At that time Dr. DeLatour was teaching Dentistry at George Washington University, and offered Saturday hours in Fairfax which's also let him have students present for our care. During those years Dr. DeLatour did all of his dentistry, fillings, crowns, root canals. He had two sons and one daughter. She , I believe graduated in Nursing. He often ask my wife questions, since my wife was oldest to two brothers. We were loaded to head out one Saturday on vacation...a temporary crown Dr. DeLatour had installed the pdevious week, fell out. I called him from a pay phone and our Dr.met us at his office and reset the temporary. In February 2002, my wife became sick and I called Dr. Delatour to reschedule her appointments and he said that a Physical limitation he was going to give Jo his practice. . We knew that his son was a very successful dentist on his own part. I believe graduated of several upper lever J.S.Army , dental schools. Were we still in Northern Virginia, this is where I would be. He has always been honest with me as to the pros and cons of a procedure. I look forward to my annual visits because he treats me with respect and is considerate of my needs. As a previous reviewer said, he doesn't have a fancy office; it isn't necessary. In the past, when he did not have the equipment for a procedure he referred me to a colleague who did. I recommend Dr. DeLaTour to anyone who asks me who to use as a dentist.

All the equipment looks like it is from the 70's, and they don't even have water squirters for when they clean your teeth. Instead, after every quarter mouth, they raise you up in the chair, give you a cup of water to swish around, let you spit into this suction cup/funnel thing, and then lower you back down. The staff is nice but reserved. Dr. Colasanto is very friendly and jovial, he could be your grandpa, and I like that about him. He's probably about 75 years old but he knows his stuff. The first time I came in, he checked my teeth, said I had a small cavity and then slapped me on the arm and said, "Do you want to take care of that now?" I liked his spontaneity and appreciated that I didn't have to come back. The downside is on my second visit, from the time I entered the office to the time I left the office, it was 14 minutes. This included cleaning and check-up! So if you are interested in an in-and-out, quick and dirty, only stop you if there's a rotting hole in your mouth visit, go here. I have always felt totally confident in his abilities, he doesn't try to up-sell you on any procedures or treatments, but he'll talk to you candidly about the pros and cons if you ask him about various things. I don't think he's over-casual. He's casual but not unprofessional. He'll take the time to answer your questions and he'll take your concerns seriously. No, there has not been any redecorating in years, but that doesn't bother me. The office is clean and functional. Nothing is broken or peeling - just dated. I'd probably really rate him a 4.5, but I think he's close enough to a 5 that I will round up.

Thanks for being nice about it.) 3) Referred me to an oral surgeon once who was also interesting, fastidious, and followed up with me in off hours. Dr. Pandak inspected the work and was satisfied. 4) Good administrative practices such as knowing what insurance covers and doesn't, using two advance reminders (a postcard a week prior, a phone call the day prior (some of us need it!)). 5) Usually is pleasantly chatty during the actual cleaning, which can really help with any anxiety I might have built up (no pun intended). 6) Leave the office feeling like I've done my best for my own health and wonder how long I should wait before eating because my teeth feel so clean. This is a great practice and they take great care of you. I'm not a big dentist fan, though have a mouth full of fillings and crowns, so I'm always apprehensive when having to see a new dentist. When necessary, Dr. Miller has referred to other dental specialists that he not only recommends, but also sees when he has an issue. Dr. Miller has always been above board and fixing all of my problems and identifying solutions. Hope he stays in practice for many years, as it would be difficult finding another dentist of his caliber.

Dr. Prestipino took all the time necessary to answer my copious questions, offered me choice in the final product even when he had strong opinions, and engaged with me on a personal level. Suddenly started going to this scumbag and I had a cavity every single visit, sometimes two. One day I went and there was another "doctor" filling in and he was supposed to fill the cavity I had been diagnosed with the previous visit. He looked around and said "I don't see any cavities". He then walked back and made some calls and then came back and said "oooh here it is, it was really small..." Someone who takes advantage of kids is beyond despicable. I don't trust tooth mechanics to this day and no one should.
