Service sucked. Food was not up to par. Limited craft beer menu. Waste of time and money.

Just moved into the area and was looking for some good wings. My personal favorite when looking for wings is garlic parm. And i must say that so far, this has been my favorite spot for them! Crispy garlicky and not drenched in parmesean cheese. It doesnt seem like they much drink options but i have yet to hang out by the bar. Lots of TVs and spacious! Service was good. read more

We went here with another couple for dinner. It is a nice addition to the neighborhood. The food was traditional pub fare. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. My friend had a salad with ahi tuna. The tuna was sliced very thick for a salad portion but otherwise was good. I had fish tacos. They were tasty but the fish was a little dry. My husband had a cubano sandwich that he loved. Our other friend ordered a salad which he said was very good. He ordered his dressing on the side. He asked for a little more dressing as it only came with one small cup. The waitress immediately brought another cup over. At the end of the evening we noticed we were charged .69 cents for the additional dressing. This was surprising and disappointing. Overall it was a favorable experience but the restaurant has a few kinks to iron out and should not charge for a little extra dressing for a salad. read more

Every time they mess up my order. Blackened salmon Caesar salad. I don't understand. I goT home and and called to tell the manager that they gave me a standard salad instead of a blackened salmon Caesar salad and he said to come back for the order to be corrected. Me drive back?! No offer for free delivery for the inconvenience? I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant for their mistake. The manager offered me no other choice but to drive back. I guess I'm going to have to complain to his boss for this not to happen again. I will say that the salmon is good once cooked correctly. And the girls/waitresses and hostess are always always pleasant and nice despite the mixups (they get the stars) and they are always more apologetic than the manager. But still, it's annoying to have to always wait another 15-20 minutes to cook my order again with no discount. Not even a glass of water or soda for the trouble. So my beef isn't with the girls or the cook, it's with the manager who didn't accomplish Customer service satisfaction other than with a standard apology. Not okay. read more

I have been going to Dooneys for years and today was my last time going, the service is so incredibly slow and the food is mediocre at best the staff is not personable or friendly and sometimes they can be very rude. I love Dooney's, never had a bad experience here! This last visit was a Saturday afternoon, not too crowded, we were seated and waited on right away. Drink orders and food were delivered to our table in a timely manner. We both had sandwiches, I had the roast pork with broccoli rabe and provolone (no longhots) and my husband had the cuban sandwich (no pickles). Both were great and the seeded rolls were excellent, as were the french fries. It was a nice, fulfilling lunch. read more

5 Stars for overall performance. I visit Dooney's every week for lunch with my office team. Food quality is really good, you can feel the quality chicken/meat. Servers are friendly, take extra measures to provide great service and are nice to talk to. We always ask for our fav server and she makes sure that we have extra water, napkins and all minor things which many big restaurants ignore. Great service, great food ! Only thing I dont like is the chips which come with sandwiches/burgers, although for extra $1 you can get fries. But chips are loaded with oil and are not good to eat. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I went today with my family for a nice lunch out. We literally weren't in the restaurant more than 20 minutes before we got up and left. When we first walked in we were greeted (I say that very loosely) by an older gentleman who asked us, would you like a table outside? Meanwhile, it was a good 48° outside today. I looked at him and said no, and he proceeded to take us to our table. We sat down and for a good 15 minutes waitresses walked past our table staring at us. No one came up once to ask us if we wanted drinks or to even let us know that someone would be with us. I stared at every waitress walking back who stared back and kept walking. I couldn't believe it. After 15 minutes passed we got up and left. Never going here again. read more

Come here and order the fish and chips! Most of the menu is decent if you're not looking for anything gourmet. Fish and chips are a sure bet. It's the best I've had anywhere! It's crowded and noisy, but worth the trip. The beer list is pretty decent; they stock fairly local craft brews, mostly in cans and bottles. They also serve a lot of macros, if that's your thing. read more

I purchased some wings from Dooney's yesterday and they were horrible. Absolutely no Taste to the wings or sauce . They must have just cooked the naked unseasoned chicken and dip them in tasteless sauce . Dooney's must have changed chefs because usually there food is good . Even my grandson the human garbage disposal couldn't finish eating those tasteless wings . Please add some seasoning on the wings and sauce . read more

Came here for a quick bite. Typical bar food. Got the honey BBQ wings and Irish nachos. Wing had a bit too much BBQ sauce and the Irish nachos were made with fries rather than chips. Bartender was very nice and quickly served us. Nice spot for a quick bite and drink. read more

I think the atmosphere sucked hardcore, I didn't like the fact that we were sat near the bar with my 6 year old. The prices are pretty fair, the service wasnt that great all, could do much better. I think its just a lot of hype really. My burger was heavy and not cooked the way I ordered it. Now the bread was really good and we all thought so. I think they need to step it up with their service (be a little more out going) and pay mind to how people order their meat, bc if I say medium rare I do not want chard corners and a little tiny bit of pink. Went here yesterday to try something different as we are not from the area. Most food ok not great but I had the Sheppard pie thinking an Irish pub couldn't screw it up but they did! Extremely greasy, I mean I poured some out of the boat it came in and was still a whole lot left. I did eat the mashed potatoes on top cause I was hungry and we were on our way to the movies but the meat was uneatable. We decided to try Dooneys Voorhess. Great looking place. Good beer selection. Service good & friendly but....... If your looking for good Irish food. No way! We were served potato leek soup. Tasty. But I Could have really enjoyed it if it wasn't served cold. Parmesan garlic fries.....again tasty but... there was a 1/4 cup of oil sitting at the bottom of the basket. Couldn't eat the oil soaked potatoes. Wife had the meatloaf....was served up as a grilled burger rather than the old fashion style meatloaf that one would expect a comfort dish should be. Finally, I was craving a good Guinness beef stew. Ah yes..a real savory taste of Ireland. But, My expectations got the better of me. A few chewy pieces of beef, in what looked like a gallon of thick brown gravy. I could see some peas but the potatoes & carrots were lurking somewhere in the muddy soup. I think that Dooneys has great potential. They just need to go back to the basics, I.e., make some adjustment and turn the Irish pub into an authentic tavern people can rave about. read more

