This is a fun place to hang out with friends. I went with a group of 9. There are TVs in each booth which is cool, as well as large screens throughout. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the layout was very well done in my opinion. There is a patio out front that had a few people in it despite the light rain. It looked like a great place to sit and relax for lunch or dinner. The service was a bit slow but again, there were 9 of us and it was very late (11pm). The drinks came in about 10 minutes. The food, however, took about 50 minutes to arrive and once it got there it was almost room temperature (at least my fries were) but everything was extremely tasty and everyone loved their meals. The server was very nice and responsive. Refills arrived much quicker than the first drinks did and always with a smile. She was genuinely nice, which made the wait tolerable. The prices are reasonable and what you get for the money is fair. I would definitely go again however, I would try going at an earlier time next time I go. Maybe things would move quicker if it wasn't the end of a Friday night. But all in all, I enjoyed my visit. read more

When they first opened, the place was great, all around. The last (and I do mean LAST) time I was there, my wife and I sat at the bar for a drink and a couple of appetizers. The bartender was totally clueless about which beers came in pint glasses and which came in tulip glasses. I ordered a pretty standard beer that I get in pint glasses everywhere and he brought it to me in a tulip. When I asked about that, he said that was their policy and that I needed to order another kind of beer to get a pint. Basically, it was a choice between a couple of light beers and "maybe" Smithwicks, I don't remember. Well, I paid about $7 each for a very pedestrian beer for my wife and myself and we skipped the appetizers. Probably a good idea, since our previous visit the food was horrible, portions were small and the service was atrocious. Just moved into the area and was looking for some good wings. My personal favorite when looking for wings is garlic parm. And i must say that so far, this has been my favorite spot for them! We went here with another couple for dinner. It is a nice addition to the neighborhood. The food was traditional pub fare. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. My friend had a salad with ahi tuna. The tuna was sliced very thick for a salad portion but otherwise was good. I had fish tacos. They were tasty but the fish was a little dry. My husband had a cubano sandwich that he loved. Our other friend ordered a salad which he said was very good. He ordered his dressing on the side. He asked for a little more dressing as it only came with one small cup. The waitress immediately brought another cup over. At the end of the evening we noticed we were charged .69 cents for the additional dressing. This was surprising and disappointing. Overall it was a favorable experience but the restaurant has a few kinks to iron out and should not charge for a little extra dressing for a salad. read more

5 Stars for overall performance. I visit Dooney's every week for lunch with my office team. Food quality is really good, you can feel the quality chicken/meat. Servers are friendly, take extra measures to provide great service and are nice to talk to. We always ask for our fav server and she makes sure that we have extra water, napkins and all minor things which many big restaurants ignore. Great service, great food ! Only thing I dont like is the chips which come with sandwiches/burgers, although for extra $1 you can get fries. But chips are loaded with oil and are not good to eat. Every time they mess up my order. Blackened salmon Caesar salad. I don't understand. I goT home and and called to tell the manager that they gave me a standard salad instead of a blackened salmon Caesar salad and he said to come back for the order to be corrected. Me drive back?! No offer for free delivery for the inconvenience? I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant for their mistake. The manager offered me no other choice but to drive back. I guess I'm going to have to complain to his boss for this not to happen again. I will say that the salmon is good once cooked correctly. And the girls/waitresses and hostess are always always pleasant and nice despite the mixups (they get the stars) and they are always more apologetic than the manager. But still, it's annoying to have to always wait another 15-20 minutes to cook my order again with no discount. Not even a glass of water or soda for the trouble. So my beef isn't with the girls or the cook, it's with the manager who didn't accomplish Customer service satisfaction other than with a standard apology. Not okay. read more

