Our home location could not overnight contacts, so I googled Treehouse Eyes in Indiana and found VisionQuest. They were so kind and did everything they could to accommodate getting contacts for my son. I believe Jennifer is who I was communicating with while navigating the process. Located by the Palladium in Carmel, this place is in a nice brick building that has a private parking lot out front. I walked in, had to fill out paperwork and then was called back for my appointment. They did all of the normal tests and the girl who was getting basic info from me before the doctor came in was incredibly friendly and easygoing. The doctor was very personable and helpful as well, and even showed me the photos of my eyes and described every little part of them and what to look for. He also went beyond prescribing a prescription and gave me intelligent information on new 'anti fatigue' glasses that are supposed to help the eye strain most people are now experiencing after looking at computers all day and let me know my Lasik options. Tip: He said that Indy has one of the best Lasik surgeons in the entire country, so be sure to go to him if you get it done and not some place that is cheap (he said each eye should be about $2000 and if it's less than that, you should be concerned). Good to know! The icing on the cake was the woman who checked me out and ran through my insurance afterwards. Not only was she able to tell me exactly what my insurance covers in terms of contacts/glasses, but she also had my year-long contact order in stock and brought them out to me in a cute bag. So happy I don't have to make a trip back! Also, with the $200 rebate they came with, I'll be getting contacts for the cheapest I've ever gotten them which is awesome.

Everyone was extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable, and there were a lot of tests conducted and I never felt like they were trying to push me to buy anything extra or get something I didn't need. They gave me a free sample of eye drops and also in the eye exam found an issue with my eye that I've never even been aware of and recommended how to treat it so I'm really happy. The doctor was very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel like he was rushing through anything. I highly recommend!

While getting excellent eye care and answers, they don't mind lots of talking or even if something said does not come out just right, they are good with people just being people. This creates an environment that is hard to find these days, leaving you feeling amazing afterward and inspired to keep it going in your next environment. I don't know how their prices compare but I do know using my glasses and contacts reminds me of really great people that I am grateful to interact with. Also Dr. Avila, who advises me, has always given great advice and has been one of the best doctors I have ever worked with.

Top reasons Dr. McLean & her office is my favorite: -Easy to schedule appointments online. The receptionist emails you to confirm and is flexible if you need to reschedule if conflicts arise (not like I know from experience, or anything...) -My wait time is almost nonexistent. I checked in, signed a consent form and hadn't even sat down and Dr. McLean whisked me away for my eye exam. -Dr. McLean is so kind, but more importantly, knows her stuff. She performs the most thorough and efficient eye exam I've ever had. We're talking in and out in 35 minutes on my lunch break. She makes sure to ask if you have any questions or concerns you want to talk about. Her soothing voice helps me concentrate on keeping my peepers open when she's shining a bright light in them. -The receptionist noticed my sunglasses were stretched out from wearing them on top of my head (apparently a bad habit) and offered to tighten them for me while I was checking out. He never once smiled or made any type of polite conversation. At the end of the exam he left without saying the exam was over. I sat in the room for 10 minutes before I figured out that he was done. He's probably a great doctor, and knows everything to know about eyes. I'm probably going to have contact lenses that are the just right prescription, but there are plenty of doctors who can do this with out being curt. I felt uncomfortable the whole time he was examining me. The worst part about this practice was not even Dr. Brazus himself. The worst part is the old lady optics technician. I don't know what her name is but she's about 65 years old. She showed me 3 or 4 glasses that had rhinestones and crystals on them (and were $300 for the frame only) and told me they were perfect for me. They WOULD be perfect for me if I was a 65 year old lady with tacky taste. I picked out two less expensive frames, that were simple black frames that looked kind of nerdy, and told her iI liked them. Her response was "those are not right for you at all. They wont look right on you." When i INSISTED that I wanted that type of frames, she told me to go home and think about it, because the crystal Dolly Parton glasses were perfect for me. I'm not making this stuff up, people! Later, when I decided to fill my glasses prescription online instead, and went into the office to ask for my prescription, she pursed her lips and treated me like I was stealing from them. They have a great selection of frames and sunglasses at a reasonable price. This location is definitely bigger than my previous MyEyeDr. Emily has always taken great care of me even if I'm just coming in for an adjustment. She also worked with me to find the best possible discount as I am currently retired on a private insurance plan.

I was told they were not needed. A few days later I get a call saying they need the frames! I live 25 miles away and am working when they're open. Needless to say, I had to take time off of work. Took time off for the appointment, now to bring frames and soon to pick up frames. It cost me a lot of money. They finally apologized after I made mention that they couldn't even apologize. If it was a mistake, then say you made a mistake! Don't keep making excuses and making me pay for it.
