I had to follow up with the store on MULTIPLE occasions to get an accurate date as to when my dress would be in. When my dress finally arrived, I went in for alterations and Kelly said the cost would be over $1,000 after already spending nearly $3,000 on my wedding dress. The sales rep originally told me alterations would be about $500 so when Kelly casually told me the alterations total I was shocked. More than double what I was quoted?! I don't have parents paying for my dress so this is all coming out of my pocket. I asked, because I purchased the dress in her shop, if there was any kind of a discount to which she swiftly replied, "No. Absolutely not." At that point I tried to rack my brain as to whether I'd be able to come up with the rest of the money and said I wasn't sure and that I'd need to take the dress and figure something out. She rolled her eyes, stormed off, put my dress into a bag and said that if I came back for alterations, I wouldn't have it in time for my trip to Spain (I'm having a destination wedding). I felt like she was trying to scare me into leaving the dress with her, which is really messed up. What started as a sweet moment in a nice shop was ruined once Kelly got involved. UPDATE: I found a shop in Riverside who will do all the work needed (hem, bringing in the waist/bust, AND adding sleeves) all for under $300. I also found matching fabric for my dress at New Rainbow Fabrics for $25. You can do much better than this shop.

Days before our first appointment I started hearing stories about girls dresses falling apart that was made by this other seamstress. I got nervous and asked around once again and Mimika came highly recommended. I called Mimika and felt really confident with I had chosen the right seamstress by the questions she was asking me about my daughter and the dress. We got to know Mimika and her team pretty well during the dress making process since there were a bunch of fittings and she ended up altering the rest of the familys clothing for the big weekend. She is absolutely lovely. She also may be the busiest seamstress in town with the # of people coming in and out of her office for fittings, but she always made her deadlines. The dress she made was even prettier than the tiktok original. She also took the material from the dress and added it to a pair of white Jordan's, which completed the look. My daughter was thrilled. I was also thrilled with a dress she altered for me. I had trouble finding a dress to wear for the occasion and finally found one i liked, but not loved. However, after Mimika altered it I loved it and it was just perfect for the occasion. Two weeks before my daughter's bat mitzvah she had a little freakout that the high low dress she had chosen was going to rip in the mosh pit. She asked if we could shorten it and I called Mimika in a panic. She assured me there was no way this dress could rip, but said she would shorten it if that's what my daughter really wanted. I trusted that it wouldn't rip and she was right; the dress held up perfectly all night long (and there was a lot of moshing :)). When I got the dress back - I noticed that there were numerous pulls in the fabric of the dress along the side that had to be quickly altered. I did not even bother to call her to tell her about it. I will definitely not be going back. Their alterations are good - not great. If you are looking for simple hemming or alterations - I think they would be acceptable. Anything other than that - do not go here. Also - Make sure to remind them about your confirmed pick up times/dates. VERY IMPORTANT.
