Once we got into there, we were blown away by the food-- we enjoyed the turkey harvest melt--and the olive tapenade sandwich with amazing meat, provolone and arugula. We can't wait to go back.

(I'm still partial to Krispy Kreme however that's quite a drive from here.). The place is rather large, the dining area indoors looks like it's good for at least 30 people anyways and then the outdoor porch weather permitting is probably good for another 20. I arrived about 15 minutes after they opened and the line was forming pretty quickly however it also moved along pretty quickly. The person that takes your order is not the same person that gets your donuts and puts them in the box, so that seems to streamline things pretty well. There's a display up by the cash register with one of every donut that is currently being sold that morning/day so you can make your selection easier. The menu is a little more extensive than donuts, as they also have hoagies and shareables and of course coffee/ juices. For whatever reason, somebody decided to put donuts with beer... Yeah I don't know... But, if the mood strikes you they have a very fine selection that they rotate from time to time of draft beer. It's a pour your own kind of a thing and they also sell growlers. There's of course t-shirts and other random souvenirs that not only have the company logo/wording but Owego in general. Bottom of mind this place is definitely worth a visit.

As frequent visitors, we want to unconditionally love Frog Pond Farms, because it's clearly a LOT…read moreof work to offer what they do and we respect that kind of hard work. When our daughters were toddlers, they could spend all day looking at the animals while we browsed through the enormous quantities of plants and produce. But we can't continue to ignore the "cons". The parking lot looks like it's been bombed, and - as other reviews have noted - it's not exactly the safest place when you consider lots of children running around. Visitors must be extra vigilant and patient when pulling in and finding a place to park. On busy days, the one long narrow strip of parking spots can be a challenge. The far end of the business where chicks, ducks, and bunnies are sold is incredibly fly infested. Fly paper rolls could go a long way in making it more tolerable. I'm not sure if the horrid conditions in some of the cages impacts the health of the birds, but I can tell you we purchased 5 silkie chicks a couple of weeks ago, and two of them died within days, and a third is showing signs of distress. This is not the first time we've had this experience with animals we've purchased there - sick animals, inaccurate sexing. We have stopped considering Frog Pond as our "go-to" place when we want to add to our flocks. The flies are also a problem in the fruits and vegetables. I was browsing the display of berries and grapes and completely rejected any notion of buying them with the quantity of flies that were landing on them. I don't know if there's a solution to that, being that it's - in effect - an outdoor farm stand. Look, there's a lot that's amazing and wonderful and unique about Frog Pond. The work they put in to stocking it, the amazing math wizard at the register who adds everything up in his head just like his dad did, etc. The place has gotten a LOT bigger since we first discovered it and that growth may be working against them. Other reviewers have stated much of the produce is trucked in from outside the area, and not grown locally. Not sure if that matters to most people, but the place does give the "vibe" that it's a local source farm stand that offers plentiful heaps of whatever's in season. The prices are quite a bit higher than what you'd pay for similar items in local grocery stores, but again - we understand the overhead must be pretty substantial for Frog Pond. If you have children - especially little ones - they'll see the place as Disney. When the magic wears off, though, and you start noticing how many greenbacks you're handing over when you go, you start to consciously reflect on whether it's worth the trip out there.

Lots of Amish goods, farm fresh eggs ( and I mean fresh, the lady walked out the chicken coup to grab me a dozen). Service is top notch as it's family run and they actually care! They really do the farm ambiance to the hilt. Tons and tons of wholesome snack and a really great selection of meats and sausage. But wait... they make subs and sandwiches too. Now one can argue that an Italian sub isn't anything special but theirs was!!! Best sub I ever had and it was really inexpensive. This place is a gem!

We enjoy the Amish products we'd been told that they sell, and wanted to grab some soft drinks and jams/jellies. Our friends who told us about it touted their donuts, so we naturally had to pick out a few of those while we were at it. The exterior is like a post card produced by a Chambrer of Commerce. It is idyllic and beautifully attended. Even the antique pickup trucks out front were spotless. We noticed how spotless the interior is, and how well stocked and orderly the shelves are. The young women on duty were friendly and helpful. I haven't yet opened the jam or sodas we bought, but the sodas are a brand we know. The jam is awaiting us on our shelf. But, Meg and I each enjoyed a donut. Meg had the Pumpkin, and I had the Chocolate Oreo. They were both delicious. They were however, smaller than what I'm used to commercial donuts being. About the size of a Strohmans Cruller, if you are familiar with them. I recommend Little Creek Farm store. You should expect premium prices, but also premium products including the meats packaged by their butchers. Enjoy!
