It came with a defective locking mechanism that never worked. We've been trying to get a new locking mechanism from HDW for over six months now, dating back to April 2025. The funny thing is, I've talked to three associates starting with Zara, then Amir and finally David. Zara (I believe the receptionist) who did all she could to get the warehouse to ship me the part. When that didn't happen, she put me in touch with Amir & David. When I got hold of David, he's made repeated promises to get me the replacement locking mechanism only to experience at least six false promises. As a woodworker, getting accurate glass dimensions is extremely important because even a small mistake can create problems during installation. When only about 70% of the work was done, they told me the job was "complete," even though basic things like door frames weren't installed. They just wanted their money so they could move on to the next project. They also don't keep their promises. They left trash, leftover food, and construction mess everywhere. They promised to haul away debris on the second day and then vanished completely. The owner, Jose, has a terrible attitude. Bottom line: they want your money without putting in the work. Reply to your comment Jose: There may be two sides to every story, but when many customers raise the same concerns, it's worth taking a closer look internally. Repeatedly responding to negative reviews by blaming or insulting customers instead of acknowledging issues only reinforces those concerns. This review reflects my actual experience. First I was quoted around $700 for a picture window for my attic only to have Art, the sales person, completely disappear. 5 months later when I reached back out, he quoted me double the price for the same window. I get that things cost more, but double? Art came out to measure the window (I had to give him my own ladder and flashlight which on one hand is totally fine but on the other makes one question the professionalism). It took another 4 weeks for the "head installer" to come out who I never saw or met (why are we measuring multiple times and why is Art measuring?) Then I received a shady invoice with no company letterhead that requested payment to the sales person's wife. When I asked how long it would take and if he could call the manufacturer in advance to get an estimate of time - he said no. So one has no idea how long it's going to take and you have to pay first to get an estimate on time. Then the sales person abruptly said he would pass on my project, assuming because he did not like my questions on time of install. I tried to call the office to talk to someone but no one ever answers.
