Its such a quirky stop--a little no-frills donut shop literally inside a laundromat. The donuts are inexpensive, but are full of flavor. My go to is always the maple bacon, and it is hard to resist not just buying a dozen of those, but I also really enjoy the vanilla nut and butterscotch. Flavors are rich! Cash only, but there is an atm on site. Service is fast, and they expect you to be too. So be prepped for this mom-and-pop style shop. There are a few tables for seating outside. No service, clean up yourself. A couple of parking spots.

With that said, I feel very lucky to have this place right next to me. I have a great donut place that doesn't leave me missing all the options I left behind. I found this place early on, and it quickly became cemented into our Saturday morning routine. If I weren't such a shut in, this would easily be my go to place to hang out and relax with a donut and a latte. Super welcoming place you'd be happy to sit down in. These are top tier donuts I'd compare to any other revered place you've been to. I don't normally go for headlights, but here they're my first choice because the frosting is perfect. Even the simple donuts are a straight up euphoric experience. They don't do food outside of donuts and sometimes some other baked goods. Then they have a full coffee/espresso menu. This past summer they started using the location for the Afternoon Scoop, where they're not afraid to combine these donuts with soft serve or Perry's ice cream. And huge bonus points to them for staying open through the winter. It definitely gets expensive coming here. I may just be out of touch with normal prices, but it feels kind of high here, with donuts starting at $2.00 a piece. The only other drawback is that they can sell out any time. Some mornings I show up at 10:00 and there's almost nothing left. If anything, it speaks to the quality of the product, and you can always get around it by showing up early.

During a time when many businesses were just trying to keep the doors open and the lights on this donut shop was born. For many of us we appreciate the fact that we have an alternative to DD. Well here we are a place we can go grab a half dozen donuts and coffee and head to work. Anyone that knows that making donuts is both an art and a passion. Not to borrow from the other aforementioned but there is a reason for the image of "it's time to make the donuts" and early rising of the donut man. The same is true today. It takes dedication and attention to deal. Here the proof is in the first bite. Here I think there is something for everyone from the more standard donut to the more premium. I was delighted when I found they have pistachio flavor for your latte. I've been asking around for the past two years when I first had a pistachio latte in the Adirondacks of all places. Again, it was a nice diverge from the normal and the everyday. I give the new owners and staff props for braving this new economy and hope they continue with what they have going.

Rounding up from a 3.5 to 4!…read more We had lunch at Kelly's Landing nearby and wanted to try Mimi's for dessert on the way home. Though they're located on a corner lot of a busy street, it's still a pretty unassuming little building. I definitely spotted the graffiti first before the Mimi's sign. One side of the small building is graffiti for Mimi's and the other side is for the Burgers on Bridge food truck right next door, both by local artist Falldowng. There's really just room for one or two people max to step inside the building to order at the counter, while other people wait outside. It wasn't very busy on a weekday just after lunch, but there weren't too many donuts left. They specialize in gourmet yeast donuts. We ordered cinnamon sugar, cookie monster, lemon meringue, Mexican hot chocolate, cannoli, and explosive chocolate peanut butter. I was expecting more pronounced flavours, more of a pop, especially in the Mexican hot chocolate and "explosive" chocolate peanut butter donuts. I think the lemon meringue was the most flavourful because of the tart lemon filling, but I liked the cannoli the best because of the cannoli filling with mini chocolate chips. They had a notice to customers that said their prices recently went up. Not sure what they were before, since this was my first time visiting, but we paid $20 even for a half a dozen yeast donuts. They also serve ice cream scoops, sundaes, milkshakes, coffees, and DavidsTea. The ice cream is from Central Smith Creamery. I also got a large cookie dough milkshake and a cinnamon sugar donut. You can get a milkshake with any of the ice cream flavours they have available. The cookie dough was good, more tame, which I thought was great for a milkshake, but I wish I had a bit of a bigger straw to suck up the mini chocolate chips. The donut was a classic, not too thick and not too airy. I'm not a big cake person, so we didn't order any of the cake donuts, but they did have a few available (s'mores, double chocolate, chocolate dip, and vanilla dip). They have a few small tables and chairs outside for groups of 2, a large parking lot, and a ramp for accessibility.
