I have a PPO because I like selecting my doctors so I was weary of going to see a doctor I hadn't researched or selected. Since I feel I get amazing care with my current medical provider I decided to take her recommendation. I didn't know what to expect from my appointment with Dr. Duffin. I have a very limited understanding of what rheumotologists do. Dr, Duffin took the time to pull up my medical records on some medical record sharing software system. He went through about 5 years of my medical history asking me questions and reading over lab reports, doctor's notes and my MRI. Dr. Duffin was able to tell me what was wrong with me, what I should expect and how I can treat it. He took the time to show me things online, explain to me what he was showing me and he printed up some materials for me to take home and read. He was very patient in answering all my questions. He ordered a few more blood tests and called me on a Sunday to report the results when I called his office with a question he called me back on a weeknight at 10pm. I'm not sure if the Sunday and 10pm calls are for everyone, but I didn't mind. If you're in the market for a rheumotologist, I highly recommend Dr. Duffin!

Yesterday I called to see if I could get in to see him as my sinusitis is still giving my trouble, Micaela who has answered the phone told me, we have an opening now, you have 15 minutes and I arrived in about 12, Dr Borovay woukd not see me, I came back home and called my service provider to obtain a new doctor and I wouldn't take my dog to see Michael Borovay!!!!

The waiting room was comfortable although there was little privacy for people checking in and providing private information. It didn't matter to me, but might have to a lady who tried to whisper about her diabetes and could be clearly overheard from 15 feet away. Back to Dr Borovay, he brings his assistant into the examination room and she takes notes during the exam. The patient gets a copy following the exam which I found, in my case, redundant but probably useful for busy or forgetful people. It's also a protection for the doctor so that a patient doesn't claim later "You didn't tell me that!!" The medical office and the exam rooms were very clean and modern. It was a pleasure seeing this doctor who is now my primary care physician.

I have nothing to gain by writing this, but when I saw the other review I could not believe it and had to step in. She is a wonderful person, always happy and really cares about her patients. I always felt as if she really wanted to get to know your needs and to help. I never felt rushed or that she was too busy to do her job well. She always goes above and beyond and has taught me things about my health that I use on a daily basis. I think any bad experience comes from the office as they are busy and sometimes hard to get a hold of. I highly recommend Sharon F. Genato if you are ever lucky enough to be her patient!

Jackie (sp?) in the prescription refill center helped me this morning after my mail order pharmacy dropped the ball....several times. I called my doc's office, and Jackie sorted everything out and got me squared away. Best of all, she was speedy and efficient, and not once did I have to hear the scripted customer service jargon that makes your eyes roll like a pinball. Not Jackie, she was genuine and friendly, and within a few minutes, I was set. Now, if only I could bottle Jackie's service and pour it on my mail-order pharmacy.
