It was very chill. They have 2 locations and this one is the more 'lax version off the side of a road. Their other locations is in Chilliwack which is more established as a restaurant type. After talking to the guy at the till, he mentioned that they switch flavours every thursday. That was intriguing and made this place more interesting. I guess it's a place I'll have to come back to time to time. This place is more known for their sours. I have to agree. The strong blueberry one was really good. It was packed with flavour, thanks to the blueberries. Some of the other fruit sours were a bit of a miss. I had high expectations for the strawberry one but didn't really get strawberry unless I thought about it... My fave thing about their flights are the drink cards that go behind each flight glass. It was a nice touch to be reminded of what you got and read the vision behind the drink. (Almost wish the photos weren't of the cans but more of a moodboard to convey the flavour's vibe).

The "Taste of the Market" event is always organized before the Christmas season each year. I always enjoy the vendors' products, such as cheese, cooked foods, chocolate, olive oil, cured meats, desserts, and more. This event is really fun! Each product is unique and delicious, and we get to try small bites from every vendor. This year, all the vendors' foods were excellent. I especially enjoyed Mt. Lehman Cheese's aged cheddar, Those Pretzels, Lepp Market's turkey cranberry sausage, Grass Roots' smoked cheese, Madame Loïk's whipped cheese, Callister Craft Soda, Centennial's cookie dough spread, Fraser Valley hazelnuts, Charlie Ivy's olive oil, and a cranberry spread served on top of nachos (unfortunately, I forgot the vendor's name). It was a fantastic event that I attend every year. If you missed it, I highly recommend checking it out next year!

Of course everything was quite pricey because you pay for the quality. The day I went, they featured fresh raw (not fermented or heated) hot sauce by local BC brand Caliente. The owner of the business was there giving samples on homemade chips! It was delicious and felt good to support local. They have their Lepp ice cream stand outside, $5.95 for a scoop. There are picnic tables outside with umbrellas to have your ice cream. We took home half pints for $6.95. It is some of my favourite ice cream because they use full fruits (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry flavours) and it has a velvety texture. Their cafe inside has great classic bakery items like red velvet cake, cinnamon buns, scones. They have coffee, sandwiches, soup which makes the market a great stop when travelling through the lower mainland and wanting a quick bite. The beef goulash was amazing! So hearty almost like a chili, bits of beef throughout. Lemon square could've been more sour. It was quite sweet and the frosting was additional sweetness. Coffee was standard. They said they use Ricardo coffee beans. There is bar style seating inside. You can also buy their food items frozen to take home!

We ordered a Dirty Chai, the Cold Queen from their seasonal menu, and split a Vegetarian Sandwich plus an Espresso Banana Bread. For two people sharing food and grabbing drinks, coming in under $40 felt like a total win. I love that their sandwiches are made fresh and fully customizable--your choice of bread, toppings, sauce, the whole deal. But the Espresso Banana Bread? Listen. Moist, rich, espresso‑kissed goodness. We tried to share politely... but both of us were definitely eyeing that last bite. The drinks were equally impressive--the Dirty Chai was creamy, spicy, and had just enough espresso kick to wake up my soul. Now, the decor is an experience all its own. They really stick to their gothic brand identity--right down to the menu. Think haunted country manor meets cool indie cafe. Dark walls, dramatic pieces, and yes... upstairs there's an actual table made from a coffin. It's a whole vibe. That said, I'm not sure eating a sandwich under an animal skull is quite for me. But the food and drinks were stellar enough that I'd absolutely come back--maybe just grab my goodies to go next time. The staff were incredibly friendly, and although the space is small (warehouse‑style with a couple tables and some bar seating), it has charm. Final verdict: Delicious drinks, great prices, unforgettable decor--worth the visit, even if you're taking your snack back to the land of the living.

The establishment was so unique for how it is decorated with Halloween decorations and antiquated-looking gothic ornaments. There is also a lounge area upstairs where you can feel more comfortable while you socialize and eat. I had their 'build your own sandwich', which consisted of salami, Dijon mustard, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and onions on a pretzel submarine bun. The sandwich was good; the salami was really good being given a generous portion of it, the vegetables were fresh and the bun, not so fresh, but was still good. Their coffee was pretty decent. The staff was very kind and welcoming. They even gave me a free cookie for my patronage when I asked for one of their baked goods. I recommend the Black Casket Cafe for anyone who loves stylish hangout businesses that serves specialized beverages.
