For weeks I called several stores, left messages and none of them would call me back. I really thought I had to cancel the show this year until Omaima came to my rescue! She not only returned my call but she also agreed to work with us to help make this show a success. We had set up a date and time for the girls to pick out a dress to wear for the show. By the time they arrived there was already an assortment of beautiful gowns ready for them to try on. Omaima and her assistant were so patient and kind. They made sure each girl chose a dress that not only made them feel confident and beautiful, but also flattering to their unique shape and height. The girls had a good time trying on dress after gorgeous dress, standing on the platform in front of the large mirrors, and admiring themselves and each other. As an added bonus Omaima even wrote descriptions of each dress for us to read during the show! The store is small but charming. The decor is warm and welcoming. I can imagine how a bride would feel being in this type of environment surrounded by their loved ones and saying "Yes to the dress." It just has that type of vibe. If you're looking for a dress for that special occasion, do not hesitate to come to Omaima Couture. You'll be glad you did!

There is a reason why the best review for this bridal shop is the owner's sister. If you can alter…read moreor purchase your dress anywhere else, I suggest you do so. In summary, my experience fell short of what one expects from a boutique shop. While we are expected to pay boutique prices, boutique service is not what is provided. I purchased my wedding dress here because I love supporting local, women-owned business. Well, after months of not receiving any communication as to when my dress would arrive, I contacted the shop. I had to follow up with the store on MULTIPLE occasions to get an accurate date as to when my dress would be in. When my dress finally arrived, I went in for alterations and Kelly said the cost would be over $1,000 after already spending nearly $3,000 on my wedding dress. The sales rep originally told me alterations would be about $500 so when Kelly casually told me the alterations total I was shocked. More than double what I was quoted?! I don't have parents paying for my dress so this is all coming out of my pocket. I asked, because I purchased the dress in her shop, if there was any kind of a discount to which she swiftly replied, "No. Absolutely not." At that point I tried to rack my brain as to whether I'd be able to come up with the rest of the money and said I wasn't sure and that I'd need to take the dress and figure something out. She rolled her eyes, stormed off, put my dress into a bag and said that if I came back for alterations, I wouldn't have it in time for my trip to Spain (I'm having a destination wedding). I felt like she was trying to scare me into leaving the dress with her, which is really messed up. What started as a sweet moment in a nice shop was ruined once Kelly got involved. UPDATE: I found a shop in Riverside who will do all the work needed (hem, bringing in the waist/bust, AND adding sleeves) all for under $300. I also found matching fabric for my dress at New Rainbow Fabrics for $25. You can do much better than this shop.

Kelly had champagne ready and a positive and energetic attitude toward the process! I started looking for a dress a few months later than recommended (quicker wedding) and Kelly really helped me with my timeline for getting my dress ready in time! I found my dream dress at Sew Bridal but had some ideas to make it even better and Kelly was open to helping me make all of the changes. She made sure everything came out absolutely perfect and it was an amazing experience. She also took a piece of my grandmas dress and stitched the date my grandma wore hers and the date I wore mine in blue as my something old and something blue, which was so special. I highly recommend Sew Bridal! Full disclosure, Kelly, the owner is actually my sister, which made this experience even more special and amazing to me. I have watched Kelly make her dream a reality with Sew Bridal and through Sew Bridal help so many people look and feel confident and amazing on their wedding days. It was really a wonderful experience to be able to be her costumer!

From the moment I walked in, I felt like the center of attention in the best possible way. I loved being able to browse the dresses myself--touching the fabrics, examining the details, and really taking everything in on the hanger before trying anything on. It made the experience feel intentional, personal, and exciting right from the start. Jenny immediately understood my taste and the vision I was going for. She listened so thoughtfully, guided me with confidence, and somehow even won over my mom--which is no small accomplishment! She was always on Team Me, following my lead, prioritizing what I wanted, and making sure I felt comfortable and confident every step of the way. And then came the moment. The second I put on the dress, I completely lost it--instant tears. I had been so worried I wouldn't "just know"... but wow, did I know. It was that overwhelming, emotional, once-in-a-lifetime feeling you dream about, and it could not have been more perfect. I was able to say YES to the dress, the pricing was exactly what I expected, and I left feeling beyond excited to walk down the aisle. I truly had the most marvelous time and cannot recommend Diana's Bridal--or Jenny--enough. If you're looking for a bridal experience that is personalized, supportive, emotional, and genuinely unforgettable... this is it.

My daughter has ordered so many white dresses for graduation from all my (not so) favorite stores…read moreshe loves to shop at - Princess Polly, Beautiful Boutique to name a few. At one point i realized the returns were costing me more in return fees and time so her closet is bursting with white dresses and she still hadn't found "the one." Then one day she said that her friends had a lot of luck finding a "designer" white dress at Gigi's Closette and we should make an appointment. I clarified that designer didn't mean Prada and was more along the lines of Amanda Uprichard so that it was in our budget and made an appointment for a Friday afternoon. I could see why we needed an appointment because there were sooo many girls coming in looking for graduation dresses and other occasions. They had a great rack of white dresses and my daughter found one immediately. It had a slit she didn't love, but the seamstress was also there and said she could easily close it up for us. Done! I then had to make another appointment for a few weeks later to pick up the dress. Beyond the rack of white dresses their clothes weren't really our style, although i did spy some Generation Love clothing that was super cute. They also had some great jewelry and my daughter walked out with a bubble initial necklace and some cute hoops. And we bought a necklace for her friends bday. They keep a running list of the dresses the girls all buy so no one shows up in the same dress. We were the only people from Glencoe so didn't really matter for us (and personally i think all these white dresses look the same), but helpful if your daughter goes to a school and they all shop here.

I came to Vogue with one month before my sister's wedding and no bridesmaids dresses for 5 women with various sizes, ages, and a very firm wish of the bride about what she wanted us to wear. These women at Vogue are Dress Professionals, and they have seen it all. They came highly recommended to me by a friend, and I only wish I had started my shopping here. The shop appears small from the outside, but it has the widest selection of styles, colors, and sizes I have seen anywhere. They have dresses for prom, cotillion, homecoming, bridesmaids, Jr. bridesmaids, and mother-of-the-bride. I was so relieved to find the dress my sister wanted, and for only $165. The dresses were ordered, and arrived a week later and a day earlier than promised. Alterations were done (mine was $30 to shorten the dress) quickly and professionally. If you come to this store with a bad attitude, you only have yourself to blame for a poor experience. Come with an open mind, speak slowly and clearly about what you wish, and enjoy the lovliest spot in the Northwest Suburbs for some real girly-girl shopping!
