Unionville Childrens Clinic - The toys that never work... Never any batteries

We've been patience with this clinic for nearly 8 years not much has changed except the location…read more They used to be in a very old run down clinic, and now are in a beautiful location with great views from the waiting area. But that comes with a price of its own, terrible parking, long rides and waits for the elevators... The location is good because it's surround by amenities, multiple bubble tea shops and so on, but it's very busy, and for us its a far drive out and the reason we kept doing this for so long is due to the doctor. The front desk is always swamped with patience waiting in line to check in, the staff is fairly snobby and rude, the waiting area is pretty and modern, but seeing as though this is a children's clinic, the kids want to play with their toys (which are always broken and out of batteries) the kids want to look through their books (but they are all damaged and torn up) and the kids often ask why the cartoon is never on ( with a tv hanging up in the wait room, with a cartoon that never starts) There are multiple doctors emphatic work here, we go to Dr. Wong . Dr. Wong is a good doctor, he is experienced, full of knowledge and fairly caring. Which is the reason why we/ our children are patients of his, after ready good reviews years ago, and so on....Although years ago he used to be more hands on and involved, including immunizing the children himself, now he gets the staff from front desk to do it... He will rush you out, and good luck if you have for then 2 questions... We are looking to transfer to another location, where it's less busy, with the staff who is better prepared, who can schedule appointments properly, a clinic that doesn't ALWAYS RUN OVER AN HIUR LATE- every single time!!!!! It's frustrating, time consuming, and takes away from our whole work day, and the children's school day. It's basically a waste of time. We certainly are not willing to keep returning to this headache, and will gladly be transferred else where!

1 - wait forever, even you made the appointment, still need to wait minimum 45 mins…read more 2 - doctor is always busy, extremely rude and impatient. every answer he gives you accompany with a big 'sigh' at the beginning with an book answer, not directly answering your question. It is liked he worrys he needs to be responsible, if you take his advices and things go wrong. 3 - we are still looking for a good Pediatrician who would take new patient. If you have other choice, I suggest stay out of this place.

Please don't use the pharmacy. I was checked by the doctor at 10:30. Good turn around. The…read morepharmacist took 1 1/2 hour to make the prescription despite the fact the there were only me and 1 other patien. it's very shamefu. I approached them 3 times to find out wha was taking so long. Finally after 1 1/2 hour later I git my medicine and this was after I had submitted my insurance detalis in advance to speed up the process. It was simply shameful to make a patient in pain wil for a full hour and a half for the medicine. I dont equate it to good patient care.

The reception told me that it's $20 for with reading for each step. I even repeated on the phone if "$20 including reading?" She said yes! Other locations are $30 for each step. I need the 2-Step test so a $40 payment for work sounds good to me instead of $60. I come in, it was busy so reception told me it will be about 40mins wait (which is probably longer anyway) so to come around 1:30pm since I had my baby with me. So I did. I waited an hour for the dr anyway... how convenient to be seen for not even 5mins. 3 days later I come in but only waited 10mins (so nice even though my baby wasn't with me this time). I was seen for 5mins again to do the reading and the Dr (a different one) told me that I had to pay $40. I told him what I was told over the phone and he apologized. Said that it's $20 for the injection, then $20 for reading since it's usually different Drs each time. I could've just went to a different location.. How could they mess this up? I do like how they have pillows in all their rooms and the sliding doors.