Had the Shepherd's Pie: just ground beef underneath mashed potatoes and cheese, with string beans on the side. It was OK, but not worth $14.99. Liked the Kilkenny Cream Ale and the Irish Nachos. My sister's soup was luke warm, though the waitress gladly had it heated up. Have been here a few times before and enjoyed my meals more than this visit, Will return, but the Shep's Pie is off my list. read more

Dooney's is an excellent local pub! The food is awesome. The wings rock! Other favorites are the quesadillas, calamari, Guinness beef stew and Shepard's Pie. The beer is always cold and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and courteous. My favorite night to go is Tuesday. Quizzo starts at 8pm and how can you beat $1.50 tacos??!! My kids love the Shirley Temple's and burgers. Give it a try, you'll definitely be back. read more

A close option if you want to catch a game or grab some food/drink. The beer selection is surprisingly decent, with DFH 90 minute on tap! I had a chance to sample the huge wings and they were pretty good. The sauce could have been slightly better but for the shear size of the wings, they were worth it. Excellent pub. Attended a party here with a private bar and bathrooms. Drinks were strong and the bartenders were top notch. Wings are really good, the garlic parmesan ones were excellent. First timers and it's a great atmosphere ! It's your typical Irish pub/sports bar. The food is good here as well. I would recommend trying their wings and potato leak soup. I was surprise to see the soup on the menu, but totally worth to order. I also had the fried pickles and I've had better. I was hoping they would be pickle chips, but they came out as spears. The food and bar itself is amazing. I love the place. Sadly i had to stop going there. The service is awful. I worked in restaurants for years and for me to complain about service is unheard of because i understand the struggles. But Dooney's in Delran has the single worst service i have ever had. And this isn't from one trip. I would say the past 8 or 9 times i have had god awful service. I can't express enough how far i have to be unsatisfied to actually complain. Use to have amazing service when it first opened. It is now to awful to stand. And nearly everyone in the Delran area i have talked to has said the same thing. It's a shame because the place food and everything else i love. Hopefully they can get their act together but until then I'll go other places. read more

Been a patron since they opened and Dooney's used to be awesome. Over the past few years service and food quality has declined. Tonight, I get it that it's St Patrick's Day, but the bar service was absolutely horrible. On a night where you would expect the alcohol to flow, it creeped. Our apps made it to the table before our first drinks and we were done with the apps before my drink made it. Not the servers fault at all. This is totally the sign of a horrible bar staff. Drinks should be FIRST. I dont care about comp'd drinks. I want good overall service. I do NOT recommend Dooney's on a high volume night. The Guinness Irish Stew was horrible and one of our meals came out cold. The stew looked like it had been sitting for a day and the gravy looked broken ad store bought. Terrible! read more

Had to drop my rating. Service was slow tonight. Food took forever to come to the table. I use to enjoy the pot pie, but not anymore. The leeks were over powering and we both couldn't stomach the taste. They need to drop this from the menu. Next time we stick to our favorites. This place had great wait staff and great managers for a while. Now servers are inattentive and bartenders are not paying attention to customers. People who worked there would come in on trivia night and play and win the prizes which seemed odd to me. Been there twice and disappointed both times. Loud and so-so food. Quite a few beers on tap including Guiness, Harps, Irish draft cider, etc. but not served in pints. The fish and chips were OK. The Irish Beef Stew (Guiness) was disappointing. It was served in bowl over mashed potatoes and was barely warm. I like Dinty Moore Beef stew out a can better and costs way less than the $12.99 Dooney's charges. The restaurant /bar itself is very loud. It is a large open room in a strip mall taking up 2 or 3 storefronts. While they call themselves an Irish Pub they it is really just a sports bar with lots of TV's around with high open ceilings. There are too many competing sounds bouncing around inside the bar: Different games are on the TV's playing along with 2 types of music plus the noise form the bar patrons. My friends hand burgers off the menu and said they were good. It is not on my lists of pubs to return too. I recommend travelling further north on Rt 130 and trying Doc's or Geharty's Pubs up in Burlngton City instead. read more

Attended a party there. They now have a private room with your own bar and bathroom. I really enjoyed it. The buffet was good, didn't have to wait for a drink and you were able to hear each other talk. I would have a party there! read more

Place going downhill, went to dinner with hubby last week and they couldn't even cook a steak correctly, was sent back twice. Third time was just over cooked but he was starving so just ate it. Waitress asked if he would like a free drink (he was drinking ginger ale). Talked to Tracy the manager and instead of receiving a "free drink" asked for a small donation for a high school fundraiser. Was told sure no problem and to come back the following Tuesday and they will do something then. Went in that Tuesday then was referred to another person who "would give me a call". No response and total waste of my time, next time just say no. If you can't cook a steak right then I'm better off taking my business to Whistler's, Throwbacks and The Jug.
