Hot tip on getting in: send one person to check in at the front desk as early as you can in the morning to get your group added to the list because it's usually an hour to two hour wait for breakfast/brunch. While you're waiting, enjoy the Swedish delights in the gift shop, the enormous green lawn space and seating, walk around Sister Bay and of course admire the goats on the roof! Once you are in, enjoy the food, I'm never disappointed. Personally, I have to order the Swedish meatballs and Swedish pancakes combo every time to get a little bit of sweet and a little bit of savory and a full plate of delicious. I think it might be a little easier to get in for dinner and they have a great outdoor space for drinks, bites, and live music in the evenings! This is really a Sister Bay and Door County MUST stop. We knew the drill, so we put our names in at 8:30am to get a table for 6 at 10:45! Plenty of time to shop in town as well as watch the live goats grazing on the grass roof of the restaurant! Once seated, we enjoyed the Swedish meatballs, Swedish pancakes (with traditional lingonberries or Door County cherries, and a delicious warm cinnamon coffee cake. All of the food was served quickly, was amazing and in just the right amounts. We love the classic look of the restaurant as well as the cool Swedish themed gift shop attached.
