I also disliked the way Dr Usman Khurshid spoke to me. He spoke too quickly and his manner was condecsending. I had to tell him to stop speaking to me as if I am an unintelligent woman! He also addressed me as "darling" and, again, I had to tell him to stop speaking to me that way! "Darling" isn't my first name! Both need to learn to be sensitive, especially towards patients who appear a little confused. They also need to practice patience and to speak to patients in a respectful manner! This office houses two doctors, if dr. browne is out of the office, the receptionist always asks if the other doctor would be suitable. Which is fine because she's very kind also. Dr. Browne is very upfront about things which I appreciate and says if she doesn't know something but always finds out. They are quick with test results, and she's very gentle during ackward procedures. BEST OF ALL. You can get an appointment here at almost any time you want, NO WAITING. I can call leave a message and within an hour I could have an appointment for a few hours later, or they even say come now if you can it's no problem. This is so different than any other doctors office I've ever heard about. I live 45 min away and refuse to transfer to any other doctors office closer.

These days my mother only goes for B12 injections and sadly we have not had a good experience. Each time we go, we are informed that the nurse only has 1 or 2 or x patients ahead of her. We wait for an hour, and get the ''same exact number of patients ahead of her response. We end up leaving. Yesterday when my mother went up to reception to ask about status after waiting an hour she was told to sit down. Very disrespectful. A B12 injection takes a minute. The doctors at the clinic are great. The admin and front line staff are not. For these reasons I give the clinic a poor review.

The short summary is that he probably was a good doctor once upon a time but his not consistent…read moreprofessionalism, long wait times and occasionally missing important factors in diagnosis detract from him as a health care provider. He has missed critical diagnosis factors that even a layman can sense. Which can lead to greater maladies than required. He doesn't seem to consistently keep track of medications and possible interactions that seniors are on. He also can be grouchy and has the bedside manner that's more like that of someone who woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I'd give him a lower review but for other neighbors and relatives he seems to please them. He also has in years past had moments of being helpful or seemingly caring. So that has to be factored in somewhere somehow right? He seems to pride himself as a surgeon or somebody with more training and offerings than a typical generalist but at seems to miss simple things such as your script. I won't comment about the wait times because those have been discussed elsewhere in quantity and detail. I don't know what goes on in his mind but he doesn't seem to be really enjoying what he does, where he's at or a lot of the patients that he sees.

I've been a patient at Spadina Health Centre for about three years now and am writing this review…read moreto let you know that you should all be jealous. First of all, my doctor - Dr. Ko - is great. She's totally non-judgemental - I can tell her anything (and have!) and she doesn't even raise an eyebrow. She listens to my concerns and investigates them appropriately, but without ever going into over-cautious just-covering-my-ass mode (I work in health care. I know what it can be like). She has never brushed anything off as all in my head or "just nothing" and I have faith that she never will. She even calls me herself with abnormal results. Really. She's super. But that's not the best thing about Spadina Health Centre. Along with the great location (Bloor and Spadina!) and the friendly, competent reception staff, it is incredibly easy to book appointments (they can always fit me in within a day or two for urgent stuff and within a couple of weeks for yearly physicals) and I have never, ever waited more than five minutes to be seen at the clinic. Seriously. I'll say it again. I have never waited more than five minutes to be seen for my appointments at this clinic. If the horror stories my clients tell me are any indication, this is almost unheard of in Toronto. Sadly for all of you, I don't think that any of the docs at this clinic are accepting patients right now, so it's sort of unfair to even mention how fantastic they are. But I'm at the tail end of the 30 day yelp challenge and I'm really scraping the barrel for review ideas, so neener neener.
