I like the variety of stuff they have. They've never had the best customer service here but this time my family and I walked in with our 4yr old service dog because it said dogs were allowed at the door. They let us walk around and spend $150 on merchandise and after paying, we looked at glass figurines by the door. We were talking about which ones we wanted to come back for the next day as gifts to our parents and the cashier came up to us and asked us to please leave with our dog before her boss got mad at her. Not sure why it was ok for us to be there with him while we were shopping but not once we had already paid. Our dog btw was very well behaved and trained to be in social settings like that and will not turn any of his attention to anyone else in the store but us. Not to mention the false sign of dogs allowed on the door that made us come into the establishment, to begin with this time. I left angry and didn't think about it until was already on the road but I should have returned everything I bought.

I found some tie dyed sweat pants with the elastic cuffs and she got herself that hoody and opted for the transfer. I forwent the transfer because I thought having "juicy" emblazoned across my backside might not be the best thing for a straight white male. The gentleman manning the press was nice. He had a good sense of humor. I could tell he deals with picky tourists all day. He's a better man than I am. I wouldn't last 10 minutes doing what he does. The store is quite large and takes up most of a small shopping strip so there is a very large selection of tourist clothing and chotchkies to peruse.

The store really shines in its housewares section, with a great selection that felt like a mix of practical finds and unique pieces--almost like a bit of Seattle charm made its way to the coast. The ladies behind the counter were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made browsing even more enjoyable. Prices were low compared to the Goodwills we go to, and we had a great time digging through all the little treasures. It's the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time just exploring. Overall, we found Anchor Thrift to be a fun, friendly spot that we look forward to visiting again.

I could tell he's pretty proud of the store. We let him give us the run down of what they have and he was always near in case there was a question. There was a deal to buy three bars of soap and get to choose a free bar from a selection at the counter. Each bar was hand made and was between $12-14 each. Once again bear in mind this is a tourism heavy beach town plus NOTHING anywhere is cheap anymore. We did the soap deal plus a couple other things and got out of there. You very obviously felt proud of your professional business decision to accuse somebody with severe CPTSD, crippling anxiety, and ticks that are ESPECIALLY coaxed out of me when my brain and body feel any emotions that trigger my fight, flight, or freeze reactions. This is something that has become apart of what "normal" is for ME after enduring significant reoccurring traumatic events throughout my life. I do wish you open your heart and mind to considering allowing you and your staff members to open mindedness and the willingness to become a bit more educated on the 'what's?' 'why's?' and most importantly WHO you may mistake for a criminal. Hope you are better prepared for the future and I wish things were different... Marshalls it is...!
