reviews stated, it wasn't all that good. I should have checked the reviews before coming. I wanted to like this place, but I was underwhelmed.
