We came to the Rocks for a Spring Break trip in March. I actually had found it a couple weeks before our trip because I was looking for a place to show my kids the process of making maple syrup. I saw they did private tours so I booked it with me and the family we were traveling with. It ended up being a GREAT experience and we had Nigel as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and kind and allowed our kids (4 boys) to interact with the process and tap some trees. We also got to sample some syrups and candies while there. Each year we visit The Rocks Estate as a family event to select a Christmas Tree and wreath. After the devastating fire last year and COVID this year we were concerned about their ability to open for the season. So, we were pleasantly surprised to not only find that they were open but also had an online reservation system to support social distancing. We had a great experience, wearing masks, and came home with a great looking tree! We even spent some time chatting with the farm's manager, Nigel, about their plans for the future: a great guy! Highly recommended! And it supports the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, too. read more

We stumbled onto this estate by accident. Our last name is Rock & we wanted to take a picture with the sign. We saw there was a gift shop and thought we would take a look. They have many beautiful and reasonably priced offerings. We chose a snow globe, Christmas ornaments, handmade cards, four handmade soaps (I couldn't choose at only $4/bar!) 2 stemless wine glasses & a "s'mores on a stick" out of sheer curiosity. We were the only customers in the place, as this estate is essentially out in the middle of nowhere. The shopkeeper was helpful and super friendly. When we explained that our names were Rock and we were looking for a "Rock" hoodie, she explained that there was actually another gift shop behind the one we were in. She walked us over and opened it up just for us. She let us walk around and told us to just bring our goods back to the first gift shop and she would ring us up. It was so nice of her to open up the shop and let us shop privately. The grounds itself are beautiful. They offer maple tours and of course, during the Christmas season, sell Christmas trees. The views of the white mountains are simply stunning. Just walking around the The Rocks Estate grounds was beautiful in late September, the foliage and scenery were gorgeous and inviting. If you ever get the chance, pop in. It is quite the experience. read more

This was a place that we went to each year to have a sleigh ride and shop in the gift shops and buy wreaths and Christmas trees. Unfortunately they experienced a tragic fire which burned down the two gift shops and yet not the house that was quite close to them. So this time when we went we couldn't buy the smores kits to cook over the open fire and instead of a free hay ride we were asked to pay $10 a person. Since we had been on it multiple times it really wasn't worth it to us. The wreaths were pricey and not very fancy. Pretty much all of the extra things besides Christmas trees were gone and there's really not much to see and do anymore. I do hope that they rebuild it and bring it back to its former glory. i am writing this on jan 11th, got my tree dec. 5th, the tree is still healthy, i will keep it up for another week, but honestly would probably last until feb. got a tree and a nice decorated wreath for about $100, totally reasonable. such a nice place to walk around, beautiful surroundings, have been going for years, doing some remodeling d/t the fire a couple years ago, look forward to seeing the new additions next year. good hardworking people running the place, all i can say is thank you! read more

Nestled in the sleepy town of Bethlehem, NH, The Rocks Estate is a Christmas Tree Farm. The property also houses the North Country Conservation & Education Center for the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, which means that there are ample hiking trails and regular educational events for children and adults alike on their premises. When we were visiting New Hampshire on vacation we decided to stop here for some nature walks/hiking that we figured would be less arduous than many of the mountain hiking trails. We were pleasantly surprised at how absolutely stunning the property is, with a tremendous view of the mountains. We took the Christmas Tree trail which loops through the farm. There were many vantage points with QR codes set up along the way, letting you take a self-guided walking tour using your cell phone. There were also little stations set up where you could put your camera to get great shots of the mountains. We used them to take photos together using my camera timer. This absolutely adorable, stunning property is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. I imagine purchasing a Christmas tree from here is a lot of fun in the winter. read more

We used The Rocks mail order shop to have our Christmas tree delivered to our door in New York City. The tree is perfect, it arrived promptly, and I didn't have to deal with dragging a Christmas tree around NYC to get it back to our apartment. The tree arrived very fresh, and packaged in a tall, slim box which made it easy to set up. The customer service was excellent -- I had phoned before ordering online because I had never ordered a delivered tree before and I had a lot of questions. The woman I spoke to was so nice and friendly and answered all my questions. Highly recommend! The best, easiest Christmas tree I have had. read more