I love Dooney's, never had a bad experience here! This last visit was a Saturday afternoon, not too crowded, we were seated and waited on right away. Drink orders and food were delivered to our table in a timely manner. We both had sandwiches, I had the roast pork with broccoli rabe and provolone (no longhots) and my husband had the cuban sandwich (no pickles). Both were great and the seeded rolls were excellent, as were the french fries. It was a nice, fulfilling lunch. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I went today with my family for a nice lunch out. We literally weren't in the restaurant more than 20 minutes before we got up and left. When we first walked in we were greeted (I say that very loosely) by an older gentleman who asked us, would you like a table outside? Meanwhile, it was a good 48° outside today. I looked at him and said no, and he proceeded to take us to our table. We sat down and for a good 15 minutes waitresses walked past our table staring at us. No one came up once to ask us if we wanted drinks or to even let us know that someone would be with us. I stared at every waitress walking back who stared back and kept walking. I couldn't believe it. After 15 minutes passed we got up and left. Never going here again. read more

Come here and order the fish and chips! Most of the menu is decent if you're not looking for anything gourmet. Fish and chips are a sure bet. It's the best I've had anywhere! It's crowded and noisy, but worth the trip. The beer list is pretty decent; they stock fairly local craft brews, mostly in cans and bottles. I purchased some wings from Dooney's yesterday and they were horrible. Absolutely no Taste to the wings or sauce . They must have just cooked the naked unseasoned chicken and dip them in tasteless sauce . Dooney's must have changed chefs because usually there food is good . I think the atmosphere sucked hardcore, I didn't like the fact that we were sat near the bar with my 6 year old. The prices are pretty fair, the service wasnt that great all, could do much better. I think its just a lot of hype really. My burger was heavy and not cooked the way I ordered it. Now the bread was really good and we all thought so. I think they need to step it up with their service (be a little more out going) and pay mind to how people order their meat, bc if I say medium rare I do not want chard corners and a little tiny bit of pink. We decided to try Dooneys Voorhess. Great looking place. Good beer selection. Service good & friendly but....... If your looking for good Irish food. No way! We were served potato leek soup. Tasty. But I Could have really enjoyed it if it wasn't served cold. Parmesan garlic fries.....again tasty but... there was a 1/4 cup of oil sitting at the bottom of the basket. Couldn't eat the oil soaked potatoes. Wife had the meatloaf....was served up as a grilled burger rather than the old fashion style meatloaf that one would expect a comfort dish should be. Finally, I was craving a good Guinness beef stew. Ah yes..a real savory taste of Ireland. But, My expectations got the better of me. A few chewy pieces of beef, in what looked like a gallon of thick brown gravy. I could see some peas but the potatoes & carrots were lurking somewhere in the muddy soup. Dooney's is an excellent local pub! The food is awesome. The wings rock! Other favorites are the quesadillas, calamari, Guinness beef stew and Shepard's Pie. The beer is always cold and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and courteous. My favorite night to go is Tuesday. Quizzo starts at 8pm and how can you beat $1.50 tacos??!! Been a patron since they opened and Dooney's used to be awesome. Over the past few years service and food quality has declined. Tonight, I get it that it's St Patrick's Day, but the bar service was absolutely horrible. On a night where you would expect the alcohol to flow, it creeped. Our apps made it to the table before our first drinks and we were done with the apps before my drink made it. Not the servers fault at all. This is totally the sign of a horrible bar staff. Drinks should be FIRST. I dont care about comp'd drinks. I want good overall service. I do NOT recommend Dooney's on a high volume night. The Guinness Irish Stew was horrible and one of our meals came out cold. The stew looked like it had been sitting for a day and the gravy looked broken ad store bought. Terrible! read more

The food and bar itself is amazing. I love the place. Sadly i had to stop going there. The service is awful. I worked in restaurants for years and for me to complain about service is unheard of because i understand the struggles. But Dooney's in Delran has the single worst service i have ever had. And this isn't from one trip. I would say the past 8 or 9 times i have had god awful service. I can't express enough how far i have to be unsatisfied to actually complain. Use to have amazing service when it first opened. It is now to awful to stand. And nearly everyone in the Delran area i have talked to has said the same thing. This place had great wait staff and great managers for a while. Now servers are inattentive and bartenders are not paying attention to customers. People who worked there would come in on trivia night and play and win the prizes which seemed odd to me.
