All of this fresh produce for only $10!
    N H.

What a gem! I wish I had discovered this place earlier as I've been living down the road from them for the past 2 years and didn't notice this farm on google maps until I was googling some random places on a lazy Sunday afternoon. They offer a wide variety of fresh and pretty looking produce in addition to their homemade butters, jellies, and bakery goods. I ended up with 3 bulbs of garlic, a summer squash, zucchini, pint of blueberries, carrots, and a bundle of lettuce. All of that came out to only $10! Compared to the freshness and prices of produce to the local supermarket in the area, it's such a steal and I'm definitely coming here more often to get my produce!

For a complete city chick like myself, this was a real treat! They run a very efficient and affordable apple picking operation here. You get a fun little tractor ride up a hill into their orchard, which has quite a nice view on a clear day, by the way. They play "Old McDonald" and the like over a speaker for the ride. It's AWESOME. Great for the kid in you. Made a very tasty pie with BF from the apples we picked. The farm store is also very cool. They have some nice seasonal produce and homemade jams, cakes, pies, chocolates, etc. Even wine! If you try the ice cream, specifically the pumpkin, you'll thank me. And them for making it, of course.

    Sickly trees and rotting apples

Well first off if you try to walk up without the tractor you will be yelled at by the driver in a very belittleing way. Although he said there were signs "everywhere" I didn't see a single one. After my off putting trip up we were told only to pick apples from a certian section. The section we were allowed to pick only contained rotten apples. I literally didn't even eat any they looked so bad. Overall my experience from start to finish was dreadful and I didn't even leave with any apples. I will try to post some pictures of the sickly looking trees and the condition of the apples on them.

I love black and white cookies, so when I heard about The Black and White Cookie Company, I had to…read moretry them! Needless to say, they're the best black and whites I've had...and I've had a lot...Zabar's, City Bakery, Eli's, Stage & Carnegie Delis, Ben Ash...do you want me to go on? The Black & White Cookie Company is a different cookie all together. First of all, they arrive in a black and white box...make sure you get them from your mail guy/gal fast, cause they will want them! When you open the box, the smell of the cookies wafts over you (because it is THAT fresh...they arrived the next day!!!) and you'll see that each cookie is carefully, individually wrapped and labeled and placed inside a styrofoam compartment...I can't believe the care with which it was packed! The cookie is just amazing...I truly am at a loss for words. It's shiny; I mean, it actually looks like there's some kind of glitter in that cookie...look at the picture I took! You know when you break a black & white and it's heavy and kind of mushy? When I broke this cookie, it was so smooth...I don't know how to describe it other than that; no frosting crumbles either! I mean, it was one smooth break, not even a crumb fell! Other b & w's I've had taste like someone just smushed a cupcake and I kind of feel sick afterward. The cake part of the Black & White Cookie Company's cake has a lemony taste to it and it's light...you can see various sized holes like you would in a sponge (but it's in no way sponge cake!!!)...never seen that before in a black & white...they're usually dense. I like the black side better and this particular b&w has the most AMAZING black side!!! The other thing is, it wasn't oily like the ones I've had...I mean, I didn't have that residue on my fingers that you get when you eat a black and white. You do have to order them online and I've yet to see them in any bakery or store which means when you do order them, get a bunch...cause once you finish them, you're just going to have to wait till your next order comes!

I was never really crazy about Black & White cookies before...only because I had never tried…read morecookies from The Black & White Cookie Company. These are rockin' good b&w's!! fresh, soft, moist, great frosting, great flavor...yummm Plus, you can order custom designs/shapes for gifts or party favors...or just get some for your own sweet self!!
