I share the car with my daughter and our budget could not handle this type of repair, but it was not an option. The stress and worry about this was overwhelming. I decided to get another bid and drive by Bobby's Fenton Auto Repair everyday. So I stopped by and he was getting ready to close but was so kind. I explained the check engine light was coding a bad catalytic converter and the vehicle was barely running. He took down all my information and called the very next day. His estimate came back at 1/3 of the first bid. He scheduled me in within a week. He was very affordable and fast, I was even able to afford a tune up w/ new plugs. I dropped off the car before work and it was done and ready to be picked up by the time I got off work. Our vehicle is like driving a new car, we are so excited, no more issues at all and the check engine light hasn't come back on. At first, they told me they would have to pull the bumper to get to the lights. And they pulled into the bay, came into the waiting room and told me that that was not the case told me would be $238.65. Since they already had it in the bay, I told him to go ahead. Took them about 40 minutes. When I got the bill, it was $185 for labor & $49.98 for the two lights. A few days later I happen to be driving by the dealer and ran in to see what it would cost. It was $162.00 that included labor and two lights. So I dropped into Legacy And questioned the bill. I was basically told I could've shopped somewhere else or told them to pull the car when they told me the price. I figured they'd at least try to match it but they didn't. So I won't be going back if I have to pay dealer prices I'll go to the dealer. They were friendly enough, just not up front and honest. Like I said, according to their website, their prices are better than the dealers. That's definitely not true.

When I called they said I could just drop my car off and they would be able to get to it either same day or next day...so that's exactly what I did. Last week, after work on a Friday, I drove to Dobbs. I walked inside to talk with the guys behind the counter and Christian helped me. He was quick to get the paperwork started and even offered to drive me back to my house so that I didn't have to request an Uber! I really didn't know they had shuttle service, but I am glad they do. Christian took down all the information for my car and then went outside to check the plates before he came back inside. Once we had the paperwork filled out, he told me that they would have it ready as soon as Saturday morning! Then he went to get the keys to the shuttle and drove me home. What a friendly dude! Thanks. Saturday morning I received a phone call to let me know my car was ready. When I arrived to pick it up, the guys behind the counter were chatting and having a good time and even included me in on the joke they were laughing at. I needed that energy-it was great! When I asked if they accepted the Yelp 15% discount, they informed me they did not which is not a big deal because a lot of places don't always offer that. They even told me that they did not know how to take it off, so here is my request for Yelp (Jason?) can you all remove that Yelp "check in" discount? Thanks!
