I was a little surprised since that seems like something that would be helpful to have available at a campground. Overall, the store didn't seem very well stocked with everyday essentials. It's definitely convenient for firewood and a few quick things, but I wouldn't rely on it if you need toiletries, medicine, or other basic necessities. Down the road there was another store that had everything.

I saw they did private tours so I booked it with me and the family we were traveling with. It ended up being a GREAT experience and we had Nigel as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and kind and allowed our kids (4 boys) to interact with the process and tap some trees. We also got to sample some syrups and candies while there. The staff were helpful and welcoming, and there's a cute gift shop with White Mountain merchandise and local goodies. Public restrooms are also available. It's an easy pull off from the main road and a great first stop to get oriented to the area. There are also stamps here for people collecting travel book stamps. Kathy was especially great, she was very kind, helpful, and very funny. She went out of her way to make sure we had our trip planned out with all our questions answered. They also offer maps in multiple languages, including Chinese, French, German, Japanese, and Hindi and I loved the accommodation. Overall, great stop to get acquainted with the White Mountains!
