Well that's different…read more Went here today after our local donut shop was closed due to power outage. We hadn't been here in years because they've changed ownership it seems many times. When we got there they were sold out of donuts, but when I saw what they had left I was intrigued. There were pastries that you don't typically see in donut shops. I was surprised that my kolache wasn't sticky. It was fluffy and tasted like it was made with care. Here is what made me realize we've been missing out. - The spinach pastry at Archie's is a true standout. This creation tastes like a buttery quiche with a fluffy, layered croissant puff. The combination of spinach and rich, flaky pastry is pure perfection, and the outside is as rich in flavor as the filling.

There is no other way to explain the lack of traffic out the door here. Sure, there's the sign on the building, but heading south on Davis, you can't see it until you're past it.
