I was grateful to get an appointment so quickly and decided to schedule an oil change as well since it was about time for one. After scheduling, I received a text confirmation and then a reminder the day before my appointment, which I really appreciated. On Monday morning, I arrived around 8:00 a.m. when they opened to check in and drop off my car. I was greeted right away, and the check-in process was quick and easy. They already had all of my vehicle concerns in the system, so they simply confirmed the details with me. Since it was my first time at this location, they also suggested a full vehicle inspection, which I knew would be helpful. Later that day, I received a text with a link to a detailed vehicle report. It clearly outlined what needed immediate attention (the driver's side window) and identified a few other items to keep an eye on. I really liked how the report included photos and easy-to-understand explanations. I called to review the costs of the window repair and oil change and also asked whether there were any other priority issues. The employee I spoke with was honest and straightforward, explaining that the other items could be addressed during a future visit if needed. A few hours later, I received a call letting me know my car was ready for pickup. Unfortunately, I was still at work and wouldn't be able to make it before closing. They offered to send me a payment link and explained that they would place my keys in a secure lockbox outside so I could pick up the car later that evening. Super helpful! Last week, after work on a Friday, I drove to Dobbs. I walked inside to talk with the guys behind the counter and Christian helped me. He was quick to get the paperwork started and even offered to drive me back to my house so that I didn't have to request an Uber! I really didn't know they had shuttle service, but I am glad they do. Christian took down all the information for my car and then went outside to check the plates before he came back inside. Once we had the paperwork filled out, he told me that they would have it ready as soon as Saturday morning! Then he went to get the keys to the shuttle and drove me home. What a friendly dude! I went to the dealership that sold me the tires,they did an investigation and determined it was a factory defect. How many unsuspecting customers do they take advantage of with this fraud! We did not receive calls to inform us about the repair progress, we had to stop in to get information. After four days, we picked up the car only to determine later that the repair was not completed. Additionally, the car was returned to us with a filthy steering wheel. While that's not a big deal, it does demonstrate the mechanics lack of attention to detail. To be fair, I got the impression that the owner was out of town during this time. I am curious if our experience would have been different had he been there. Regardless, we won't be back.

The ONLY repairs he does are those that are needed. Trust is a hard thing to find and keep these days but I know through and through if Adam says its needed - then it's needed. Case in point. I had my 78 Corvette in for an oil change since it needed it and I'd be out of town for a month so I couldn't do it. What I didn't expect is that the oil person noticed a very few ever so slight and small silver specks when draining the oil. (No other place would have noticed I tell ya.) Come to find out I was losing a piston skirt on the #7 cylinder of the engine. I had to do the engine rebuild to fix it but that paying attention, to even the most mundane of tasks, was the difference in an easy rebuild of a couple grand or whole engine replacement from catastrophic failure totaling about over eight. No doubt there are good shops out there but I don't believe there is a better one than O'Keanes.
