You can do everything in this one building. For example, you can get your blood tested here right away or if you need an x-ray or ultrasound. There's all sorts of practice here, such as psychologists, dentists, etc. I also like how there's a pharmacy on the ground floor. Its so convenient! They're usually pretty efficient so you don't spend a long time waiting for your prescriptions - which is great, especially when you're sick. Call me old, but I do hope everything stays the same here - even that one sllloowwww elevator.

It was a devastating blow, one far too many people have to endure. Following surgery on September 30th to remove the tumor, we learned it was non-small cell lung cancer. Chemotherapy began in late November. Chemo was very hard on mom, and she decided she could not continue. A body scan late December confirmed the cancer had spread to her hip bone, it was stage 4. When mom declined further Chemo, her Oncologist advised she had less than one year to live. This of course broke our hearts. Mom went through radiation on her hip - but declined further Chemotherapy due to the painful side effects. She was given less than 12 months to live. Dad refused to believe there were not other solutions - and undertook an extensive investigation. He was lucky to find CubaHeals. We were thrilled to learn she would be a candidate for CimeVax Vaccine. Mom, dad and my sister travelled to La Pradera, Cuba in March, 2017. It was one of the best experiences of their lives. They were treated like family, with love and genuine care. The team of doctors, nurses and staff took amazing care of them. Bonds were quickly formed. Following the week of treatment, they were sent home with Cimevax - and treatment continues. Late September mom had a lung scan and bone scan. Nerves were on high alert as we waited anxiously for results. Tears flowed freely when we learned her lungs were clear, the spot on her hip is smaller, and the cancer has not spread. Amazing news! UPDATE: mom had an X-ray last week - and lungs are still clear!!! You have given us hope and an opportunity to celebrate life! About the parking situation: there is a paid parking lot for the building but Fairview Mall is right beside the medical building so it's possible to walk over from there. I walked up to the counter to let them know I was here for my appointment but there wasn't anyone there. Staff kept coming and going but no one stayed at the desk until I had waited close to 10 minutes. I inquired if I had to check in for my appointment and the woman, very rudely, told me of course I had to. Well, if there was someone there I could've checked in 10 minutes before. I could tell the staff were frazzled but that's no way to treat someone coming into the clinic. The other lady there took my health card and form from the doctor and let me know which cubicle to wait in. The man confirmed my name and birthdate, gave back my health card and then took the samples he needed to. I understand that clinics don't necessarily need stellar customer service but being polite will go a long way.

There's a walk in clinic on the third floor and the X-Ray, Ultrasound and blood work laboratories are located on the second floor, so doctors have easy access to test results. Dr. Hong on the third floor is the most punctual doctor I've been with, but she only works on Fridays since she has four kids at home. She's fairly young and I don't think she's too experienced, however, she gets me my flu shots and makes sure I don't have major problems with my health. Transport: Driving would be most optimal, but there is a TTC bus stop in front of the Medical Centre.

This is outrageous because they are supposed to be nurses who take care of patients appointments but yet they do not even know how to do their job nor even be professional when it comes to booking and confirming appointments for serious patient needs such as a dressing change for a wound.
