My new favorite Irish pub. Dooney's is located near the Lowes shopping center in Delran where there's plenty of parking spots. The staff was very friendly when we arrived and we were seated right away. Lyndsey was our server and did a great job. We were fortunate to be there during the World Cup and also happy hour. They have an awesome happy hour menu. Plenty of draft beers from the U.K. which includes Smithwicks, Guinness, Harp, and Kilkenny besides domestic beers and their 1/2 and 1/2 combos. Happy Hour is from 3:30-6:30 Monday through Friday. The restaurant is quite large with a sizable bar area and high tops as well as a section for seated dining. Multiple TV's in the restaurant. Their food is very Irish pub style with Bangers and Mash, Fish & Chips, Shephards Pie, etc. They also have American style as well to include burgers, flatbreads and tacos. I had the Belhaven Scottish Ale which was great and went well with my chicken wings. Their wings are served breaded or naked (your choice). The wings were fantastic. I liked their dry rub as well. Not too spicy, but very tasty. The best thing about the wings was the Blue Cheese dip which contains huge chunks of blue cheese. I'll be back very soon. read more

My wife and I had a late lunch at the Northfield restaurant on Sunday, May 3rd. We enjoyed our sandwich lunches with Ciabatta bread. Very good! Our server , Luis, was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive. It's obvious that he takes pride in his job. read more

Too cute! I was taken here the night of the first Eagles game, and it was awash in green. I was kind of expecting a chain, but Dooney's has a strong local following as well. They had outdoor seating in a fenced off are with fire sticks around it, but didn't seem to have much lighting. Inside was much brighter, with televisions everywhere. The chicken wings were tasty even though they weren't buffalo, but did get oily quickly. The firecracker shrimp had good flavor without being painfully spicy. The Crabby Ray chips were fantastic - good flavor, good cheese, and who doesn't love crab? Our waitress was friendly and did check up on us, but didn't seem to rush people out. read more

Yeah, we come here like once every couple months but last Sat was prob the worst experience. Service was sooooo slow. From getting our drinks, to placing and order and then to receiving our food. It was painfully slow. Our server was super apologetic all throughout and we did feel badly for him and didn't "punish" him with a poor tip. But the biggest issue/complaint is that we have a kid (a young adult kid) with pretty severe food allergies. We specified it (sesame seeds). And as she was ready to bite into her salad thankfully she saw that the croutons were seeded. So the poor kid has to wait even longer for her food. It sucks enough to have food allergies but then to sit there and watch other people eat while she hungrily waited. Guys, so more than the timeliness, being careful with food allergies needs to be better despite how busy you are. Unfortunately we won't be going back here. read more

Had lunch there recently, we go there on a regular basis. The food is good and generous portions. Our server was excellent. One thing I noticed is that the price of a local draft beer shot up to $9 - $9.50, used to be a lot less. Usually busy, the bar was empty, regulars can't afford that price. I went to Dooney's Pub a few nights ago and I cannot stop thinking about the amazing experience I had at that establishment! First of all the food was to die for. Even a simple chicken finger platter was out of the park! The music they were playing in the background was truly setting a great mood! And our server Allie was the BEST server my family has ever experienced. She was efficient, funny, beautiful, and hardworking! What happened to Dooneys? We used to eat at Dooneys once or twice a month, but in the last few years, the quality of the food and the service have declined so significantly, we haven't been in a while. I wish we hadn't gone there tonight, because now I don't think I'll ever return. The Shepherd's Pie had exactly two pieces of meat and one carrot - the rest was celery and "gravy" which was really au jus. The crab cake sandwich was in crumbles, not a solid piece, so eating it as a sandwich was impossible. It was very fishy tasting as well, and unpleasant. Not only did we eat here in the past, we routinely recommended the restaurant to anyone who asked for a great lunch or dinner spot. How embarrassing. I did not complain to the restaurant staff, as it is run by teenagers, who literally laugh and shrug their shoulders. Perhaps the owners will pay attention one day but until then, we won't be going back. read more

Food is great, great live music & atmosphere. The service is left to be desired some servers are amazing but, If you get Sara try not to be to annoyed by her asking you if your food is good before try it or the 100x of you needing things. Yes you may like that, you may not, but please don't get annoyed when she doesn't listen to directions when you ask for things for your order to be done a certain way & she brings it out wrong. Then you ask for a box for a large main course size food untouched dinner & she gives you a box for a small appetizer size food. I'm was completely dumbfounded. I couldn't figure out if I was the stupid one or her at that point. I had to ask for the manager to get a larger box bc I couldn't deal with any more of her incompetence for the night!! Decent pub food. Had the pulled pork au jus with broccoli rabe and long hots. Not bad. Not Nick's Roast Beef caliber but not bad. Wife had a Reuben and not bad. Wanted extra dressing on the side which never came. Cheese fries are good. And we were pleasantly surprised by the Potato Leek Soup which was hearty and tasty. Service was adequate and ambiance typical of a sports bar. We are going to compare to Whistler's Inn down the road in Cinnaminson and see who has the edge. We gave Jug Handle Inn a shot and no, will not be going back. So four stars is a respectable stretch and will try something new next time. read more
